Oppose the nomination of Cornelia Pillard to the DC Court Of Appeals

This afternoon, union-label Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is set to call a cloture vote in the U.S. Senate on the nomination of Cornelia Pillard to a seat on the D.C. Court of Appeals.

We can't let Barack Obama do to the courts what he's done with the federal bureaucracy.

You see, not only is the D.C. Circuit the nation's second most powerful court, it's the same court that rebuked Obama for his unconstitutional "recess" appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.

So please call your U.S. Senators at once and urge them to vote against Barack Obama's court-packing scheme on all votes, including cloture on the Cornelia Pillard nomination.

The truth is, it's unacceptable for Barack Obama to seek revenge against a federal court for refusing to rubber-stamp his unconstitutional power grab.

Fortunately, judicial nominations are still subject to the Senate's consent -- for now.

But I'm afraid Reid may reignite his threats to invoke the so-called "nuclear option" -- his scheme to gut the filibuster and ram through radical nominees without a 60-vote threshold.

The last time Reid made this threat, a handful of Senate Republicans led by John McCain of Arizona and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee negotiated a disastrous "deal" that gave Obama a fully-stocked NLRB to do Big Labor's bidding.

If Reid guts the filibuster for nominations, it's only a matter of time before he guts the filibuster for legislation too.

Over and over again since our founding, the National Right to Work Committee and our members have used the Senate filibuster to keep Big Labor from stealing even more destructive monopoly power.

So please call your Senators at once and tell them no more deals.

The vote is scheduled for later today, so please act at once.

Call your U.S. Senators right away, and urge them to vote against Barack Obama's court-packing scheme.

And after calling your Senators, please consider chipping in with a contribution of $10 or more to help your National Right to Work Committee keep up the fight against Big Labor.

But most importantly, please call your Senators at once.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

P.S. Barack Obama wants revenge against the nation's second most powerful court for ruling his "recess" appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional.

A vote on Barack Obama's court-packing scheme is set for later today, so it's critical you call your U.S. Senators IMMEDIATELY and urge them to vote against cloture on the nomination of Cornelia Pillard to the D.C. Circuit Court.

Politcal rant

Do you know why the Republicans always cave into Obama's demands? It is because they are terrified of being labeled "racists". Don't believe me ask Rush Limbaugh. The Democrats on the other hand have no problem crucifying black people. Look at what they did to Clarence Thomas and Herman Caine. In fact David Axelrod used a white female that was one of his neighbors to accuse Caine of sexual impropriety. Just like they did to Thomas only Thomas' accuser,Anita Hill, was black. The Democrats, the Dixie party, has no problems lynching conservative blacks, only this time they do it in print. Democrats want people to think they are the "tolerant" party when in fact they are just the opposite. Look at the average white liberal: they live in all white areas with black servants that help get their children ready for private school so they have no problem turning public schools into combat zones where the teacher's tenure is more important that the education that students may or may not be receiving. The student's test scores take second or third place whereas the demands of the teacher's union takes proiority. I love the expose' John Stossell, one of my favorites at Foxnews, did concerning education in America. The unions are just one part of the problem. Feminist and minority groups are another, not to mention the propaganda that passes for "journalism" these days. I believe it was Rush Limbaugh that called liberals "mind numb robots" and a lot of people may believe that is an exaggeration but it's not,it is an accurate description. Have you seen them try to defend Obamacare on Hannity? They never deviate from the party line. Everytime I hear them spout the party line it pisses me off. Not only that but Obama is exempt from his own health plan, along with major corporations such as McDonald's. How's that for fucking bullshit. The lamestream media and the sheeple that take what they say and print at face value are influencial in deciding public opinion and they do vote, sometimes more than once i.e. ACORN. In fact voter fraud is what gets Democrats elected over and over again. It sure isn't their ideas which come straight out of the socialist handbook. However if you are a product of modern edcuation (illiterate) then they have you tune into MSNBC or any other leftwing media. The only exception is Fox,thank god for Foxnews. The anti-white attitude of the Democratic party is costing them white members and white votes but they can't figure out why. Then again the cowardice of the Republican party is going to cause a shift change there. Thank you Ted Cruz,Mike Lee and most of all Rand Paul for taking the Republican party in a new direction. A direction that John Boehner,Mitch McConnell and John McCain may not want to go but it's going to happen. The mask has been ripped off Harry Reid so now everyone knows the monster that he truly is. Not only that but the CNN female reporter who asked Reid that question parroted the party line when she was on CNN after that press conference. That's because her superiors probably had a backroom "discussion" with her not to question Democrats or other liberals or hold them accountable in any way. Obamacare is so bad that the former Obama press secretary,Robert Gibbs, denounced it. How's this for poetic justice. Do you know who got nailed with an high Obamacare premium? Some clown at the Daily Kos. I understand he is no longer touting the benefits of Obamacare, especially when he got hit with the liabilities of Obamacare. The funny thing is that when liberals think they won't get penalized and when they do it is a laugh riot. When it comes to politics sometimes it is funny sometimes it is not but it is always interesting. Stay tuned to this blog for more updates.

Repeal NDAA unconstitutional resistriction

From Campaign For Liberty:

Update - As I was getting ready to send you the below email, news broke that the Obama administration has been collecting data on the phone calls of millions of innocent Americans.

Add this further proof of an out-of-control federal government to what we've already seen with the NDAA (more info below), and it's clear you and I must raise our voices NOW.

Please sign your Repeal Section 1021 Fax Petition today (see below for link) and give what you can to help C4L fight not only the NDAA's indefinite detention provision, but the federal government's other MASSIVE intrusions into our lives.

We all know the Supreme Court, Congress, and the President make mistakes.

ObamaCare's "Individual Mandate," anyone?

Next week, you and I have an opportunity to overturn one of the most dangerous mistakes Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court have ever made.

Which is why I need you to sign your Repeal Section 1021 Fax Petition right away!

Let me explain...

You see, in 1944, the Supreme Court upheld the supposed "constitutionality" of Franklin D. Roosevelt's Executive Order 9066, which led to the internment of Japanese-Americans in prison camps throughout WWII.

Despite the passage of the "Civil Liberties Act of 1988," the Korematsu and Hirabayashi decisions are still on the books.

In 1992, when Congress passed amendments to the Act, then-President George H.W. Bush said, "The internment of Americans of Japanese ancestry was a great injustice, and it will never be repeated."

Or will it...?

Congress has reopened this scar in our nations' past by codifying into law Presidential authority to detain Americans as long as they want.

Specifically, Section 1021 of the FY 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) allows American citizens to be detained indefinitely - without due process - until the "War on Terror" is declared over.

But, as politicians of both parties are forever reminding us, the "War on Terror" may never be over.

An amendment intended to curtail the blatantly unconstitutional indefinite detention provision was adopted to the FY 2013 NDAA in the Senate - before being stripped out by the John McCain-led Conference Committee.

Their goal was to ensure the President could secretly target American citizens and throw them in jail for years or even decades without so much as ever giving them a trial!

Next week, the full House will take up the FY 2014 NDAA, and it's up to us to make sure it repeals Section 1021 of the FY 2012 NDAA.

That's why it's so urgent you sign your "Repeal Section 1021" Fax Petition to Congress right away!

This petition urges your representative to support any amendment that will prevent the indefinite detention of American citizens and to vote against any defense authorization bill that doesn't repeal this abuse of power!

Representative Thomas Massie and others have assured us they are doing what they can to bring an amendment to the floor, but if it gets there, your representative needs to know how to vote.

That's why Congress needs to hear from you immediately.

After failing to adopt amendments to repeal Sec. 1021 of the FY 2012 NDAA, the government still has the authority to indefinitely detain anyone the government accuses of "supporting terrorism."

Remember, not too long ago, it was C4L members who were listed in a Missouri Fusion Center report, later referred to as the MIAC report, as "domestic extremists" to be watched.

And it wasn't just C4L members on that list, but people displaying third party logos and bumper stickers - and, specifically, supporters of Ron Paul.

In the past, everyone from gun owners, to pro-lifers, to tea partiers have been labeled "terrorists" by their political opponents.

This is why it's critical Section 1021 be repealed.

In a signing statement, the President assured Americans he wouldn't use this power.

But after all that's happened with this administration lately, I'm not sure Americans can ever take this President at his word again.

Even if this President doesn't use such authority, what about the next? And the one after that?

You and I must take a stand and make our voices heard.

So please sign your Repeal Section 1021 Fax Petition right away.

Ultimately, I'd love to flood Capitol Hill with fax petitions from outraged constituents all across the country.

But C4L can only take as much action as our members' continued support allows.

So please sign your Repeal Section 1021 Fax Petition.

In Liberty,

John Tate
President

P.S. Next week, the full House will take up the FY 2014 NDAA, and it's up to us to make sure they repeal Section 1021 of the FY 2012 NDAA.

That's why it's so urgent you sign your "Repeal Section 1021" Fax Petition to Congress right away!

This petition urges your representative to support any amendment that will prevent the indefinite detention of American citizens and to vote against any defense authorization bill that doesn't repeal this abuse of power!

McCain is a senile old moron

John McCain attacks Rand Paul on filibuster, drones saying he needs to ‘calm down’

U.S. Sen. John McCain slammed fellow Republican Rand Paul on the Senate floor Thursday morning for his 13-hour filibuster to block John Brennan’s confirmation as CIA Director.

“Calm down, Senator,” McCain said, in an address to Paul. “The U.S. government cannot randomly target U.S. citizens.”

In his filibuster Wednesday, Paul criticized the White House over its drone policies, and for refusing to rule out military strikes against U.S. citizens on American soil.

McCain said Thursday that Paul’s warnings that the U.S. could target “Jane Fonda” or “people in cafes” bring the debate into the “realm of the ridiculous.”

“If Mr. Paul wants to be taken seriously he needs to do more than pull political stunts that fire up impressionable libertarian kids,” McCain said, adding: “I don’t think what happened yesterday is helpful to the American people.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) echoed these criticisms, adding that he was “disappointed” in the 13 Republican Senators who supported Paul’s filibuster last night. Graham scoffed at Paul’s question about whether Obama thinks he has the authority to kill a noncombatant American citizen on U.S. soil.

“I find the question offensive,” Graham said Thursday on the Senate floor. “As much I disagree with President Obama and as much as I support past presidents, I do not believe that question deserves an answer.” Paul’s question, the South Carolina Republican said, “cheapens the debate.”

Graham later told reporters that he will vote to confirm Brennan as a result of the filibuster

I am so sick of hearing about John McCain, that senile old bastard from Arizona. He is a fucking STATIST in all caps. Wherever the forces of liberty go to defend civil liberties and freedoms McCain is there to counter us and oppose us,time and time again. He has never once stood on the side of liberty in fact he is our biggest opponent on the Republican side of the aisle. McCain's disdain for us "liberty kids" is obvious and his understanding of how the government is ran is very limited or he under estimates everybody else. If you received a watered down third rate education by a modern union teacher who couldn't care less and cannot be fired due to tenure then maybe you'll believe McCain. On the other hand if you received a quality education then you know McCain is full of shit. The government is "of the people, for the people and by the people". The people run the government. That is why McCain must run to keep his job and if he loses he goes back to Arizona to stay, which sounds great to me. If there were no elections he would just meet someone in a office to discuss performance reviews. Sounds like McCain needs to either take a course in civics or get off our Libertarian backs.

Senator Lindsey Graham has made good decisions in the past. His standing up to VAWA is admirable but he's got it wrong this time. There can be some positive changes. Unfortunately a lot of Republicans want to be liked by the liberal media and to do so they will sell out core conservative values if they think it will gain them favorable coverage. Unfortunately for them the liberal media hates them and will do anything against them. Senator Graham,if you are reading this or hear about it that dinner with Obama may have been the most expensive meal yet. I don't believe the voters of South Carolina sent you to Washington DC to clink glasses with Obama. I'm sure when they heard about it they were probably very upset. If Obama and the Democrats can accept the National Review hates their guts then the Republicans have to accept the New York Times hates their guts. If you are a Libertarian and a resident of Arizona or South Carolina let McCain and Graham know where you stand.

A message from Ron Paul

From Campaign for Liberty:

This is getting to be like a bad movie.

You know the ones - where the villain, dead and buried more times than you can count, somehow mysteriously reappears in a place you don't expect him?

Well, here comes. . . a new fight over a biometric National ID card - and if you don't have the card, you can't work.

Right now, freedom-stealing statists Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), banding together with members of both parties, are scheming to sneak a massive power grab into a new "immigration reform" bill.

This bill is a statist's dream - a biometric ID card for every American.

In fact, when asked recently if he favored "a super Social Security card that would have some sort of biometric thing like a fingerprint," John McCain said, "I'm for it"!

That's why it's vital you sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L to make your voice heard on this issue IMMEDIATELY.

I'll give you the link in a moment, but first let me explain exactly what's at stake.

If passed, this dangerous scheme would require a new National ID card that would:
*** Include biometric identification information, such as fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, which could easily be used as a tracking device;

*** Be required for all U.S. workers regardless of place of birth, making it illegal for anyone to hold a job in the United States who doesn't obtain the ID card;

*** Require all employers to purchase an "ID scanner" to verify the ID cards with the federal government. Every time any citizen applies for a job, the government would know - and you can bet it's only a matter of time until "ID scans" will be required to make even routine purchases, as well. That's why it's vital you sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L right away.

Of course, the most dangerous part of the bill is the biometric tracking technology, which would allow federal bureaucrats to track our every move.

Allowing our government to have this much "prying power" in our lives will ultimately result in the TOTAL loss of freedom.

This is exactly the type of battle that often decides whether a country remains free or continues down a slide toward tyranny.

Government goon squads with all our personal information - information they do not need and constitutionally should not have - is a recipe for disaster for our nation.

You see, once "well-meaning" government bureaucrats know exactly how we live our lives, it won't be long until they try to run them.

In fact, it will only be a matter of time until they spend their workdays making sure you and I don't go anywhere, read anything, eat anything, or drink anything they think we "shouldn't be allowed to."

Once that door opens, how long before the statists start telling us what we can teach our children? Or where we can go to church? Or what God we are "allowed" to worship?

It's clear this battle isn't really about immigration.

Whatever you think of that issue, it's simply being used as cover.

This fight is about being able to watch and control your every move.

If there is good news to report, it's that, thanks to the help of activists like you, liberty-minded Americans have been able to render the Big Government politicians' National ID nearly toothless in numerous states across the country.

And C4L has been vital in helping to hold off their attempt to implement their cherished National ID scheme for the last few years.

But the statists are growing nervous.

They know the American people are FED UP with TRILLION-dollar deficits, massive new tax hikes, all-out assaults on our God-given right to keep and bear arms, and their other attempts to control every aspect of our lives.

They see your outrage is producing results, and many of their outrageous schemes are failing.

The American people are rising up in state after state to say "Enough," and brushfires of liberty are sweeping the nation.

So the statists are trying a bipartisan, "backdoor" scheme to impose more control over the American people.

They're hoping that after months of Big Media mouthpieces decrying the "poisonous and partisan politics" in Washington, the American people will jump for joy at the sight of a Democrat from liberal New York and a Republican from conservative Arizona "working together to solve our immigration mess."

Well, you and I know better.

After all, activists can hardly find two Senators with bigger vendettas against the liberty movement than Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator John McCain.

Senator McCain, along with his buddy Lindsey Graham, has very publicly denounced the liberty movement.

As I'm sure you remember, instead of standing with Senator Rand Paul during his historic filibuster, John McCain and Lindsey Graham were having dinner with President Obama.

And the next day, they lashed out against Rand, calling his filibuster "ridiculous."

They've clearly shown they believe we're not welcome in THEIR party.

That's one reason why I'm counting on you to FIGHT back by signing your "No National ID" petition to C4L IMMEDIATELY.

The only way to DEFEAT a new National ID card is to contact Americans from coast-to-coast and explain EXACTLY what's at stake.

They're not going to get the real story from the mainstream media. And they're surely not going to get the real story from the Washington establishment.

It's up to you and me to get our message out to as many folks as possible before it's too late.

With your help, C4L can send powerful emails and run Facebook and Internet banner ads to alert liberty-loving Americans to the National ID scheme included in the new "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill."

So please, sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L IMMEDIATELY!

This is one fight you and I can't afford to lose.

Passage of the National ID card would virtually guarantee the last vestiges of freedom we enjoy as Americans would be seriously jeopardized.

If you and I don't defeat this scheme, who will?

There is already a strong, "bipartisan coalition" developing, and the American people barely know what's going on.

So please sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L.

In Liberty,

Ron Paul
Chairman

P.S. Right now, freedom-stealing statists Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), banding together with members of both parties, are scheming to sneak a massive power grab into a new "immigration reform" bill.

If passed, it would require every American to obtain a National ID card to work legally in the U.S. - and you can bet it will only be a matter of time until they're required even for simple purchases.

So please sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L to make your voice heard right away.
