A couple of disappointments

What do Barrack Obama and Kim Jong Un have in common? They are both disappointments. Obama could have given us a Star Trek future where race was no longer a factor. That you could be anything you wanted without someone holding you down. He could have shown African-Americans a better,brighter future. What does he do? Take us back to the '50's and before with his race baiting and divisive tactics.

Kim was educated outside of North Korea. He knows the western world is nothing like the North Koreans are portraying it. He could have led his people into the 21st century. He could have been the Korean version of Mikhail Gorbachev instead he is the 2nd North Korean leader that is a a reminder of Josef Stalin. Just like his grandpa.

These two showed promise and as it turns out it is a promise broken.

On North Korea II

The annual Foal Eagle military drills between the US and South Korea will include some heavy hitters this year — the Navy SEAL team that took out Osama bin Laden, Army Special Forces, and F-35s — South Korea's Joon Gang Daily reports.

South Korean news outlets report that the SEALs, who will join the exercise for the first time, will simulate a "decapitation attack," or a strike to remove North Korea's leadership.

Pentagon spokesman Cmdr. Gary Ross later told Business Insider that the US military "does not train for decapitation missions" of any kind.

Yet a decapitation force would fit with a March 1 Wall Street Journal report that the White House is considering military action against the Kim regime.

The SEALs boarded the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier and should arrive in South Korea on Wednesday, Joon Gang Daily reports.

South Korea has also made efforts toward a decapitation force, and international calls for action have increased in intensity after North Korea's latest missile test, which simulated a saturation attack to defeat US and allied missile defenses.

“It will send a very strong message to North Korea, which is constantly carrying out military provocations,” a ministry official told Joon Gang Daily.

The Foal Eagle exercise includes 3,600 US troops, in addition to the 28,000 US troops permanently stationed in South Korea. The drills include air, land, and sea operations designed to prepare the joint forces in case of a conflict with North Korea.

This year's exercise also integrates preparation for the deployment of US missile defenses to South Korea.

Additionally, the US's newest combat aircraft, the F-35, will fly in to simulate attacks on North Korea's missile infrastructure, Joon Gang Daily reports. The F-35 will accompany many of the US's highest-end platforms, like F-22s and a nuclear-powered submarine.

"A bigger number of and more diverse US special operation forces will take part in this year's Foal Eagle and Key Resolve exercises to practice missions to infiltrate into the North, remove the North's war command and demolition of its key military facilities," the an unnamed military official told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.

When I wrote On North Korea I had no idea whom Obama's successor would be. It appears that Trump is not fucking around. It the beginning of this article it stated that SEAL team 6 doesn't train during these exercises. This should be a wake up call to fatboy in North Korea. Trump is not fucking around with fatboy. Trump knows that fatboy is trying to perfect a missile that will reach the western United States. I'm sure fatboy is hoping it's a nuke. Trump is not going to wait until the west coast is destroyed nor does it appear he will tolerate American fatalities. It appears that fatboy and his generals are in bigger trouble than our citizenry is. It doesn't look like fatboy is going to see his 35th birthday.

North Korea is tired of fat boy's shit.

SEOUL, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- A North Korean defector said Pyongyang's Workers' Party is "imploding" due to Kim Jong Un's inconsistent policies, and grievances against the leader have soared since he fully assumed power.

The former party cadre, who spoke to Yonhap on the condition of anonymity, said Kim often finds fault with "old and senile party members," and his disparaging remarks have often placed him at odds with veteran politicians appointed by former leader Kim Jong Il. Kim has said North Korean politicians with decades of experience are ineffective workers, according to the defector.

Demoralized cadres have said that "there is no future" for North Korea since Kim came to power, and pessimism is pervasive in government, according to the defector identified as "A." The defector said the execution of Kim's uncle Jang Song Thaek was shocking for North Korea's elite, and signs of conflict have emerged since Kim replaced older bureaucrats with new appointees.

"The purge of Jang Song Thaek, Ri Yong Ho and Hyon Yong Chol did not come about only due to Kim Jong Un's 'tyrannical tendencies,'" the defector said. "Generational change and Kim's distrust of cadres, these and the party's inconsistencies all combined to lead to these incidents."

The defector said that during his term as a party cadre in the previous regime under Kim Jong Il, he like others "worked night and day...with tremendous pride," but according to his sources officials now seek to defect, skirt work responsibilities while placing self-interest before the concerns of the group.

Purges, however, have been key to the survival of the North Korean regime that began with founder Kim Il Sung. South Korean television network SBS reported North Korea's state newspaper ran a special feature Wednesday on the Workers' Party, hailing the ruling party as the "Great Mother" of the country.

SBS reported the former leader consolidated his power in 1953 by purging influential communists like Pak Hon Yong for challenging his rule and eliminating other factions.

North Korea Wants To Buy Russia's Super Advanced Su-35 Fighter Jet

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un sent a special envoy to Moscow to ask Russia to sell him its most advanced fighter jets, South Korean and Russian media are reporting.

On Thursday, a senior South Korean military official told JoongAng Ilbo, a conservative South Korean daily newspaper, that North Korea officially asked Russia to sell it the Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jet. Notably, the Russian state-owned ITAR-TASS news agency picked up the JoongAng Ilbo report on its website on Friday.

According to the original report, the request was made in November when Choe Ryong-hae, North Korea’s number two, traveled to Russia as Kim Jong-un’s special envoy. During the trip, Choe met with Vladimir Putin and gave the Russian president a letter from Kim.

“Choe Ryong-hae, who visited Moscow as a special envoy of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in November last year, asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to provide Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets,” JoongAng Ilbo quoted the military source as saying. The source added that he didn’t believe Russia would consent to the sale because of international sanctions against North Korea.

As Dave Majumdar wrote in The National Interest last month, the Su-35 “is the most potent fighter currently in operation with the Russian Air Force. The powerful twin-engine fighter, which is an advanced derivative of the original Soviet-era Su-27, is high flying, fast and carries an enormous payload. That, combined with its advanced suite of avionics, makes the Su-35 an extremely dangerous foe to any U.S. fighter, with the exception of the stealthy Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.”

The 4++ generation fighter jet would be a substantial upgrade over the North Korean Air Force’s current arsenal, which mostly consists of outdated Chinese and Russian platforms like the MiG-21 and Su-25. North Korea purchased these aircraft from Russia in the waning days of the Soviet Union.

North Korea has long sought more modernized aircraft to compete with the South Korean and American fleets. However, as the military source told JoongAng Ilbo, “The North produces many weapons systems domestically, but it appears to have sought Russia’s help because building fighter jets requires more complex technologies.”

It’s not the first time that North Korea has gone abroad in search of more modernized fighters. Kim Jong-un’s father and predecessor, Kim Jong-Il, asked Russia to sell it advanced fighter aircraft during summits in 2001 and 2002. Kim Jong-Il returned to Moscow in 2011 to again ask Russia to sell it fighter jets. That same year, the former North Korean leader also traveled to Beijing to ask then-Chinese President Hu Jintao to sell North Korea J-10 and J-11 stealth fighters. Hu rejected the request.

Even if Russia won’t sell Pyongyang the Su-35, Moscow has shown an interest in strengthening ties to the Hermit Kingdom in recent months. Last month, a Kremlin spokesperson announced that Putin has invited Kim Jong-un to Moscow in May of this year to celebrate the 70 anniversary of Nazi Germany’s defeat. If Kim accepts the invitation, it would be his first trip abroad since taking over power in North Korea following his father’s death in late 2011.

I think the Russians are going to go for it. Putin is not a big Obama fan unlike the American left and I'm sure he would like to embarass Obama once more. When the sale goes down and Kim Cube gets the planes he is after the US and South Korea will have a lot to worry about.

North Korea on Wednesday denounced a new Hollywood comedy about an assassination bid on leader Kim Jong-Un as a "wanton act of terror" and warned of a "merciless response" unless the US authorities banned the film.

"The Interview" stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as two celebrity journalists who land an interview with Kim and are then tasked by the CIA with killing him.

The film is due to be released in the United States on October 14.

In a statement carried by North Korea's official KCNA news agency, a foreign ministry spokesman said the film was the work of "gangster moviemakers" and should never be shown.

"The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays the attack on our top leadership... is a most wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable," the spokesman said.

In his statement, he called on the US administration to ban the film from being screened and warned that failure to do so would trigger a "resolute and merciless response".

It is not the first time Hollywood has poked fun at a North Korean leader.

In the 2004 satirical action comedy "Team America," Kim's father Kim Jong-Il was portrayed as a speech-impaired, isolated despot.

On North Korea

One of the things I like to discuss is North Korea. Yes,next to gender issues North Korea is of interest to me. I'm not Korean so it has nothing to do with heretige. It has more to do with politics. Communist regimes are of interest because I knew the realities of the cold war. I went through it. The last Stalinist country left is North Korea. You can't say their leadership is sane,not by a long shot. This is the reality: If Kim Cube goes south of the 38th parrell he's going to wish he hadn't. Or maybe not. He knows Mr. Empty Suit in the White House won't do anything. Obama and his administration let the Arab world fall to Al Qadea. Dead ambassador in Bennigazi? What dead ambassador in Bennigazi? Let's sweep it under the rug. Let's see: if we move Fast and Furious over here and Solyndra over there and place racist civil rights violations up on top then we should be able to fit it in. Obama promised a transparent government,as did Bill Clinton,and has delievered the opposite,as has Bill Clinton.

We could rely upon the UN but when you consider that the "UN" actually means "YoU Never going to find a more worthless organization" those hopes are dashed.

Kim Cube's time is short. He knows the Republicans will retake the White House in 2016 and if the new Republican president is Reaganesque on foreign policy then Kim's time is over and North Korea will have a major problem on its hands so he's getting while the gettings good. Al Qadea did the same thing in the middle east. If Kim Cube does this crap on that Republican's watch North Korea will be bomb out of existence. North Korea will be a giant parking lot and Kim knows it. His rhetoric has put every American and South Korean soldier on alert. There's more to come. Stay tuned.
