Tell Obama to pardon Edward Snowden

From Demand Progress:

As the movie launching this week reminds us, Edward Snowden’s whistleblowing revealed the NSA’s massive, secret – and unconstitutional – surveillance programs.

He took a huge personal risk to bring these programs to light. And his actions launched a vital national debate on whether the NSA should be spying on innocent Americans.

But three years later, Snowden is still being forced to live in exile and threatened with likely spending the rest of his life in prison if he ever comes back to the country he loves.

We have less than 125 days to push President Obama to officially pardon this important American whistleblower.

Tell President Obama: Pardon Edward Snowden now!

Presidential pardons are about justice. They are for when the legal system has failed, or the laws are unjust or when our consciences demand it.

Snowden made his sacrifice not for personal gain, but because he knew it was the only real way to expose the unconstitutional spying programs he witnessed.

So when the White House tries to claim Snowden “is not a whistleblower”1 because he didn’t follow the "proper" whistleblower process, they’re just playing cynical word games.

Intelligence contractors, like Edward Snowden, are NOT protected by the Intelligence Community’s whistleblower protections. The Intelligence Community’s own lawyer, even admits it.2

Even had Edward Snowden followed the “proper” process, his whistleblowing wouldn’t have been protected.

Presidential pardons exist for exactly this kind of extraordinary situation. It’s time that President Obama uses that power to recognize Snowden’s public service.

Sign and share the petition to President Obama: Pardon Edward Snowden now and let him come home!

Snowden acted out of desperation and patriotism to inform Americans of the unconstitutional mass surveillance the NSA was conducting.

Even former Attorney General Eric Holder agrees: “I think that he actually performed a public service by raising the debate that we engaged in and by the changes that we made.”3

Snowden stood up for our rights. Now it’s time we stand up for his.

Stand up for Edward Snowden and tell President Obama: Three years is enough. Pardon Snowden and bring him home!

Tell the Supreme Court to uphold state's rights

I have an important update from the frontlines of the battle to defend Real Marriage.

The Supreme Court announced last Friday they will hear an appeal of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that upheld the rights of Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio to define marriage.

Arguments are expected to be heard and a ruling announced by the end of the court's session in June.

There's no way to sugarcoat this.

If the Supreme Court overturns the 6th Circuit's ruling, "homosexual marriage" will be the law of the land in all 50 states.

It's going to be an uphill battle.

And I'm counting on your support for Public Advocate as I spearhead our efforts to restore Real Marriage in America.

The 9 justices who will be hearing this case are the very same justices who twice before undermined the legal foundation of Real Marriage, starting with the June, 2013 ruling that gutted the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).

Pro-Family Americans are also fighting against the likes of Attorney General Eric Holder, who has announced he will file an amicus brief advocating for the 6th Circuit's ruling to be overturned.

But there is a reason for hope.

If the Supreme Court upholds the 6th Circuit's ruling, the 33 states that have been forced to comply with the Homosexual Lobby's redefinition of marriage by judicial fiat will have legal grounds to restore their laws defending Real Marriage.

To say this is a watershed moment wouldn't do it justice.

That's why my staff and I are already working on Public Advocate's own amicus brief to file with the Supreme Court to halt the redefinition of marriage by judicial fiat.

But Public Advocate's efforts don't stop there.

I'm counting on your support to pass the State Marriage Defense Act so pro-Family Americans can take charge in this fight on every front.

As always, I'll keep you updated on this important court battle.

And I'm counting on your quick response when I must mobilize Public Advocate's nationwide grassroots army.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.

P.S. If you haven't become a citizen cosponsor of the State Marriage Defense Act, please click here to sign your pledge right away.

And once you've signed, please chip in $10 or $20 to help defray the legal costs and staff expenses of filing our Supreme Court amicus brief and fighting the radical Homosexual Lobby.

Make Congress hold Eric Holder accountable

From Public Advocate:

We did it!

After months of Public Advocate's hard-hitting grassroots efforts, rogue U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Thursday he will be resigning from his post by the end of the year.

This is something your Public Advocate has been working very hard to see come about.

Over the past three years, Public Advocate has gone head-to-head with the Attorney General countless times.

We launched a petition against his solicitor general when the Department of Justice (DOJ) refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act before the Supreme Court.

With Holder’s public blessing, the DOJ actually opposed U.S. Law passed by Congress!

Since that ruling, 19 states have seen their Real Marriage protections attacked and struck down in federal or state courts.

We also forced the FBI -- under Holder's watch -- to publicly cut ties with the dangerous Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

Our scathing subpoena against the SPLC threatened to expose details about their relationship with the Department of Justice.

It’s known that the DOJ hosted links to the SPLC on the government agency’s homepage and hired SPLC founder Morris Dees to train their attorneys...

...Even after baseless classification of Public Advocate as a "hate group" nearly got me killed.

But Public Advocate’s media and legal activities tarnished the image of the SPLC so much Holder couldn't risk any more blowback.

And most recently, we challenged Eric Holder's pattern of lawlessness by launching our national petition drive to impeach him as U.S. Attorney General!

Over the last six months, we collected and delivered nearly 25,000 petitions to Congress calling for Holder’s impeachment.

And we joined the National March for Marriage in D.C. where we spread the word of Holder's lawless war on Real Marriage and the Family.

Through email and the internet, we’ve reached millions of Americans with our call for his impeachment and the details of his misdeeds.

In just the last few weeks, we generated thousands of phone calls against Holder’s ally, Mark Herring -- Virginia’s Attorney General -- who is following Holder’s example.

Public Advocate's unrelenting demonstrations, videos, social network outreach and our petitions delivered to key members of Congress pushed Holder to his breaking point.

All this has lead to Holder's announcement of his resignation as soon as President Obama appoints a replacement!

But resigning his position does not absolve Holder of his crimes against the Constitution and Traditional Values.

He can run, but he can't hide from the pro-Family backlash.

The House of Representatives has promised to continue their contempt proceedings against Holder for his role in the "Fast and Furious" gun-running scandal.

And I will continue to push Congress to hold him accountable for his illegal undermining of the Defense of Marriage Act and state-level Real Marriage laws.

So if you haven't yet, please click here to sign your petition urging Congress to impeach Holder and destroy his anti-Marriage, anti-Family legal precedents.

Thank you so much for all your hard work towards making this possible.

Holder has been a staunch ally and advocate of the Homosexual Lobby since taking office, and losing him right before the 2014 elections is a hard blow to their agenda.

But Obama will certainly try to replace Holder with someone just as radical.

In fact, radical Leftist agitator and MSNBC commentator Rev. Al Sharpton has announced he will advise President Obama on the search for Holder's replacement.

That's why we will need all the support in the Senate we can get.

Conservative Senator Ted Cruz already expects this to be a very tough fight, riddled with dirty tactics from Obama's allies.

Public Advocate has been working all year to secure Pro-Family pledges from U.S. Senate candidates.

And this work will pay off as you and I gear up for the looming fight over Holder's replacement.

So while you and I should rejoice in this victory, we must always be ready for the next battle.

I know you will help me when the time comes.

Until then, thank you so much for your dedication and sacrifice.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.

P.S. After months of Public Advocate's hard-hitting grassroots efforts, rogue U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Thursday he will be resigning from his post.

What we have seen from the Holder DOJ is the most corrupt department of the federal government ever. Corruption like this has not been seen for over 50 years. The last corrupt DOJ was under the watch of John N. Mitchell during the Richard Nixon presidency. Perhaps Holder is worse because Holder used not only racist tactics but used his race to attack critics and to shield him from scunity. His allowing New Black Party Members to intimidate white voters in Philidelphia in 2008 is a sure sign of his hostility toward those who are caucasian. On the other hand Holder wasted no time in getting involved in the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson,Missouri. Holder made accusations even before all the facts were in yet in the Philidelphia voter intimidation case he is presented with the fact fully investigated and does nothing. The reign of terror by Holder may be weakening but hopefully the long years of holding him accountable and finding him guilty of crimes against the American people destroy his chances for public office.

Tell Congress to impeach Eric Holder

From Public Advocate:

You probably know that last summer, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) before the Supreme Court.

When the Court issued a ruling that gutted the law, it opened the floodgates for activist judges to overturn Real Marriage laws.

Attorney General Holder's inaction was a political payoff to buy the Homosexual Lobby's support for struggling Democrats in this November's Congressional midterm elections.

Most Americans today are aware of the rash of activist judges overturning Real Marriage laws in one state after another.

But do they think Eric Holder should be able to pick and choose which laws he enforces for partisan political gains?

Public Advocate took to the streets to find out. Click here to watch the video of Public Advocate's "man on the street" survey.

After you've watched the video, please sign your petition to impeach Attorney General Holder for his dereliction of duty.

Public Advocate already collected and delivered over 20,000 petitions to the House of Representatives, so add your voice to the growing number of Americans demanding his removal from office.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.

P.S. Will you chip in $5 or $10 to help Public Advocate hold Eric Holder accountable for violating his oath of office and betraying Real Marriage?

Impeach Eric Holder

From Public Advocate:

The Homosexual Lobby has organized one publicity stunt after another in our nation's capital this month.

They recruited the U.S. Color Guard to march for the first time in the D.C. homosexual “pride” parade last weekend.

A homosexual activist, the principal at a Washington area public school, promoted his homosexual lifestyle in front of young children and waved the "rainbow" flag in front of screaming pro-homosexual demonstrators during school hours.

And then the National Cathedral announced they will be hosting their first ever “transsexual priest” before the month is over.

But your Public Advocate is not backing down.

Public Advocate will be attending the Rally for the National March for Marriage on Thursday, June 19th.

This Rally on the Capitol steps will show our politicians that real marriage still matters.

If you are already planning on attending the National March for Marriage, or if you live within driving distance and decide to come, please let us know.

Email my staff at publicadvocateusaorg@gmail.com and they will give you all the details on when and how to get there.

While there, Public Advocate staff and volunteers will be collecting signatures for our Petition to Impeach U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

This Impeach Holder Citizens Petition campaign kicked off at the Roanoke, Virginia Civic Center and was a smashing success which must continue!

Our volunteers kicked off the first day of collecting signatures and we are still going.

There is something electric and genuinely American grassroots about publicly collecting thousands of signatures.

Over 2,000 Americans wore our "Impeach Eric Holder" lapel badge.

The national effort to Impeach Eric Holder as U.S. Attorney General is really picking up speed.

Americans are fed up with his lawlessness.

And our petition clearly communicates to your Congressman that we demand action.

If you haven’t yet, you can sign your petition to impeach by clicking right here.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.

P.S. Will you chip in $5 or $10 to help fund Public Advocate's critical grassroots programs on behalf of real marriage and religious liberties?

Impeach Eric Holder

From Public Advocate:

I wanted to give you an exciting update on Public Advocate's efforts to impeach Attorney General Eric Holder for his bully tactics and subversion of traditional marriage laws.

One of the Senate's few pro-Family heroes has added his voice to our cause.

Speaking on the Sean Hannity radio program late last week, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Holder should be impeached for his blatant abuse of power and corruption.

You can listen to the audio segment by clicking here.

Since your Public Advocate first launched our efforts urging Congress to impeach Attorney General Eric Holder, over 20,000 pro-Family Americans have signed our petition.

If you haven't signed your petition to impeach Attorney General Holder yet, please click here right away.

And once you've signed, please consider chipping in $10 or $20 to help Public Advocate take the next steps forward in our drive to impeach President Obama's corrupt Attorney General.

Congress demands answers from Attorney General Eric Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder is at it again.

I don't know if you've seen his latest antics, but it's yet another instance of outrageous conduct unbecoming of his office.

Attorney General Holder has already proven his disregard for our nation's laws restricting his authority.

And now he has shown the same contempt for the men and women we elect to represent us in Congress.

If you haven't signed Public Advocate's petition demanding Congress impeach Attorney General Holder, please CLICK HERE to sign today.

And once you've signed, I hope you'll chip in $5 or $10 to help Public Advocate hold Eric Holder accountable for his blatant disregard for the rule of law and radical advocacy of the Homosexual Agenda.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO

The Senate wants to give the Department of Justice the authority to decide who gets First Amendment protection

Senate Amendment Would Give DOJ Power to Determine Who Is a 'Journalist'

by Ben Shapiro 13 Sep 2013 1017

An amendment is moving through the Senate Judiciary Committee that would essentially allow the government to determine who is a journalist for purposes of legal protection of sources. For purposes of protecting a source, a “journalist” under law would be anyone who:

•Works or worked for “an entity or service that disseminates news or information by means of newspaper; nonfiction book; wire service; news agency; news website, mobile application or other news or information service…news program; magazine or other periodical…or through television or radio broadcast…” These people would have to have the “primary intent to investigate events and procure material in order to disseminate to the public news or information.” Opinion journalists might not be covered.

•Bloggers and citizen journalists – citizens who commit acts of journalists without working for such an outlet – would not be covered, unless it was determined that “at the inception of the process of gathering the news or information sought, had the primary intent to investigate issues or events and procure material in order to disseminate to the public news or information.” In other words, the government – the Department of Justice – would now determine whether primary intent was news distribution or political concerns.

•Those explicitly excluded from protection include those “whose principal function, as demonstrated by the totality of such person or entity’s work, is to publish primary source documents that have been disclosed to such person or entity without authorization.” Glenn Greenwald, please contact your lawyer.

Who would decide who fell within these guidelines? A “judge of the United States” can “exercise discretion to avail the persons of the protections of this Act.” But in the first instance, the DOJ would have the discretion to determine whether a person is a “journalist” for purposes of the law. Instead of focusing on acts of journalism, the law would identify people by employment status.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) said that it should not matter to citizen journalists if new protections extended to a special class of journalists created by the government, since the First Amendment does not grant any right to protect sources in the first place. “When we’re discussing the issue of adding a privilege, the issue of taking away someone’s First Amendment rights just isn’t engaged….All we’re doing is adding privilege to existing First Amendment rights, so there is, logically, zero First Amendment threat out of this,” said Whitehouse, ignoring the fact that a massive institutional advantage would be handed to approved government outlets, thereby perverting the entire system of a free press.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) launched into the proposed bill, which he said could “have the effect of excluding certain persons from enjoying the added First Amendment protections the bill would provide.” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) agreed, stating, “Essentially as I understand this amendment, it protects what I would characterize as the ‘corporate media.’…But it leaves out citizen bloggers….I don’t think any protection should treat citizen bloggers who are meeting the underlying test of being primarily engaged in gathering news to report it I don’t think they should be excluded because they don’t happen to work for a media corporation.” He continued:

It strikes me that we are on dangerous territory if we are drawing distinctions that are treating some engaged in the process of reporting and journalism better than others. If we are advantaging those who happen to receive a paycheck from a corporate media entity over those who happen to be citizens….I for one would have deep troubles with legislation from Congress saying ‘we will grant special privileges if you happen to work for a corporate media interest’….It seems to me the First Amendment protects the activity, not the employment status of the person engaging in it.

Source:click here

This is very important. It means that those who are politically correct will be protected while those of us who believe in civil liberties won't be. Look for assclowns like Dave Futrelle and Hugo Schwyzer being given "journalist" protections while those of us in the manosphere will receive no protections. Do you want some judge to decide? We've all seen how the corrupt the judiary is. It has been documented on the Men's Rights Blog so we know it exists. One liberal judge could destroy everyones' rights. Not only that do you want Eric Holder to decide for you? Remember this is the same Eric Holder who covered up black on white hate crimes:here and here. The is the same Eric Holder who perjured himself in the House concerning fast and furious. Do you want to give more power to Eric Holder? I sure don't.

As far as the bill's supporters perhaps we should email them and let them know we are not fond of this bill and to leave the Constitution alone, this bill is an infringement upon the First Amendment:

Senator Dianne Feinstein contact form

Senator Dick Durbin contact form

Senator Chuck Schumer contact form

Then there are the good guys. We should thank them for standing up for not only the First Amendment but the Constitution itself:

Senator Mike Lee contact form

Senator Ted Cruz contact form

Let's let both sides know how we feel. That we value the Constitution.

Edward Snowden is a hero

Edward Snowden

As far as I'm concerned Edward Snowden is a hero. He exposed a massive invasion of the American people's privacy by a corrupt government. This goes beyond the Whitehouse this contaminates Congress as well. We find that one of the president's biggest Republican cheerleaders,Senator Lindsay Graham-SC,defending what the NSA and in turn, what the Whitehouse did. In fact if Graham wants us to surrender who rights and privacy he can go first. Other statists are coming forward as well to condemn Snowden. The good thing is we are finding out who the statists are and when their terms are up we can kick their sorry butts out of office. They're pissed that Snowden didn't go through proper channels. What was he supposed to do? Give that information over to higherups at the NSA? Go to the Holder Justice Department? Trust statists like Graham? If he did any of those he would be Osama Bin Laden's roommate by now. The fact that he handled the way he did shows he's not stupid. Not by any means. Let's see where this goes.
