Senator Rand Paul goes after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
In the six months leading up to the Benghazi terrorist attacks, State Department and military officials on the ground in Benghazi repeatedly requested additional security.
All of those requests were either denied or ignored.
During the Senate hearings on the matter, I was able to ask then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton whether she read any of the requests from Benghazi.
She responded that she was too busy to read any of the cables from Benghazi.
Now, I might not expect the Secretary of State to read every cable from every country, but I do expect her to read every cable from one of the top most dangerous countries for American personnel. It was inexcusable. It was a dereliction of duty. And it should preclude her from holding higher office.
This past Friday, I had the privilege of speaking at the Lincoln Dinner in Iowa. During my speech, I addressed Clinton's handling of Benghazi and the lingering questions over what exactly happened. The obvious cover-up of what really happened in Benghazi is beginning to be revealed. There are very important questions we must have answers to -- but the Obama administration seems determined to hide the truth for political reasons.
The most important question remains -- why was this allowed to happen? I will stop at nothing to find the answer to this question and others. You and I must show the Obama administration we are serious.
Thank you for all that you do.
In Liberty,
Senator Rand Paul
P.S. The truth about what really happened in Benghazi is being covered up by the Obama administration -- including why this was allowed to happen.
Go Rand go. We want answers to who dropped the ball and how far up the chain of commmand the problem lies. Did Obama know? We know he doesn't give a shit and never has in fact he has done his best to prevent the truth from coming out. Rand is right on another thing too: Hillary Clinton,in higher office, would be disasterous and to put her in the presidency insanity. What does this mean?: she'll be the Democratic nominee for president.
