Bittersweet news

From The Free Press Action Fund:

Great news: Thanks to your phone calls to Congress, the amendment to prevent the FCC from enforcing Net Neutrality rules has been shelved.

This is a huge win, and we couldn't have pulled it off without your support.

Unfortunately, the amendment barring communities from building their own broadband networks passed — but we will do everything we can to stop it from becoming law. Help support our work with a donation of $10 (or more!) today.

Thanks for everything you do—

Oppose forced unionism

From The National Right To Work Committee:

The November mid-term elections are fast approaching.

And Big Labor’s go-to-guy -- Harry Reid -- is faced with the threat of losing his majority in the U.S. Senate.

So you can be sure the union bosses are pulling out all the stops.

In the fight for a National Right to Work law, opponents of forced unionism will face a showdown against the full might of Big Labor.

The stakes for this year couldn’t be higher.

That's why it’s vital that you act at once to ignite massive public support for a National Right to Work bill.

That's why the Committee is launching our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" with the goal of raising $100,000 by Thursday, July 24.

And a generous supporter of Right to Work has agreed to help us get there by matching all first-time contributions dollar for dollar.

I'll give you the link to donate to this critical effort in just a moment.

But first let me explain why RIGHT NOW is the best time to turn up the heat on Congress to force a vote on a National Right to Work Act.

You see, the November 2014 mid-term elections are rapidly approaching.

And there are a number of Big Labor-appeasing Senators -- many from staunchly pro-Right to Work states -- who are faced with tough re-elections.

During the upcoming August recess, these vulnerable incumbent Senators will be busy crisscrossing their state in an effort to win support from their constituents.

As you know, politicians listen most closely to the folks back home when they are out campaigning for votes -- instead of sitting safely in Washington.

That's why -- RIGHT NOW -- is the time when you and I must mobilize the nearly 80% of Americans who support Right to Work to DEMAND their elected officials vote on the National Right to Work Act.

And your Committee is preparing to launch a state-of-the-art grassroots mobilization program designed to do just that.

In fact, my staff is putting the finishing touches on one of the sample TV ads we'd like to run in target states. I'll send you the link to watch the ad as soon as it's finished.

These hard-hitting ads will shine the light of public opinion on fence-sitting Senators.

Just by mobilizing Americans on Right to Work, we can bring the forced-unionism issue to the forefront of the people's minds, and that in itself will increase the effectiveness of our 2014 election year voter education and mobilization program as we approach the November elections.

Of course, the Committee cannot do any of this without your generous financial support.

That's why for this battle to succeed it's vital that you make a generous contribution to our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" IMMEDIATELY.

And remember, your generous contribution will be matched dollar for dollar.

So, if you give a gift of $10, you'll actually be giving $20! If you can sacrifice $25, your generous contribution will equal out to $50!

This support will allow us to have a roll-call vote on a National Right to Work Act.

The last thing Big Labor is counting on is a public, roll-call vote on a National Right to Work Act.

The one-page National Right to Work Act doesn’t add a single word to federal law. It simply strikes those sections that grant Big Labor’s compulsory unionism privileges.

And a roll-call vote right now will put each and every one of Big Labor’s forced dues allies in the U.S. Senate on record in time for the November elections.

With nearly 75% of the American people opposed to forced unionism, just getting a vote is a win/win situation for Right to Work supporters.

You see, every time in the past fifty years when there has been a public, roll-call vote in Congress on whether or not workers should be forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment, Big Labor's puppets have gone down in flames at the ballot box.

For example, in the 1994 elections, 33 members of Congress were tossed out of office by their constituents after voting for Ted Kennedy's Pushbutton Strike Bill -- which would have given union bosses new strike powers to force workers to pay union dues.

And after the 2010 “Card Check” battle, Big Labor politicians were defeated in 11 of the 17 targeted Senate districts and 40 of the 49 targeted House districts.

And staunch Right to Work heroes like Senator Rand Paul, who is leading the charge on our Right to Work bill, were swept into office.

So the politicians in the U.S. Congress will face a choice:

Vote to free America’s workers from the shackles of forced unionism –- or answer to angry voters in November.

Of course, taking on the full might of Big Labor in 2014 won't be easy and you and I have our work cut out for us.

But at this critical juncture in American history, it’s vital you and I seize this opportunity to expose Big Labor's allies in Congress.

That's why it’s vital that you agree to make a generous contribution TODAY

And because a generous supporter has agreed to match your donation, your contribution will doubled!

The fact is, the groundswell for the National Right to Work Act has been building as Right to Work supporters across the country sent petitions, postcards, letters and emails to their Senators and Congressmen, urging action on the Right to Work bill.

But there is still much more to be done.

The Committee must mobilize even more Americans through carefully targeted mailings, emails and phone calls to build pressure on waffling Senators as the vote draws near.

And, in the days leading up to the vote, the Committee also plans to run targeted TV ads in key Senate districts across the country.

I must tell you that the success of this effort is based solely on the support of folks like you.

That’s why I hope you'll agree to give your maximum possible contribution -- $25, if possible today.

If $25 is simply too much to ask, then I hope you'll consider a contribution of $15 or $5.

I'm afraid if I don't receive an immediate influx of financial support, I won't be able to implement this aggressive plan to force a vote on a National Right to Work Act.

Please don't wait to give your contribution.

The Committee must have your donation by July 24 in order to properly budget expenses for the fight.

If that doesn't happen, then Big Labor’s forced-dues BILLIONS may derail our National Right to Work Act without so much as a vote.

That’s why it’s vital you chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $5 today.

And remember, thanks to a generous supporter of Right to Work, your generous contribution will be matched dollar for dollar.

Thank you in advance for your most generous support.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

P.S. Since most Americans oppose Big Labor’s forced-unionism powers, a public debate on a National Right to Work law is Big Labor’s (and their water-carriers’ in Congress) worst nightmare!

And there's no better time than RIGHT NOW to turn up the heat on Congress.

That's why the Committee is launching our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" with the goal of raising $100,000 by Thursday, July 24.

So please chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $5 today.

And because a generous supporter has agreed to match your donation, your contribution will doubled!

Tell Congress not to give Obama the money for immigration lawyers

From Tea Party Patriots:

Congress is about to vote on a bill to give Barack Obama nearly $4 billion to care for all the illegal aliens pouring across our southern border.

Please sign the emergency "No Funding for Illegal Aliens" petition right now. Congress could vote on this proposal at any time.

Then, please forward this email to everyone you know. We must overwhelm Congress with petitions, and we must do it FAST!

This massive spending bill will help Obama resettle these illegal immigrants in America.
It will use YOUR tax money to pay for immigration lawyers for these trespassers.
It will provide food, clothing, and transportation for thousands and thousands of illegals.
This is an insane proposal that undermines American sovereignty and will ruin our economy.
Please sign your petition now, and ask everyone you know to do the same.
Barack Obama has no intention at all of ever sending these illegal immigrants back home.
That's why he's lobbying hard for this $4 billion.
Liberal Republican Lindsey Graham is already campaigning to give Obama this money. He recently declared, "I think we need to go ahead and allocate the resources because this is not a good situation."
This measure will pass unless ordinary Americans fight back - NOW.
Traditionally conservative politicians are terrified of voting against this proposal. They don't want to seem mean by voting against "children."
That's why these petitions are so incredibly important. We have to overcome the liberal media, pro-illegal alien big businesses and the open-borders lobby.
They are all fighting hard to get Obama this money.
Just click here to sign your petition. And then, please, please forward this email to everyone you know. This is an emergency.
Obama's plan is to use this giant slush fund to pay for immigration lawyers and to find local "sponsors" for all these illegals.
Many of these people have contagious diseases. Others are gang members.
Still others are children whose parents sent them to America because of Obama's "DREAM Act" executive order.
This is a disaster. And giving Obama $4 billion to play with will certainly make it even worse!!
America's taxpayers can't afford to reward this bad behavior a moment longer. The only thing left to give these people is a one-way ticket back to their home countries.
That's what we need to tell Congress: Stand firm. Vote NO on this $4 billion slush fund. And send these illegals home.
Please sign your petition immediately. As I said, Congress could vote on this "emergency spending bill" at any time.
Obama truly believes he can run right over the Republicans in Congress. He believes he can shame them into giving him this money.
Ordinary Americans must take a stand against this insanity. NOW.
Please go here to sign your petition. And don't forget to forward this email to everyone you know.
We must swamp Congress with petitions!
Thank you in advance for all your help.

Save Net Neutrality

From Demand Progress:

Thirty six hours to go. That’s how long we have to get pro-Net Neutrality comments submitted to the FCC in front of their first comment period deadline — and save the Internet from the clutches of Comcast, Time Warner, and their ilk.

Let’s make our power clear, by submitting more comments than the FCC’s ever seen before:

Visit our brand new website and send the FCC a formal comment demanding support for Net Neutrality. It’ll only take a minute.

We're in a battle to for the Internet as we know it. Net Neutrality guarantees all websites — start-ups, blogs, independent media — an even playing field. It’s essentially the First Amendment of the Internet.

But the cable companies want to gut Net Neutrality to increase their profits: Without Net Neutrality, those corporations can kill websites by relegating them to slow lanes if they don’t pay fees — or if they just don’t like the content they contain.

Many of you have already signed petitions to the FCC or President Obama — and so have literally millions of others. That’s incredible — and it’s had a huge impact. But now we all need to go one step further and submit formal comments into the FCC’s Net Neutrality proceeding.

It’s really quick and easy, and carries way more weight than the usual petition signature does. You’ll be a formal part of the process.

Submit a formal comment to the FCC before the end of this comment period — it’s over TOMORROW.

Originally the FCC was poised to undermine Net Neutrality all together. Because we all pushed back, now they’re considering adopting rules that would save it.

But they’ll only do so if we speak out again, even louder.

We can make a huge statement: We have a chance of submitting more comments than the FCC has ever received on an issue before.

The cable companies have millions of dollars and armies of lobbyists and public relations firms -- and since they own so much of the communications infrastructure, it's especially easy for them to push their propaganda.

But we have millions of people on our side — and our only chance of beating the cable companies is if we all take a stand, together.

Click here to visit our brand new website and send the FCC a formal comment demanding support for Net Neutrality. It’ll only take a minute.

Thanks.

Play time for terrorists

If I were a terrorist I would strike on the southern border with Mexico. With all these children coming across at Barrack Obama's invitation it is an excellent distraction from what else is happening. According to tonight's Hannity a lot of muslims are pouring across our southern border as well. That would mean either Al Qadea or ISIS is coming across the border. Remember this is the same ISIS that is currently trying to bomb Israel out of existence and they have made it no secret that they are coming after us. Now add on top of that the United States has a southern neighbor,Mexico, that has no respect for our country. They show this by imprisoning our Marine,Andrew Tahmooressi, when it has been shown that he entered Mexico unknowingly and was cooperative with Mexican authorities. Now add to that Obama is discharging people from the military while demanding money for the illegal aliens pouring across our border. No military to defend the country,a system overworked by a ever expanding growth in illegal aliens and an infrustructure about to collapse. On the rest of the world,North Korea is getting brave and our allies are wondering if we can lead or not. America's enemies are embolden while America's allies are worried. Yes,I would say this is the time to strike and strike hard. I'm probably not the only one to see this but the only difference is I'm being hypothetical while they may actually implement it.

Oppose the gay bill of special rights

From Public Advocate:

Wave after wave.

The clock is ticking.

With midterm elections fast approaching, the Homosexual Lobby knows they may lose their grip on Congress.

They know this summer may be their last -- and best -- opportunity to ram the Gay Bill of Special Rights, the Homosexual Classrooms Act, and the Offense of Marriage Act down the throats of the American people.

So they’re wasting no time whipping up a tsunami of political momentum before it’s too late.

And they’re striking at a time when your Public Advocate is at its weakest -- while I have bills from an expensive lawsuit against the radical pro-homosexual Southern Poverty Law Center.

That’s why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action to stop this tsunami and save our precious traditional values.

I need you to immediately sign your petition below demanding Congress oppose the Homosexual Lobby’s radical agenda.

Second, will you please send a one-time emergency contribution of $15?

I know that’s asking a lot, but the stakes are higher than ever before.

That’s because I must raise $59,835 in the next two weeks to organize a massive lobbying campaign and mobilize over 500,000 more pro-Family activists like you to fight these evil bills.

If I don’t raise the funds, weak-kneed moderates in Congress will assume this is a one-sided battle -- that “everyone” is in favor of the Homosexual Lobby’s radical agenda.

If you don’t act now, the Homosexual Lobby will force their entire agenda into law, including:

1) The Homosexual Classrooms Act, requiring every school -- even private and religious schools -- to teach appalling homosexual acts.

And since Barack Obama doesn’t have to face the voters again for re-election, the Homosexual Lobby understands this may be their last -- and best -- opportunity to make their entire radical agenda the law of the land.

This legislation would spin impressionable students in a whirlwind of sexual confusion and misinformation, even peer pressure to “experiment” with the homosexual “lifestyle.”

2) The Offense of Marriage Act, repealing the Defense of Marriage Act which protects the majority of states from the radical homosexual “marriage” laws passed by a few.

If passed, wedding gown-clad men
or tuxedo clad women smooching before some left-wing clergyman or state official is just the beginning.

3) The Gay Bill of Special Rights, granting special job rights to homosexuals. Every homosexual fired or not hired becomes a potential federal civil rights lawsuit.

Radical homosexuals will terrorize daycares, hospitals and churches. Traditional moral values will be shattered by federal decree.

I know this all sounds like something out of a nightmare.

If I didn’t spend so much time in the nation’s capitol fighting for the family, I wouldn’t believe it could happen here in America.

Honestly, my job feels like the loneliest in the world.

It seems as though I have so few allies in my fight.

But I am sustained by every new petition, knowing you and thousands of others still stand by me in my struggle to protect the family and our nation from the radical Homosexual Agenda.

All around me, agents of the radical Homosexual Lobby are strutting through the halls of Congress bragging about how they’ve finally beaten us.

And if you and I don’t act now, they may be right.

This is our last chance to stop the Gay Bill of Special Rights, the Homosexual Classrooms Act, and the Offense of Marriage Act. It can be done, but I need your help right away!

If Public Advocate is going to have the resources to mount a successful lobbying campaign against the Homosexual Lobby’s entire radical agenda, I must raise $59,835 in the next two weeks.

So please, sign your petition and contribute to defend America's families today.

With your signed petition in hand, I can prove that Public Advocate supporters still stand for the American Family and against the radical Homosexual Agenda.

Every day, as I walk through the halls of Congress, I feel the eyes of radical homosexuals on me. Their hatred is obvious, and they are everywhere.

They seem to have gotten to anyone who was weak or wavering.

Everywhere I go, old allies tell me they can’t afford to “make a fuss” over the Gay Bill of Special Rights, the Homosexual Classrooms Act, or defend marriage because the Homosexual Agenda has “so much public support.”

The Homosexual Lobby’s Supreme Court victory over part of the Defense of Marriage Act has convinced many Congressmen that no one still stands for the family.

Lawmakers tell me they don’t believe pro-Family Americans are willing to fight anymore. And with this new tidal wave attack, they say the Homosexual Lobby is an unstoppable force!

You and I know they are WRONG. Help me prove it.

I must make them understand that a majority of Americans do oppose special rights for homosexuals.

And we do want REAL marriage protected by federal law!

That’s why I need you to click here to sign your petition immediately and contribute $15 to Public Advocate's fight for the family.

CISA would give the NSA more information about you, sign the petition if you oppose this.

From Fight For The Future:

Over the weekend a detailed report in the Washington Post caught the U.S. government in more lies about the scope of its dragnet surveillance programs. The Post showed that the NSA intercepted communications from ordinary people 9 times more often than from “targets” suspected of any wrongdoing.

People are outraged. And we should be. Any politician that plans to keep their job should be doing everything they can to put an end to these illegal and unethical surveillance practices.

Infuriatingly, *today* the Senate Intelligence Committee is rushing to advance “CISA,” a bill that would give the NSA more access to our data than ever before, and give companies like Facebook and Google legal immunity for violating our privacy.

Your signature is needed to stop CISA, the new CISPA. Will you click here to take action right now? Every second counts, the markup is this afternoon.

Does “CISA” sound kind of familiar? That’s because it’s another zombified version of CISPA, a bill that Internet users have beaten back twice before.

It’s despicable that the Senate Intelligence Committee, who are supposed to oversee the government’s spying programs and protect our rights, is choosing this moment to resurrect CISPA, and sneaking it through in a closed door markup.

Thanks to the huge rise in privacy activism and reporting over the past year, it should be easier than ever to defeat legislation like this. But we have to remain vigilant. Congress is trying to do this quietly; we can’t let them. Take action right now.
