Youtube and other tech companies want to censor you

From Senator Rand Paul and Randpac:

Dear Patriot, I hope you’ll stand up and fight alongside me right now.

I’m going to need all the help I can get.

I’m up against not just the deep state in our government, but the tech world as well

I need you to help me fight back today.

It is a chilling and disturbing day in America when giant web companies such as YouTube decide to censure speech.

Now, even protected speech, such as that of a senator on the Senate floor, can be blocked from getting to the American people.

That’s not right.

It is dangerous and politically biased.

And if they can do it to me they Can do it to anyone.

Time to stand up and be counted.

Their arbitrary censorship is beyond the pale.

Nowhere in my speech did I accuse anyone of being a whistle blower, nor do I know the whistle blower's identity.

Apparently, YouTube has taken it upon itself to decide what questions can even be asked in the public debate, including on the

Senate floor.

Let’s show them the great silent majority of liberty lovers will be silent no more!

I need you to help RandPac spread the word here. RandPac needs to rally MILLIONS of Americans to this fight

So please be among the first to stand with me.

And please help RandPac spread the word through your Financial support as well.

Stand up to the left by saying no to impeachment

From Senator Rand Paul of RandPAC:

The left is up in arms, resorting against to violent threats against me. Social media is a firestorm or attacks. And many of my Senate colleagues ran to hide.

What is it all about? Once again it’s about left and their obsession with Donald Trump

It’s about their hatred and their quest to impeach

Will you stand with me and with President Trump today?

I need your help – because I need the President and my colleagues to know the social media mobs won’t win. That the fake news media won’t win. That we will have the courage to stand up and fight.

The partisan impeachment witch hunt is speeding up. The democrats voted nearly unanimously for a full inquiry. But witnesses can and are still being deposed in secret. And the so called whistle blower is being kept hidden.

We all deserve to face our accusers.

It’s time to END the witch hunt once and for all.

Please stand with us today

SUPPORT RANDPAC

And if you can help me spread the work through RandPac, I would appreciate it. It’s time to activate those who are sick and tired of the left and their dirty attacks

I can do more of that with YOUR help today.

Koch Brothers Encourage Republicans To Support Federal Legalization of Marijuana

Since the Koch brothers’ call for a repeal of federal marijuana prohibition, more Republicans have felt emboldened to stand up to the current administration.

The Koch brothers are one of the Republican party’s biggest donors. In fact, they have pledged to donate up to $400 million to Republicans running for office in the 2018 midterm elections. That kind of money carries a lot of weight with the party.

In January, the brothers began throwing that weight around in favor of states’ rights, the legalization of cannabis, and the end of the War on Drugs.

Sent in response to the Attorney General’s ditching of the Cole memo, the statement had some harsh words for Sessions.

“That Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a Republican appointee in a Republican administration, is undoing a Democratic appointee’s work from a Democratic administration is irrelevant,” the letter stated, adding, “Republicans and Democrats alike have criticized the decision, and for good reason: It does little to improve the lives of people in our communities.”

Going beyond just defending states’ rights, the statement also labels the war on drugs “misguided” and calls for a “new, smarter approach to drug policy.”

“The administration would be better suited working with members of Congress to reform outdated sentencing laws,” the statement reads. “However well-intentioned these laws were upon implementation, they have ruined lives, torn apart families and communities, and have burdened taxpayers, doing little to keep people safe.”

Republican support is growing

Since the Koch brothers’ statement, more and more Republicans have felt emboldened to stand up to the administration in this matter without fear of losing the support of GOP donors such as the Koch brothers.

Just last week, a bipartisan bill meant to replace the protections provided by the now-defunct “Cole memo” was introduced jointly by Representatives Lou Correa (D-CA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL). The bill is entitled the “Sensible Enforcement Of Cannabis Act.”

Earlier this month, Senator Thom Tillis, another powerful Republican from North Carolina, in a letter addressed to an advocate for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) wrote, “Proposals to legalize marijuana should not be taken lightly. As you may know, I am a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and this issue will likely be discussed this Congress. If this issue comes before the Judiciary Committee or the full Senate, I will carefully consider everything you have said in making a decision on what is best for North Carolina and the country.”

And in late January, a bipartisan group of 54 lawmakers sent a letter to President Trump urging him to call off Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who seems intent on harassing states which have legalized marijuana for medical or recreational purposes.

That letter was not the first action taken by joint members of Congress in reaction to Sessions’ threats. Just days after Sessions announced the death of the Cole Memo in early January, 69 members of Congress signed onto a letter proposing an amendment to the current spending bill that would include recreational marijuana protections.

Top Republicans support ending federal prohibition

In a recent article on Civilized entitled “8 Republicans Who Broke from the Party on Marijuana Legislation,” cannabiz journalist Joseph Misulonas wrote, “The Republican Party tends to adopt the old-school philosophy that marijuana is evil and legalization will be the downfall of society. But there are a few members of the GOP who are willing to speak out and break with the party on the issue.”

In the story, Misuloans discusses the stances of several Republicans, including Senator Bill Cassidy (Louisiana), a former doctor who supports legalizing medical marijuana, Senator Steve Daines (Montana), who once prominently supported a bill that would prevent the DEA from interfering with states with medical marijuana laws, and Senator Orrin Hatch (Utah), one of the oldest members of Congress, who recently came out as a pro-cannabis politician.

Also mentioned in Misuloans’ piece are Senator Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), one of the first people to denounce Sessions’ trashing of the Cole Memo, and Senator Cory Gardner (Colorado), who has been blocking the Department of Justice from receiving any new nominees until Sessions’ reverses his marijuana policies.

In at number one and two on the list are Senator Rand Paul (Kentucky) and Dana Rohrabacher (California). Paul supported legalizing medical marijuana nationally while denouncing the War on Drugs. Rohrabacher was a co-author of one of the most important pieces of cannabis legislation currently in play, the Rohrabacher-Blumenauer amendment, which prevents the federal government from interfering with states that legalize medical marijuana.

While Republicans seem to be warming up to the idea of ending federal prohibition and the War on Drugs, according to a report in Forbes, marijuana legalization “is quickly becoming a mainstream consensus position in the Democratic Party.”

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), who introduced the Marijuana Justice Act last August, says that “Legalizing marijuana isn’t a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.”

Now you are going to see some major changes. For those of you who remember the '80's drug war. You know it was no fun and we also knew that the tide went the other way in favor of prohibition. People losing their homes and families over marijuana,a plant that is lot safer than alcohol and anything the pharmaceutical companies put out.

There is going to be a lot of flip flopping. GOP prohibitionists are going to be scared shitless. They will see that times have changed and that they must make a choice. Side with the Koch brothers and abandon Jeff and Pete Sessions or side with Jeff and Pete Sessions and say goodbye to that Koch brother money. GOP candidates who do not receive Koch brother money don't do so well on election day and it's a little hard to run a campaign when you're broke. Times have changed and they've changed for the better when it comes to marijuana reform.

Sign the petition Pelosi fears

From Senator Rand Paul and The National Right To Work Committee:

Below is a petition I've had prepared for you to your Senators and Congressman, the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader.

It's crucial you sign it at once.

You see, President Donald Trump has pledged to support passage of a National Right to Work act –- and promised to sign it into law if you and I can get it to his desk.

Without a doubt, this is our best opportunity EVER to pass a National Right to Work law to end forced unionism in America.

A National Right to Work law would ultimately end forced unionism nationwide by removing the sections of federal labor laws that allow union bosses to force workers to join a union just to get or keep a job.

So please sign your petition and include your most generous contribution to launch the next, crucial phase for ultimate passage of a National Right to Work law immediately.

You see, the union bosses, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and their allies are going to use every trick in the book to kill a National Right to Work bill -- and they will try to do it as quietly as possible.

The union kingpins (and their water-carriers in Congress) can't afford the consequences of having their coercive privileges publicly debated and voted on in Congress!

They don't want the American people to know that:

***Millions of workers are forced to surrender part of every paycheck to keep their jobs.

This cash funds violent "organizing" drives, provides a limousine lifestyle for union bigwigs, and bankrolls radical, Tax-and-Spend politicians like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.

***Big Labor's power is deadly to millions of small businesses.

Big Labor politicians and Obama-stacked bureaucracies have been strangling small businesses with confiscatory taxes, destructive laws and straitjacket regulations.

***Forced Unionism exports millions of good jobs overseas.

Productivity-killing work rules, workplace class warfare, slowdowns, "sick-outs" and strikes all have taken their crippling toll, closing the doors of many businesses -- for good.

***Billions of forced-dues dollars bankroll radical Tax-and-Spend politicians like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, resulting in out-of-control spending and skyrocketing taxes.

That's why it's vital you sign your petition to demonstrate to Congress and the national media the strong support for Right to Work.

Of course, Big Labor allies in Congress may choose to obey the union bosses rather than the majority of their constituents.

That's their choice.

But time and again, when politicians defy the public and vote for forced unionism, they've paid the price with the end of their political careers!

So -- by all means -- let's have another vote and see which politicians want to end their careers in the next election.

That's why your signed petition and financial support are so important.

It's all part of the National Right to Work Committee's four-part plan to pass a National Right to Work law:

•Run TV, radio and newspaper ads targeting swing votes in key states and districts;

•Contact directly by mail and email up to 10 million supporters to urge them to demand their Senators and Congressmen vote for the National Right to Work Act;

•Brief personally the hundreds of favorable columnists, radio talk show hosts, editorial writers and bloggers nationwide who can help mobilize public opinion; and

•Crank up massive, paid phone banks in the days before the vote to really make Congress feel the heat.

Of course, this whole effort will be very expensive.

An all-out media and direct-mail blitz to mobilize massive public pressure on Congress will be the key to our success.

So, to pay for the expensive ads, mailings, phone banks and other efforts, it's vital you give a special contribution to the National Right to Work Committee today.

Will you make a generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, $25 or $10 to launch the next, crucial phase for ultimate passage of a National Right to Work law?

The National Right to Work Committee has successfully beat back Big Labor's forced-dues machine for decades.

And now it's critical the Right to Work Committee have your financial support right away to put politicians' feet to the fire to bring the National Right to Work Act up for a vote.

It would be a crime to let politicians who support compulsory unionism off the hook.

Up against the forced-dues-fed, billion-dollar might of Big Labor, all you and I have on our side is truth and public opinion.

Together with the National Right to Work Committee you can make the difference.

Unlike Big Labor, the National Right to Work Committee doesn't have (or want) the power to force anyone to pay dues.

So it has to depend on the generosity of folks like you.

Some folks have already given $250, $500 and even more. For others, a contribution of $25 or $50 has been as much as they could afford.

Whatever you can do, sign your petition and include your most generous contribution.

Please don't make it easy for Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Big Labor to destroy the National Right to Work bill.

Without your contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50, $25 or $10, the National Right to Work Committee won't be able to contact 10 million Americans, place the advertising, or staff phone banks to put Big Labor on the spot.

I believe it's vital we force roll-call votes in this Congress.

It's time to put Big Labor on the defensive. Without your help, the union bosses win by default.

Please act today.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul, M.D.
United States Senator

P.S. Since nearly 80% of Americans oppose Big Labor's forced-unionism powers, a public debate and vote on a National Right to Work law is Big Labor's (and its water-carriers' in Congress) worst nightmare!

Jeff Sessions balks at state's rights concerning marijuana

NEW YORK — In a national vote widely viewed as a victory for conservatives, last year’s elections also yielded a win for liberals in eight states that legalized marijuana for medical or recreational use.

But the growing industry is facing a federal crackdown under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has compared cannabis to heroin.

A task force Sessions appointed to, in part, review links between violent crimes and marijuana is scheduled to release its findings by the end of the month. But he has already asked Senate leaders to roll back rules that block the Justice Department from bypassing state laws to enforce a federal ban on medical marijuana.

That has pitted the attorney general against members of Congress across the political spectrum — from Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, to Senator Cory Booker, Democrat of New Jersey, — who are determined to defend states’ rights and provide some certainty for the multibillion-dollar pot industry.

“Our attorney general is giving everyone whiplash by trying to take us back to the 1960s,” said Representative Jared Huffman, Democrat of California, whose district includes the so-called Emerald Triangle that produces much of the United States’ marijuana.

“Prosecutorial discretion is everything given the current conflict between the federal law and the law of many states,” he said in an interview last month.

In February, Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, said the Trump administration would look into enforcing federal law against recreational marijuana businesses. Some states are considering tougher stands: In Massachusetts, for example, the Legislature is trying to rewrite a law to legalize recreational marijuana that voters passed in November.

About one-fifth of Americans now live in states where marijuana is legal for adult use, according to the Brookings Institution, and an estimated 200 million live in places where medicinal marijuana is legal.

Cannabis retailing has moved from street corners to state-of-the-art dispensaries and stores, with California entrepreneurs producing rose gold vaporizers and businesses in Colorado selling infused drinks.

Sessions is backed by a minority of Americans who view cannabis as a “gateway” drug that drives social problems, such as the recent rise in opioid addiction.

“We love Jeff Sessions’s position on marijuana because he is thinking about it clearly,” said Scott Chipman, Southern California chairman for Citizens Against Legalizing Marijuana.

He dismissed the idea of recreational drug use. “’Recreational’ is a bike ride, a swim, going to the beach,” he said. “Using a drug to put your brain in an altered state is not recreation. That is self-destructive behavior and escapism.”

Marijuana merchants are protected by a provision in the federal budget that prohibits the Justice Department from spending money to block state laws that allow medicinal cannabis. Under the Obama administration, the Justice Department did not interfere with state laws that legalize marijuana and instead focused on prosecuting drug cartels and the transport of pot across state lines.

In March, a group of senators that included Elizabeth Warren, Democrat of Massachusetts, and Lisa Murkowski, Republican of Alaska, asked Sessions to stick with existing policies. Some lawmakers also want to allow banks to work with the marijuana industry and to allow tax deductions for business expenses.

Lawmakers who support legalizing marijuana contend that it leads to greater regulation, curbs the black market and stops money laundering. They point to studies showing that the war on drugs, which began under President Richard M. Nixon, had disastrous impacts on national incarceration rates and racial divides.

In a statement, Booker said the Trump administration’s crackdown against marijuana “will not make our communities safer or reduce the use of illegal drugs.”

“Instead, they will worsen an already broken system,” he said, noting that marijuana-related arrests are disproportionately high for black Americans.

Consumers spent $5.9 billion on legal cannabis in the United States last year, according to the Arcview Group, which studies and invests in the industry. That figure is expected to reach $19 billion by 2021.

A Quinnipiac University poll in February concluded that 59 percent of US voters believe cannabis should be legal. Additionally, the poll found, 71 percent say the federal government should not prosecute marijuana use in states that have legalized it.

But marijuana businesses are bracing for a possible clampdown.

“People that were sort of on the fence — a family office, a high-net-worth individual thinking of privately financing a licensed opportunity — it has swayed them to go the other way and think: not just yet,” said Randy Maslow, a founder of iAnthus Capital Holdings.

Congress should keep Department of Justice out of states’ marijuana rules

Donald Trump was not elected president to renew crackdowns on marijuana in states that have legalized it for medicinal or recreational purposes.

Last week, it was revealed that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent a private letter to congressional leaders dated May 1 asking them to lift the Rohrabacher–Farr amendment, which prevents the Justice Department from meddling with state medical marijuana laws.

“I believe it would be unwise for Congress to restrict the discretion of the Department to fund particular prosecutions, particularly in the midst of an historic drug epidemic and potentially long-term uptick in violent crime,” Sessions wrote, citing no evidence linking medical marijuana to the “historic drug epidemic” or violent crime increases.

The Rohrabacher-Farr amendment, first enacted in 2014, is an important barrier to unnecessary federal intrusion in states which have considered and enacted laws permitting, by varying degrees, the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.

While marijuana remains illegal under the federal Controlled Substances Act, Congress should retain the Rohrabacher-Farr amendment to protect the right of states to make their own choices.

The majority of states, and the District of Columbia, now have laws on the books permitting marijuana for medicinal purposes. As an April Quinnipiac poll found, 73 percent of Americans oppose federal intervention in states which have legalized marijuana for either medicinal or recreational purposes. For the Trump administration to intervene now would not only contradict campaign statements by Trump himself favoring states’ rights on marijuana policy, but also needlessly flout the wishes of most Americans.

But clearly a legislative solution is needed beyond simply restricting the ability of the Justice Department to enforce laws against medical marijuana.

One such proposal was reintroduced last week by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators, including Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Called the CARERS Act, the bill would protect the possession, production and distribution of medical marijuana so long as individuals and businesses are in compliance with state laws permitting such activity. It would also allow Veterans Affairs physicians to prescribe medical marijuana, and remove federal restrictions on cannabidiol, a non-intoxicating chemical in marijuana which can treat problems like epilepsy.

The idea of depriving individuals suffering from ailments like cancer of safe access to medical marijuana is a cruel one that does nothing to make anyone safer.

Another proposal to consider is the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act, introduced by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, and Rep. Tom Garrett, R-Va., which would remove marijuana from the confines of the federal Controlled Substances Act, leaving to the states the autonomy to make their own choices, as with alcohol and tobacco. This would permanently resolve the conflict between state and federal law on medical and recreational marijuana.

For now, Congress should retain the Rohrabacher-Farr amendment and work toward shifting greater power over marijuana policy to the states.

Senator Rand Paul on the drug war

From Senator Rand Paul:

The attorney general on Friday made an unfortunate announcement that will impact the lives of millions of Americans: he issued new instructions for prosecutors to charge suspects with the most serious provable offenses, "those that carry the most substantial guidelines sentence, including mandatory minimum sentences."

Mandatory minimum sentences have unfairly and disproportionately incarcerated a generation of minorities. Eric Holder, the attorney general under President Obama, issued guidelines to U.S. Attorneys that they should refrain from seeking long sentences for nonviolent drug offenders.

I agreed with him then and still do. In fact, I'm the author of a bipartisan bill with Senator Leahy to change the law on this matter. Until we pass that bill, though, the discretion on enforcement -- and the lives of many young drug offenders -- lies with the current attorney general.

The attorney general's new guidelines, a reversal of a policy that was working, will accentuate the injustice in our criminal justice system. We should be treating our nation's drug epidemic for what it is -- a public health crisis, not an excuse to send people to prison and turn a mistake into a tragedy.
And make no mistake, the lives of many drug offenders are ruined the day they receive that long sentence the attorney general wants them to have.

If I told you that one out of three African-American males is forbidden by law from voting, you might think I was talking about Jim Crow 50 years ago.

Yet today, a third of African-American males are still prevented from voting, primarily because of the War on Drugs.

The War on Drugs has disproportionately affected young black males.

The ACLU reports that blacks are four to five times likelier to be convicted for drug possession, although surveys indicate that blacks and whites use drugs at similar rates. The majority of illegal drug users and dealers nationwide are white, but three-fourths of all people in prison for drug offenses are African American or Latino.

Why are the arrest rates so lopsided? Because it is easier to go into urban areas and make arrests than suburban areas. Arrest statistics matter when cities apply for federal grants. It doesn't take much imagination to understand that it's easier to round up, arrest, and convict poor kids than it is to convict rich kids.

The San Jose Mercury News reviewed nearly 700,000 criminal cases that were matched by crime and criminal history of the defendant. Their analysis showed that whites of similar situation were far more successful in the plea bargaining process and "virtually every stage of pretrial negotiation" than their African-American and Latino counterparts.

I know a guy about my age in Kentucky who was arrested and convicted for growing marijuana plants in his apartment closet in college.

Thirty years later, he still can't vote, can't own a gun, and, when he looks for work, he must check the box -- the box that basically says, "I'm a convicted felon, and I guess I'll always be one."
He hasn't been arrested or convicted for 30 years -- but still can't vote or have his Second Amendment rights. Getting a job is nearly impossible for him.

Mandatory sentencing automatically imposes a minimum number of years in prison for specific crimes -- usually related to drugs.

By design, mandatory sentencing laws take discretion away from judges so as to impose harsh sentences, regardless of circumstances. Our prison population, meanwhile, has increased by over 700% since the 1980s, and 90% of them are nonviolent offenders. The costs of our prison system now approach nearly $100 billion a year. It costs too much, in both the impact on people's lives and on our tax dollars.

I want to go the opposite way from the attorney general. That's why I've partnered with Senator Leahy and once again will be reintroducing the Justice Safety Valve Act.

This isn't about legalizing drugs. It is about making the punishment more fitting and not ruining more lives.

The legislation is short and simple. It amends current law to grant judges authority to impose a sentence below a statutory mandatory minimum.

In other words, we are not repealing mandatory minimums on the books -- we are merely allowing a judge to issue a sentence below a mandatory minimum if certain requirements are met.
We need this legislation because while there is an existing safety valve in current law, it is very limited. It has a strict five-part test, and only about 23% of all drug offenders qualified for the safety valve.

The injustice of mandatory minimum sentences is impossible to ignore when you hear the stories of the victims.

John Horner was a 46-year-old father of three when he sold some of his prescription painkillers to a friend.

His friend turned out to be a police informant, and he was charged with dealing drugs. Horner pleaded guilty and was later sentenced to the mandatory minimum of 25 years in jail.
As I testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Edward Clay was an 18-year-old and a first-time offender when he was caught with less than 2 ounces of cocaine. He received 10 years in jail from a mandatory minimum sentence.

Weldon Angelos was a 24-year-old who was sentenced to 55 years in prison for selling marijuana three times.
Former federal judge Timothy Lewis recalls a case where he had to send a 19-year-old to prison for 10 years for conspiracy. What was the "conspiracy"?

This young man had been in a car where drugs were found. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure one of us might have been in a car in our youth where someone might have had drugs. Before the arrest, according to news reports, this young man was going to be the first in his family to go to college.
Each case should be judged on its own merits. Mandatory minimums prevent this from happening.

Mandatory minimum sentencing has done little to address the very real problem of drug abuse while also doing great damage by destroying so many lives, and most Americans now realize it.

Proposition 47 recently passed in California, and it has spurred a cultural change in the way nonviolent drug offenders are treated, resulting in more than 13,000 fewer prisoners and a savings of $150 million, according to a Stanford Law School study.

Pew Research found that 67% of Americans want drug offenders to get treatment, not prison, and over 60% want an end to mandatory minimum sentences.

I urge the attorney general to reconsider his recent action. But even more importantly, I urge my colleagues to consider bipartisan legislation to fix this problem in the law where it should be handled. Congress can end this injustice, and I look forward to leading this fight for justice.

Why are they so secretive about the health care bill?

From Campaign For Liberty:

I could hardly believe my eyes as I read through news headlines like the ones below coming out of Washington, D.C. just last week. . .

“New ObamaCare Bill Hidden in Basement”

“House Republicans Hiding Their ObamaCare Bill”

“‘Secret’ Obamacare Plan Leads Lawmakers on Hunt Across Capitol”

“Sen. Rand Paul physically denied House GOP Obamacare bill”

So when is the last time you saw a smoky backroom deal in Washington, D.C. turn out well for the American people?

I’m afraid you and I both know exactly where this scheme being pushed by House Speaker Paul Ryan is headed . . . and it’s not going to be pretty.

So unless you and I want ObamaCare in the form of “ObamaCare-lite” or even ObamaCare 2.0 to become a PERMANENT fixture in American society, I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action.

First, please sign your REPEAL OBAMACARE! petition to your U.S. Representative.

And then – if all possible – please agree to your most generous contribution right away!

As a physician, I can’t tell you how I’m saddened that I even have to write you this email. . .

I can only imagine how the voters who gave Republicans control of the House and Senate must feel after they went to the polls to vote for candidates who promised to finally repeal ObamaCare. . . they must feel betrayed.

And make no mistake, ObamaCare must be repealed!

Since it’s passage in late 2009, ObamaCare has been a disaster in every sense of the word as. . .

***At least 300,000 small business jobs have been lost due to the law’s high costs and regulations -- and at least 10,000 businesses have been forced to shut their doors;

***ObamaCare’s employer-sponsored premiums have soared by 32% since 2010 while individual market premiums have skyrocketed by 140%;

***4.7 million people had their health insurance plans cancelled by ObamaCare’s implementation and were forced to enroll in more expensive plans;

***Competition has been thrown out the window as 70% of the counties across the country now have only one or two insurance providers;

***Medicaid is being stretched to the breaking point -- with projections that new enrollees will send Medicaid costs soaring to $3.8 TRILLION over the next decade.

Yet, politicians in Washington, D.C. are handing us nothing but their usual games -– insisting on delays and now even secrecy to work on a “replacement plan.”

When my son, Senator Rand Paul, went to get a copy of the proposed bill, he was turned away, and his request was flat-out denied!

Replacing ObamaCare with a free market, limited government solution like my son has introduced ought to be Congress' goal.

But if that was what Congressional leadership was planning, would they really be drafting their bill behind closed doors?  How much faith do you have they are going to really do what they promised us?

Remember the Patriot Act and ObamaCare itself were drafted in secret in order to make sure most members of Congress and the public didn't learn what was in the bills until after they were passed.

The truth is, using the budget reconciliation process -- which requires only 51 votes instead of the usual 60 needed to overcome a filibuster -- Congress has the votes right now to repeal ObamaCare.

With House Speaker Ryan and others likely to continue their behind-the-scenes funny business, you and I must demand ObamaCare is repealed NOW.

Not next year.

Not when Speaker Ryan, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) sing "kumbaya" together over some bipartisan scheme they all love.

NOW.

That’s why it’s vital you act today.

With your help, Campaign for Liberty is prepared to pull out all the stops to make Congress listen by:

>>>Using mail and email to mobilize up to ten million Americans insisting that Congress use reconciliation to repeal ObamaCare;

>>>A non-stop PR blitz to explain, from a physician’s perspective, why ObamaCare must be repealed NOW!

>>>Social Media and Internet ads to explain to younger Americans how ObamaCare is a raw deal and urge them to insist that reconciliation be used for nothing less than full ObamaCare repeal.

I’m counting on you to make all of this happen.  It won’t be cheap, of course.

But if you and I don’t run this program, I’m afraid ObamaCare could end up being cemented on the federal books for good.

So please agree to your most generous contribution of $15 TODAY.

I know that’s a lot.

But you and I must spring into action.

Of course, if $15 is just too much, please agree to $10 or at least $5 right away.

The ONLY way to finally repeal ObamaCare is for Congress to stop running scared and stand and FIGHT.

I’m counting on you to make that happen.

Please sign this petition and agree to your most generous contribution of $15, $10 or at least $5 IMMEDIATELY.

For liberty,

Dr. Ron Paul
Chairman

P.S.  House Republicans won’t even allow the American people to see the supposed ObamaCare replacement scheme they’re working on.

You and I both know this is bad, bad news.

That’s why I’m counting on you to please sign the petition to your U.S. Representative insisting they vote to REPEAL ObamaCare IMMEDIATELY.

And if at all possible, please agree to your most generous contribution of $15, $10 or at least $5 TODAY!

Sessions reassures senators: No pot crackdown imminent

The Trump administration is causing serious paranoia among marijuana advocates with its hints of a federal crackdown on recreational use. But Attorney General Jeff Sessions has privately reassured some Republican senators that he won't deviate from an Obama-era policy of allowing states to implement their own marijuana laws.

Sessions has rattled both libertarians and liberals in ordering a review of the hands-off pot policy under President Barack Obama. But Sessions provided some private assurances to senators before he was confirmed that he was not considering a major shift in enforcement, despite his opposition to the use of marijuana.

“He told me he would have some respect for states' right on these things. And so I’ll be very unhappy if the federal government decides to go into Colorado and Washington and all of these places. And that’s not the [what] my interpretation of my conversation with him was. That this wasn’t his intention," said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). in an interview.

And since he was confirmed, Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) said administration officials have left him with the impression there is no big policy change coming.

"Nothing at this point has changed," Gardner said.

But a large group of bipartisan senators aren't taking any chances. They sent a letter on on Thursday urging Sessions to uphold the Obama-era policy of allowing states to implement their recreational marijuana laws, after the Trump administration has indicated it could crack down on marijuana.

The effort is led by Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who hail from states that have legalized marijuana. Press secretary Sean Spicer has hinted at "greater enforcement" of federal laws treating marijuana as an illegal drug. Sessions said this week that he is "dubious about marijuana" and is reviewing current policy.

But senators are beginning to push back.

"We respectfully request that you uphold DOJ's existing policy regarding states that have implemented strong and effective regulations for recreational use," the senators wrote to Sessions. "It is critical that states continue to implement these laws."

Eight states and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana for recreational use. Most of the senators who signed on to the letter hail from those states; Murkowski is the only Republican. The senators who signed the letter in addition to Warren and Murkowski are Democratic Sens. Patty Murray of Washington, Ron Wyden of Oregon, Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Maria Cantwell of Washington, Ed Markey of Massachusetts, Brian Schatz of Hawaii, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Cory Booker of New Jersey and Michael Bennet of Colorado.

"Do they really respect states' rights? Then you should respect all of them, not just pick and choose the ones that you want to support or not. Many states have gone not only the path of Nevada of recreational marijuana but medical marijuana. How can you pick or choose one or another?" Cortez Masto said in an interview.

Cortez Masto's GOP colleage, Sen. Dean Heller, separately disclosed that he discussed his state's marijuana policy with Sessions during the nomination process in a letter to Sessions. Heller also urged Sessions to keep current policy.

"While I maintain that, unlike medical marijuana, I have serious concerns on whether or not the benefits of recreational marijuana outweigh the drawbacks, I recognize and respect the will of Nevadans," Heller wrote on Wednesday.

But a Justice Department spokesman said senators should mellow out. "The department’s current policy is reflected in the 2013 Cole Memo," the DOJ spokesman said, referring to the Obama policy.

The concern, however, isn't just among senators from states that have legalized the drug. It's also an issue for conservatives who are worried about the GOP selectively allowing states' rights to supercede federal law.

"We’re concerned about some of the language that we’re hearing. And I think that conservatives who are for states' rights ought to believe in states' rights. I'm going to continue to advocate that the states should be left alone," Paul said.

Gardner, whose home state was a pioneer in legalizing the drug, was less alarmed by the statements coming from Sessions and Spicer.

“He was talking about if there’s cartels involved in illegal operations, they’re going to crack down on that. That’s what everybody’s saying. I still haven’t heard Jeff Sessions say that" there's a big policy change coming, Gardner said. "We obviously want to make sure we're clear on what they’ve said."

However, Sessions came awfully close earlier this week to suggest sweeping changes are coming, saying that the Obama-era policy is under review.

"I'm definitely not a fan of expanded use of marijuana," Sessions told reporters. "States they can pass the laws they choose. I would just say it does remain a violation of federal law to distribute marijuana throughout any place in the United States, whether a state legalizes it or not."

In an interview, Murkowski said she was not yet alarmed, but was monitoring the Justice Department closely.

"It's probably a little premature to try to predict what may or may not be coming out of the administration on this, so I think we just need to sit back and see," she said.

Not from what I've read. Sessions is making it sound like he is starting up the assault vehicles and ready to put them to use. In fact it sounds like he can't wait to bust down the doors of dispensaries with his DEA goon squad. That SOB is saying one thing to the Senators and another to us. Which is true? Are they going to crackdown or not. I hoping for not. We contact our elected leaders and we sign petitions. Making us nervous is not the way to do things because if we do get nervous we get activist and our activism got a lot of Senators to question Sessions. Now we are all questioning him. Who is the real Jeff Sessions? Is he going to raid the dispensaries? Time will tell. Stay tuned.

Sen. Rand Paul: ‘I Think Civil Asset Forfeiture Is a Terrible Idea Until You’ve Convicted Someone’

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” on Sunday that he thinks civil asset forfeiture – where police can seize, then keep or sell any property they suspect is involved in a crime regardless of whether or not the owner is arrested or even convicted - “is a terrible idea until you’ve convicted someone.”

“There was a discussion the other day in the White House about civil asset forfeiture. I think civil asset forfeiture is a terrible idea until you’ve convicted someone, and I’d like to have that discussion with the president,” Paul said.

Paul was asked how concerned he was that the Trump administration could expand surveillance powers given that Paul voted against the confirmation of Mike Pompeo to head the CIA, but voted for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to lead the Justice Department.

“How concerned are you that the Sessions Justice Department, the Pompeo CIA, the potential ODNI administration of Dan Coats are going to go back more towards the direction that you’ve been opposed for many years?” a reporter asked.

Paul said he was “very concerned, and while I do have some agreements with President Trump on less regulation, less taxes, replacing Obamacare, on surveillance we may not be – or on privacy – on the same wavelength. We’ll have to see.”

Paul said addressing the issue of civil asset forfeiture is important, because it unfairly targets poor people.

“I’ve had that discussion with Senator Sessions,” he said, referring to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was sworn in last week, “and I think some of the things we’ve done particularly to poor people—poor people in our country deal in cash more than wealthier people, and more than people who have their life better planned out who might deal with money in a different way.

“They have cash, and they walk around—doesn’t make them automatically guilty of a crime because they deal in cash, and so I think in order to take someone’s money from them, the government ought to prove that it was ill gotten,” Paul said, adding that the other side of that argument is “if someone’s caught with 50 kilos of some kind of drug and then there’s $50,000 in cash sitting there that somehow the people that are caught are going to get it back. That never happens.

“What we’re really, really talking about is people driving down the road, walking down the street…they just have their possessions taken from them without any kind of conviction,” he said.

“There’s a real danger, and there have been instances of up and down the country of little towns on the side of highways just pulling over everybody and just taking their money, almost like some sort of Robin Hood kind of scheme, so I do worry about that, and I will continue to stand up for what I feel is right no matter no matter whether it’s a Republican or Democrat in office,” Paul said.

I say we contact President Trump here and here and tell him about asset forfeiture abuse and that we want him to oppose it. The more of us he hears from the better.

Audit The Fed more promising than ever

From Campaign For Liberty:

Senator Rand Paul and Representative Thomas Massie have reintroduced the Audit the Fed bill (S. 16/H.R. 24)...

And now, we finally have a President who supports Audit the Fed!

We are only 6 votes away from defeating the Senate's filibuster, and there are 10 Senators who voted against Audit the Fed facing an electorate in 2018 who voted for Donald Trump...

All this means we have our best opportunity ever to finally pass Audit the Fed!

But we can take nothing for granted.

Federal Reserve apologists are on high alert and are already working overtime to make sure Audit the Fed does not reach President Trump's desk.

They know Audit the Fed would EXPOSE the Fed's corruption and cronyism.

So I've instructed my staff to double-down.

I've developed a multi-pronged plan to counterpunch the Fed's army of lobbyists and derail their scheme to scare and intimidate Representatives and Senators from cosponsoring Audit the Fed.

And I need your help to implement the first two parts of our plan:

FIRST >>> Campaign for Liberty must generate as many petitions from concerned grassroots Americans like you. Our goal is to bury Congress with a mountain of pro-Audit the Fed petitions by the time the first House and Senate hearings discussing Audit the Fed occur.

Those hearings could begin as early as mid-February, so please sign your to your Representative and Senators.

After you sign your petition, please share this alert with your family and friends, encouraging them to join you in taking action.

SECOND >>> You've been a long-time supporter of mine. And Audit the Fed has been the focus of Campaign for Liberty's efforts since I founded it in 2008.

You know the importance of contacting and mobilizing like-minded liberty lovers. But that costs time, money, and significant resources.

Resources, I'm afraid, Campaign for Liberty just doesn't have lying around.

Campaign for Liberty expended a lot of resources just to get where you and I are right now -- and it will take much more to reach millions of like-minded Americans to aid us in this fight.

So I'm asking you today to please make a generous donation of $10.

Your contribution, of whatever you can afford, will be put to immediate use where it's needed most.

Emails. Facebook. Google. TV, radio, and YouTube ads, if the funds can be stretched that far.

Every dollar we raise will help us flood every outlet to reach millions of Americans and fight back against Janet Yellen's Federal Reserve System.

I know you have already given a lot to this effort, but we have come so far and are so close to finally passing Audit the Fed...

It would be a shame if the banksters won because Campaign for Liberty lacked the resources to beat back their last, desperate attempt to protect Fed secrecy...

Can I count on you?

For Liberty,

Ron Paul
Chairman

P.S. Senator Rand Paul and Representative Thomas Massie have reintroduced Audit the Fed (S. 16/H.R. 24)...

With President-elect Trump on record in support of the bill, you and I have our best opportunity ever to pass Audit the Fed...

But since the Fed's defenders are poised to launch an all-out blitz to bury the bill, you and I cannot take anything for granted.

So please sign your "Pass Audit the Fed" petition to your Representative and Senators.

Liberals are out to get Rand Paul

From Rand Paul For Senate:

I am under attack. I have spent six years battling back the Democrats' unconstitutional power grabs, and now, they've declared open season on me.

Democrats and liberal special interest groups have amassed a sizeable war chest - millions of dollars - to run misleading, negative ads attacking me.

What's more, my wealthy opponent is using his personal fortune to bankroll his campaign.

I have devoted my time in the Senate to cutting taxes, cutting government, and cutting the debt. As a result, my deep pocketed opponent is spending millions to smear my pro-Liberty record.

Election Day is just 74 days away, which is why I am urgently asking for your help. Will you make a contribution today to help me fight the Democrats' unconstitutional agenda?

Unlike my opponent, I am not independently wealthy and cannot self-fund my campaign. There's no telling what Democrats have planned after the election, but my deep-pocketed opponent is the key to it all.

My unwavering pro-Liberty, pro-Constitution positions have blatantly disrupted liberal efforts to limit our freedoms, making me a direct threat to the Washington Establishment's agenda.

I cannot defeat my self-funded opponent and the Democratic Machine on my own, and without your help I fear this is a losing battle. Will you stand with me today by making a contribution of $25, $50, $100, or even $5?

In Liberty,
Rand Paul

P.S. I am running a grassroots campaign, and I cannot win without your support. A contribution of any amount will truly make a difference, and will help me continue the crusade against the Big Government liberals trying to limit our liberties. Will you please stand with me today?

Rainbow mafia targets Rand Paul

From Patriots For Economic Freedom:

Rand Paul could lose his U.S. Senate seat! Wealthy gay leftists are pouring millions of dollars into the Kentucky U.S. Senate race to smear Rand Paul. Rand Paul's opponent, Jim Gray, is a wealthy gay liberal activist with a history of supporting radical causes. It would be a disaster if Rand Paul was defeated!

Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising!

Jim Gray must be stopped! Jim Gray supports bainning private health insurance and outlawing guns. Also, Jim Gray supports giving amnesty for illegal aliens along with taxpayer funding to support their familes!

America needs Rand Paul in the U.S. Senate. Rand Paul works with Ted Cruz and Mike Lee to balance the budget, secure the borders, and defend the Second Amendment. Rand Paul only supports legislation that is authorized by the Constitution!

Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising!

Re-electing Rand Paul is crucial to maintaining a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate. If Rand Paul is defeated, it is likely that Democrats will take control of the Senate in 2016. That would be a disaster! If a Democrat takeover happens, amnesty will pass and spending will increase. Conservatives must do everything possible to stop a Democratic takeover. Will you help re-elect Rand Paul to the U.S. Senate? Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising!

Also, checks can be mailed to:

Perhaps the next time Rand Paul is with Mike Lee perhaps Paul can explain the Constitution to him. Particularly 14th Amendment that prohibits discrimination and guarantees equality before the law.

Obama administration declares war on its enemies

From Campaign For Liberty:

With the months ticking away in President Obama's final term in the Oval Office, the battle cry emerging from the White House right now is "DESTROY YOUR ENEMIES!"

Using every means at their disposal, the Obama administration is preparing to unleash a torrent of Big Government schemes.

Whether it's Campaign for Liberty's ongoing fight with the IRS, the fight over the U.S. Supreme Court -- or the rapidly approaching November elections -- the stakes couldn't be higher for our liberty movement.

But after a mid-year review of Campaign for Liberty's financial situation, I'm afraid I'm facing an enormous problem.

We can't put up much of a fight for the remainder of 2016.

Not without a serious and IMMEDIATE influx of funds. And even then, I am afraid serious choices must be made. But this is OUR Campaign for Liberty, not only mine.

That's why I've written a special Mid-Year Member Ballot for your review.

As Campaign for Liberty President Norm Singleton and I sketch out our final plans for the rest of 2016, I need you to please tell us where to focus.

But I have only until July 1st to make a final decision. So please act right away!

With so much on our plates it's a decision I don't want to make without hearing from you.

So please give me your opinion. It will only take a moment of your time.

And if you have already signed your ballot, please forward this to a family member or friend right now.

One of my very top concerns right now is the Supreme Court vacancy left with the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia.

While Justice Scalia sometimes failed the liberty movement on issues like privacy, he was an ally on many other core constitutional issues.

Not only that, but he stood as a bulwark against those who would use federal courts to reshape American society.

Now, with his passing, the statists can hardly contain their glee.

Should President Obama succeed in confirming his nominee, Merrick Garland, there could be no saving our remaining constitutional liberties:

*** The Fourth Amendment will be further eroded as government agents stick their nose into more aspects of your "private" life;

*** The Second Amendment could be "interpreted" out of existence;

*** First Amendment protections -- like those that ensure Campaign for Liberty can boldly speak out against BOTH parties' radical Big Government schemes -- could be all but DESTROYED;

*** New EPA regulations, handing government vast new tax and regulatory controls over individual citizens' private property, would be rubber-stamped.

In fact, the left-wing website Daily Kos brags, "We'd affect the fundamental direction of the Court not for a year or two but possibly for a generation."

So if you think STOPPING confirmation of any Justice who would tip the scales in the statists' favor should be Campaign for Liberty's top priority, please mark "OPTION #1: STOP PRESIDENT OBAMA'S SUPREME COURT TAKEOVER!" on your Mid-Year Member Ballot.

The second fight we are prioritizing this year is our ongoing fight with the IRS.

For more than two years now, I've fought the IRS's demands for the names, addresses, and other confidential personal information on select Campaign for Liberty contributors.

With the help of good folks like you, I've stood up to their attempts to cripple Campaign for Liberty with everything from legal threats to $10,000-a-day fines.

I did so for an important reason. They're UNCONSTITUTIONAL and they are flat-out wrong.

Forcing organizations like Campaign for Liberty to publicize donor information would have an incredibly chilling effect on political free speech.

Many liberty-loving Americans would silence themselves for fear of becoming targets of political retribution.

So when Campaign for Liberty's accountants and senior staff prepared our annual financial statements for submission to the IRS as required by law, I instructed our staff to REFUSE to comply with these unconstitutional IRS demands and leave off any identifying donor information.

As a 501(c)(4) organization, Campaign for Liberty contributor information is supposed to be confidential.

Now, after coming so close to passing Audit the Fed in the U.S. Senate -- and with our continued efforts to INCREASE Senate pressure by passing the bill through the House -- the situation with the IRS is getting more serious by the day.

Their goal is to wipe our liberty movement off the map as a political force this election year by draining us with expensive fines and sky-high court costs.

But not fighting back could allow President Obama's goons to go on a rampage against anyone they've identified as a political enemy.

So if you think standing up to the IRS's demands should be our number-one priority, please mark "OPTION #2: FIGHT BACK AGAINST THE IRS."

Our third big priority is, of course, Audit the Fed.

Please consider just how far we've come with Audit the Fed -- and how very close we are to finally EXPOSING the Federal Reserve's corruption and cronyism.

Name virtually anything you HATE about Washington, D.C. today -- from a government that's involved in every aspect of our lives, to boondoggles like ObamaCare, to never-ending military adventurism and you'll find the banksters at the Fed bankrolling it all.

When taxing and borrowing cash aren't enough to make ends meet, the Fed simply prints more money to pay the bills –– enabling a government that's bigger and more intrusive than Americans would ever accept if its cost weren't hidden through inflation.

The good news is, with the results of the presidential race, the establishment in Washington, D.C. is scared stiff.

They've seen the American people rising up against the status quo, and they're scared stiff for their political futures.

That's why, after falling only seven votes shy of passing Audit the Fed in the Senate this January, if you and I can possibly create another tidal wave of momentum, the result could be far different.

As I write you, Campaign for Liberty is working to force Audit the Fed back on the Senate's agenda by passing it through the U.S. House as we've done the last two Congresses.

If we succeed, we could be setting up a fall showdown over Audit the Fed in the Senate -- pushing this issue to the very forefront of the U.S. presidential race.

With nearly 75% of the American people in support of Audit the Fed, any senator who opposes Audit the Fed will do so at their own political peril.

With Donald Trump publicly pledging a Fed audit within the first 100 days of his presidency -- while Hillary Clinton remains silent on Audit the Fed while raking in campaign contributions from Federal Reserve employees, including a Fed Governor -- President Obama may sign Audit the Fed in order to protect Hillary's presidential campaign.

So if you think auditing the Federal Reserve should be Campaign for Liberty's top priority, please mark "OPTION #3: EXPOSE THE FEDERAL RESERVE!"

And finally, remember that 2016 is a critical election year as well (as if you could forget).

Frankly, the statists in BOTH parties in Washington, D.C. have had enough of our liberty movement.

After all, you and I have seen more than our share of successes.

Whether it's Audit the Fed, sounding the alarm over government spying, derailing the National Internet Sales Tax -- or blocking schemes to impose a National ID -- liberty movement allies are making their impact felt.

Not that long ago, I was the lone voice for constitutional government in Congress.

But today, with leaders like my son Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and U.S. Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI-3) and Thomas Massie (R-KY-4) charting the path forward, the liberty movement continues to grow.

The bad news is, BOTH parties are gunning for us.

So you and I are going to have to FIGHT back like never before if we want to build the numbers it will take to ultimately restore liberty in America.

That means pulling out all the stops to EXPOSE statists' Big Government records by using every tool at our disposal, including email, social media, U.S. mail, grassroots mobilization, and even Internet and TV ads (if I can raise the resources).

A plan this big is not going to be cheap.

But I can't imagine waving the white flag and allowing the Big Government forces we've fought so hard against to steamroll us!

So if you think preparing for November should be Campaign for Liberty's top priority, please mark "OPTION #4: EXPOSE THE STATISTS IN NOVEMBER!" on your Mid-Year Member Ballot.

As you'll see, there are no easy choices.

Our country is on the brink, and I'm afraid the only way to bring it back is to fight harder than we ever have.

That's why, as you'll see, I've included one more option on your Member Ballot.

If you think C4L should fight on all four of these fronts and more, please click "OPTION #5: FIGHT EVERYWHERE! DON'T GIVE AN INCH!"

But please recognize how serious this is.

Without a massive influx of funds, I simply won't be able to even run a full program on any one of these critical battles through the rest of the year -– let alone all of them!

Fighting the statists everywhere will mean I simply must count on you to go above and beyond what you've done in the past.

That's why I simply must hear from you right away.

So can I please count on your most generous contribution of $30 TODAY?

I know that's a lot. I know it's more than you've done in the past.

But if $30 is just too much, please rush me your most generous contribution of $20 or at least $10 IMMEDIATELY!

With so much on the line, this could not be more serious.

So please return your Mid-Year Member Ballot to me right away, and tell me how to proceed.

For Liberty,

Dr. Ron Paul
Chairman

P.S. As you'll see, I've enclosed a special Campaign for Liberty Member Ballot with this letter.

I have only a few weeks to nail down Campaign for Liberty's most crucial plans for the rest of 2016, but I can't do that without hearing from you first.

So please fill out your Mid-Year Member Ballot and return it to me right away along with your most generous contribution of $30 , $20 or at least $10 at once!

And if you have already signed your ballot, please forward this to a family member or friend right now.

Support Senator Rand Paul, our rights are on the line

From Rand Paul 2016:

With Rand in the Senate, liberty has a chance.

We've seen it.

Since 2010, he's galvanized the country for civil liberties and against the Obama administration's lawless use of drones.

He's stood strong time and time again against taxpayer handouts to foreign governments.

He stopped President Obama's mad rush to gun control in 2013.

He's fought tirelessly against BOTH parties' out of control spending habits.

He's stood strong against the NSA spying programs.

And forced the U.S. Senate to vote on Audit the Fed and legislation defunding Planned Parenthood.

Rand has fought at every turn to preserve our freedoms and defeat the Washington machine.

I know, especially in these times, we can trust Rand Paul to continue to be the voice for the Constitution in the Senate.

And that puts a target on his back.

Liberal elites and the Washington establishment are working hard to make sure there's no opposition to their big tax-and-spend plans in 2017.

That's why it's so important we meet our $200,000 goal on this End of Quarter Moneybomb.

We know they're ready to come after Rand with everything they've got.

We need to be able to fire back.

We can defeat the Washington machine together.

So please, if at all possible, agree to your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or even $10 right away.

Let's make sure Rand gets back to Washington to restore liberty and the Constitution in America in the next term.

From Huffington Post:

Gay Democratic Mayor Jumps In Senate Race Against Rand Paul

Jim Gray wants to restore the American dream for Kentucky families, but he knows it’ll be an uphill battle.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be facing a challenge from a prominent Kentucky Democrat come the election in November.
Lexington Mayor Jim Gray, 62, said Tuesday that he believes he has a shot at defeating the Republican incumbent despite that state’s widespread disapproval of President Barack Obama.

“I feel like that there’s an environment in Washington that’s toxic, and people across the country, and including Kentucky, are looking for alternatives,” Gray told the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The second-term mayor, who is gay, said he believes Paul is vulnerable because he is simultaneously running for president. Gray said he decided last week he would challenge the senator, and that he doesn’t believe voters will take issue with his sexual orientation.

Rand Paul is one of the strongest conservatives in the Senate. He is not part of the status quo and he cannot be controlled by lobbyists. Unlike most of Washington, he ran for office as a political outside with a successful career in Medicine. Rand Paul is dedicated to restoring liberty in America and solving the debt crisis!

Kentucky, the Constitution and heterosexual values are on the line here. If Jim Gray wins the rainbow mafia wins and the people and the Constitution lose. Socialism will replace Libertarianism, tyranny will replace freedom and left wing special interests will rule Frankfort and the rest of the country. Jim Gray will be a Kentuckian form of Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Does that sound great? If you said yes you are a lost cause. OTOH if you said hell no then reelect Rand Paul, preserve the Constitution and the values we hold dear. Who do you want in the Senate? Hillary's best friend,Jim Gray or Hillary's worst nightmare,Rand Paul? It's up to you.

Rand Paul addresses Ted Cruz's inconsistancies

From Rand 2016:

One thing I think is clear: we can't afford to hang our hopes for the next election on reality show entertainers.

Or with a group of neocons.

We need a true champion of liberty and conservative causes.

That's why I am running and asking for your help today.

It's also why I am determined that people see the truth about my opponents.

One of them, Ted Cruz, has worked with me on some issues, but has some troubling tendencies that need to be discussed.

Ted Cruz tries to have it both ways and has flip flopped on number of serious issues. My latest ad addresses these inconsistencies.

Ted Cruz was against the patriot act when he ran, but voted to reauthorize it in 2015.

WHAT?

He was also for Obamatrade before he was against it.

Not a good idea.

He was also all for allowing illegal immigrants to stay in 2013, but now he is vying for the bus driver position on Donald Trump's deportation express.

You get the idea.

My thing is - if you ask people to trust you, well, you should be honest with them.

I think Ted is playing games and politics. And this is serious business.

We should know where people stand.

Please watch the video.

Stand with me today.

Where in the world is Marco Rubio?

From Rand 2016:

If the American people can't trust Senator Marco Rubio to keep his promises and do the job he was elected to do, how in the world can we trust him to be president?

Yesterday, as I heard Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid gloating after passage of $1.1 TRILLION omnibus spending bill that he bragged "capped off a successful year for Senate Democrats," I couldn't help but wonder, where all of my Republican colleagues who told the American people they would fight President Obama's agenda?

One Senator, Marco Rubio, couldn't even be bothered to show up . . . again.

My campaign just cut a brand-new ad highlighting Senator Rubio's chronic absenteeism, which I hope you'll take a moment to watch.

If Senator Rubio is too busy running for President to stand with conservatives and fight President Obama's radicalism, he should stop ripping off taxpayers. Period.

At least then, patriots like you and me would have an opportunity to have a true conservative standing beside us in the Senate instead of a Senator who puts his own personal ambitions ahead of doing the job he promised voters to do.

If you agree, I hope you'll please agree to your most generous contribution to help me run this ad far and wide.

Whatever you can do -- whether it's $50, $25 or even $10 -- will help my campaign run this ad far and wide.
