This hurts
Ted Cruz is running for President. I would love that to be but unfortunately it cannot be. Why? Because Ted Cruz was born in Canada. According to the United States Constitution:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

It's with a heavy heart that I type this. I would have loved a Cruz Presidency. If he were born on vacation in Minnisota there would be no problem but as it stands there is just no way. The only thing he can do is step aside. Rand Paul and Mike Lee,both native born Americans can take up the pro-liberty banner that Cruz was carrying. Like I said I type this with a heavy heart and a lot of disappointment but I'm confident that Paul and/or Lee are up for the task.

If Republicans had listened to Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), they could have won this fight and stopped Obamacare. Instead, Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sabotaged the effort and now Americans are paying the price.
That's the bad news, but here's the good news: It's not too late for Republicans to do the right thing.
Obamacare funding expires January 15 and Republicans should not renew it. If Democrats cause another government shutdown to protect this terrible law, Republicans should hold firm and use the showdown to push for full repeal.

They won't make a difference to the 90 plus million with employer provided health care. The only way to stop the problems is to admit the idea was fundamentally flawed to begin with. We've got to start over."

The best thing for Republicans to do now is to tell Americans the truth and demand full repeal of the law.
Unfortunately, too many Republicans are defeatists and will accept whatever changes the Democrats propose even if it doesn't solve the problem.
If Republicans aren't careful, they will do exactly what President Obama did and make promises that will be broken.
REPEAL IT OR GO HOME

Politcal rant
Do you know why the Republicans always cave into Obama's demands? It is because they are terrified of being labeled "racists". Don't believe me ask Rush Limbaugh. The Democrats on the other hand have no problem crucifying black people. Look at what they did to Clarence Thomas and Herman Caine. In fact David Axelrod used a white female that was one of his neighbors to accuse Caine of sexual impropriety. Just like they did to Thomas only Thomas' accuser,Anita Hill,was black. The Democrats,the Dixie party,has no problems lynching conservative blacks,only this time they do it in print. Democrats want people to think they are the "tolerant" party when in fact they are just the opposite. Look at the average white liberal: they live in all white areas with black servants that help get their children ready for private school so they have no problem turning public schools into combat zones where the teacher's tenure is more important that the education that students may or may not be receiving. The student's test scores take second or third place whereas the demands of the teacher's union takes proiority. I love the expose' John Stossell,one of my favorites at Foxnews,did concerning education in America. The unions are just one part of the problem. Feminist and minority groups are another,not to mention the propaganda that passes for "journalism" these days. I believe it was Rush Limbaugh that called liberals "mind numb robots" and a lot of people may believe that is an exaggeration but it's not,it is an accurate description. Have you seen them try to defend Obamacare on Hannity? They never deviate from the party line. Everytime I hear them spout the party line it pisses me off. Not only that but Obama is exempt from his own health plan,along with major corporations such as McDonald's. How's that for fucking bullshit. The lamestream media and the sheeple that take what they say and print at face value are influencial in deciding public opinion and they do vote,sometimes more than once i.e. ACORN. In fact voter fraud is what gets Democrats elected over and over again. It sure isn't their ideas which come straight out of the socialist handbook. However if you are a product of modern edcuation (illiterate) then they have you tune into MSNBC or any other leftwing media. The only exception is Fox,thank god for Foxnews. The anti-white attitude of the Democratic party is costing them white members and white votes but they can't figure out why. Then again the cowardice of the Republican party is going to cause a shift change there. Thank you Ted Cruz,Mike Lee and most of all Rand Paul for taking the Republican party in a new direction. A direction that John Boehner,Mitch McConnell and John McCain may not want to go but it's going to happen. The mask has been ripped off Harry Reid so now everyone knows the monster that he truly is. Not only that but the CNN female reporter who asked Reid that question parroted the party line when she was on CNN after that press conference. That's because her superiors probably had a backroom "discussion" with her not to question Democrats or other liberals or hold them accountable in any way. Obamacare is so bad that the former Obama press secretary,Robert Gibbs,denounced it. How's this for poetic justice. Do you know who got nailed with an high Obamacare premium? Some clown at the Daily Kos. I understand he is no longer touting the benefits of Obamacare,especially when he got hit with the liabilities of Obamacare. The funny thing is that when liberals think they won't get penalized and when they do it is a laugh riot. The Senate wants to give the Department of Justice the authority to decide who gets First Amendment protection
Senate Amendment Would Give DOJ Power to Determine Who Is a 'Journalist'

An amendment is moving through the Senate Judiciary Committee that would essentially allow the government to determine who is a journalist for purposes of legal protection of sources. For purposes of protecting a source, a “journalist” under law would be anyone who:
•Works or worked for “an entity or service that disseminates news or information by means of newspaper; nonfiction book; wire service; news agency; news website, mobile application or other news or information service…news program; magazine or other periodical…or through television or radio broadcast…” These people would have to have the “primary intent to investigate events and procure material in order to disseminate to the public news or information.” Opinion journalists might not be covered.
•Bloggers and citizen journalists – citizens who commit acts of journalists without working for such an outlet – would not be covered, unless it was determined that “at the inception of the process of gathering the news or information sought, had the primary intent to investigate issues or events and procure material in order to disseminate to the public news or information.” In other words, the government – the Department of Justice – would now determine whether primary intent was news distribution or political concerns.
•Those explicitly excluded from protection include those “whose principal function, as demonstrated by the totality of such person or entity’s work, is to publish primary source documents that have been disclosed to such person or entity without authorization.” Glenn Greenwald, please contact your lawyer.
Who would decide who fell within these guidelines? A “judge of the United States” can “exercise discretion to avail the persons of the protections of this Act.” But in the first instance, the DOJ would have the discretion to determine whether a person is a “journalist” for purposes of the law. Instead of focusing on acts of journalism, the law would identify people by employment status.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) said that it should not matter to citizen journalists if new protections extended to a special class of journalists created by the government, since the First Amendment does not grant any right to protect sources in the first place. “When we’re discussing the issue of adding a privilege, the issue of taking away someone’s First Amendment rights just isn’t engaged….All we’re doing is adding privilege to existing First Amendment rights, so there is, logically, zero First Amendment threat out of this,” said Whitehouse, ignoring the fact that a massive institutional advantage would be handed to approved government outlets, thereby perverting the entire system of a free press.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) launched into the proposed bill, which he said could “have the effect of excluding certain persons from enjoying the added First Amendment protections the bill would provide.” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) agreed, stating, “Essentially as I understand this amendment, it protects what I would characterize as the ‘corporate media.’…But it leaves out citizen bloggers….I don’t think any protection should treat citizen bloggers who are meeting the underlying test of being primarily engaged in gathering news to report it I don’t think they should be excluded because they don’t happen to work for a media corporation.” He continued:
It strikes me that we are on dangerous territory if we are drawing distinctions that are treating some engaged in the process of reporting and journalism better than others. If we are advantaging those who happen to receive a paycheck from a corporate media entity over those who happen to be citizens….I for one would have deep troubles with legislation from Congress saying ‘we will grant special privileges if you happen to work for a corporate media interest’….It seems to me the First Amendment protects the activity, not the employment status of the person engaging in it.

This is very important. It means that those who are politically correct will be protected while those of us who believe in civil liberties won't be. Biden claims Al Gore won in 2000;admires Gore for nothing
Vice President Joe Biden knows how to work a room.
In remarks made on Tuesday night at a fundraiser for Massachusetts Senate candidate Ed Markey in front of an audience of donating (doting?) Democrats, Biden went for the jugular.
In a reference to Al Gore, who introduced Biden at the Washington, D.C., event, Biden said, "This man was elected president of the United States of America," according to the pool report.
"But for the good of the nation, when the bad decision, in my view, was made, he did the right thing for the nation," Biden continued.
The Supreme Court decided the 2000 presidential election in favor of George W. Bush, a decision accepted by former Vice President Gore. But the election left a deep wound in the Democratic Party, one that Biden was happy to pour salt in Tuesday as he sought to drum up cash as well as energy for Markey.
"I’ve served longer than all but 13 members of the United States Senate. I can’t think of very many who would put his country first like that at a really, really, really difficult time. There’s an awful lot of folks Al and I both know who have run for president and still haven’t gotten over it," Biden said.
“Al, you set an example for this country that is going to live as long as recorded history, about the man who won by a decision that I think constitutional scholars now and in the future will conclude was an ill-fated decision,” Biden said. “The way you stepped up, it was amazing.”
Democrats are eager to elect Markey later this month to succeed John Kerry, who was appointed secretary of state, and avoid a repeat of 2010. That year, Republican Scott Brown won the Massachusetts Senate special election, embarrassing Democrats with a stunning upset in the traditionally Democratic-leaning state.
Biden played on those feelings on Tuesday night by attacking well-known outspoken freshman Republicans in the senate—the ones that really get Democrats' hackles up.
“It’s a pretty simple proposition: The United States of America, and the state of Massachusetts, does not need another Republican in the Senate,” Biden said, also according to the pool report. “I’m being straight about this. This is not your father’s Republican Party. It really is a fundamentally different party. There’s never been as much distance, at least since I’ve been alive, distance between where the mainstream of the Republican congressional party is and the Democratic Party is. It’s a chasm. It’s a gigantic chasm.
“I’m not talking about the character or even the quality of the minds of the people I’m going to mention. But the last thing in the world we need now is someone who will go down to the United States Senate and support [Texas freshman Sen.] Ted Cruz, support the new senator from Kentucky—or the old senator from Kentucky," Biden said, referring to freshman Sen. Rand Paul and veteran Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
“Think about this,” he said. “Have you ever seen a time when two freshman senators are able to cower the bulk of the Republican Party in the Senate? That is not hyperbole.”

I think I just ejaculated. It is pure bliss knowing Biden hates us,that this accursed administration hates us. I understand his hatred of Senator Rand Paul considering Senator Paul's lawsuit may end up with criminal charges being filed that may land Biden's ass in prison. If that happens I hope a lot of guys who were fucked over by VAWA have a "discussion" with Biden on their stance on the issue. The only way We The People will see any justice is if these three men (there may be more libertarians elected in 2014 thus increasing the numbers)keep up the pressure on the rats that subverted and perverted the Constitution. The gun grabbers won the first battle in the war over our gun rights earlier today by voting 68-31 to defeat Rand Paul's filibuster of Harry Reid's motion to bring gun control to the floor.
Sixteen Republicans voted wrong, and two Democrats voted right.
Here are the 16 Republican Senators who chose to stand with Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Barbara Boxer, and Dianne Feinstein instead of Rand Paul:
Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Richard Burr (R-NC), Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Tom Coburn (R-OK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Bob Corker (R-TN), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Dean Heller (R-NV), John Hoeven (R-ND), Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Mark Kirk (R-IL), John McCain (R-AZ), Pat Toomey (R-PA), and Roger Wicker (R-MS).
The two Democrats who voted right were Mark Begich (D-AK) and Mark Pryor (D-AR).
I've spoken to a few of my sources on Capitol Hill today.
I know we've been jokingly asking for weeks if Harry Reid is really the Speaker of the House, since he seems to drive the agenda . . .
As you know, House Speaker John Boehner has already passed three bills through the House by using Democrat majority votes.
That used to be considered a big "NO-NO" - even by weak-kneed Republican Speakers.
And Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor haven't said it won't happen again, which means that anything Harry Reid gets through the Senate will more than likely be gaveled through the House, as well.
So we need to really focus on the Senate over the next few days and try to defeat this monster there. If we can convince 9 of those 16 Republicans to switch, we can prevail.

The ball is in Harry Reid's court, so there's no way to know for sure exactly what his next move will be.
But I got a good hint at what he will do from my inside sources.
It looks like Harry Reid is going to offer three dangerous, anti-gun Amendments to S. 649.
The three Amendments I've heard about so far include:
Toomey-Schumer Gun Control Bill
Republican Senator Pat "Benedict" Toomey (R-PA) teamed up with Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and introduced a so-called "compromise" gun control bill.
But the reality is that this bill is even more dangerous than Dianne Feinstein's so-called "Assault Weapons Ban."
I've heard that Toomey's bill was actually written by Chuck Schumer himself.
Senator Toomey's bill would ban virtually all private gun sales, restrict the Second Amendment freedoms of travelers, strip folks who seek mental health of their gun rights, undermine state sovereignty, and set the stage for full-scale national gun registration.
The bill is so bad it's even supported by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's "Mayors Against Illegal Guns."
The Feinstein Gun Ban
This legislation, which would target rifles, shotguns, and even handguns, is also far from dead.
President Obama and Harry Reid are determined to push the envelope. With Republicans already demonstrating their willingness to roll over, I would prepare for the worst.
"High-Capacity" Magazine Restrictions
This Amendment would ban magazines that hold over a certain number of bullets.
Those are the three anti-gun Amendments I'm hearing about so far.
Grassroots Mobilization Effort to Defeat Gun Control
The good news is, even though we lost the first battle earlier today, the war is not over.
Senators Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee are going to drag out the debate as long as possible, and they have also vowed to filibuster Reid's vote on final passage of the bill.
This gives us more time to turn the heat up on the Senate.
Again, if Campaign for Liberty members and supporters can generate enough pressure to convince 9 of the 16 Senators who voted wrong today to Stand With Rand on final passage, we have a shot at stopping this monster in the Senate.
I understand things are tight right now with all the fights we're currently facing.
But I recommend C4L spend every penny it can afford to mobilize as many folks as possible to turn up the heat on their Senators to Stand With Rand.
Flood the Senate with tens of thousands of "Stand With Rand" Petitions" and phone calls in opposition to Harry Reid's gun control scheme.
If enough folks make their voices heard, we can defeat Barack Obama's gun control agenda.
It's critically important that Campaign for Liberty members and supporters turn up the heat on the 16 Republican Senators who voted against Rand's filibuster and any Democrat who has to face their constituents soon, while urging the two Democrats who voted right to stay the course.
The vital point to remember is that this is only round one. There's a strong temptation to throw in the towel in disgust at the 16's sellout today, but this is precisely when we need to double down.
If they think the pressure is off because one cloture vote is finished, then they really don't know anything about us.

It's critically important that Campaign for Liberty members and supporters turn up the heat on the 16 Republican Senators who voted against Rand's filibuster and any Democrat who has to face their constituents soon, while urging the two Democrats who voted right to stay the course.
The vital point to remember is that this is only round one. There's a strong temptation to throw in the towel in disgust at the 16's sellout today, but this is precisely when we need to double down.
If they think the pressure is off because one cloture vote is finished, then they really don't know anything about us.
So let's remind them.
