Nancy Patricia Pelosi was elected to California’s 5th Congressional District in 1987. Since then, she has risen to serve two terms as speaker of the House of Representatives, the most prestigious and powerful position in the U.S. Congress, second in line to the presidency. Should both President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence be unable to serve in office, Nancy Pelosi, by Constitutional mandate, would become president of the United States.
She is a member of political nobility.
As speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi has a call on virtually all federal assets except Air Force One and Air Force Two.
At her leisure, she flies wherever she wants to go aboard taxpayer-owned, fully tricked-out private jets, flown by military pilots, with her pets, friends and family members; stays at the most lavish hotels in the world; eats in the finest private dining rooms and is protected wherever she goes by a full complement of bodyguards of the Secret Service.
The media are spellbound by her breathing, her attire, her every utterance, no matter how extreme, banal or silly. As a member of the political nobility, Nancy Pelosi hates the masses, despises them for their lack of appreciation for her looks, her speech and especially, her ethereal and vaunted position.
She grew up in a radically progressive family, and her father served as a progressive Democrat in the House of Representatives and as mayor of Baltimore.
Pelosi grew up in the lap of luxury far removed from the realities of life. Majoring in political science in college, she has focused her entire life on the craft of politics — manipulation of the masses for political and financial gain.
Lusting for the limelight, Queen Nancy never misses an opportunity to jump in front of a camera or a parade.
Pelosi spends much of her time trying to maintain a front — including keeping up her appearance, which involves regular hair reconstruction.
Pelosi’s legacy won’t be her radical progressivism, her tacit approval of communist revolutionaries torching her city, the thousands of homeless on the streets of her district, her failure to rid the country of Donald Trump, her loss of control over her caucus to a bevy of wild-eyed communist twits or even her scandalous enrichment of her family at taxpayer expense.
No. Nancy will be remembered for having her hair done at a hair salon in San Francisco while all hair salons were shut down by her governor, Gavin Newsom, a fellow radical leftist.
Pelosi was recently caught in the raw: shuffling through the back door of a hair salon, wet straggly hair hanging down, without a stitch of COVID masking to be seen.
She was caught on closed-circuit cameras having her hair done, by private appointment, in a salon that was legally closed — without a mask. And when the clip was released to the media, she publicly blamed the owner of the salon, claiming she had been “set up.”
She could have just admitted bad judgment and the story would have died in 24 hours but, you see, the nobility can’t admit to having exercised bad judgment or they wouldn’t be nobility.
You see, Nancy’s middle name is Patricia, meaning regal or noble. A lifetime of political mud-wrestling has left little evidence of what might plausibly have been regal or noble in Nancy Pelosi.
There is, however, a striking resemblance to a real patrician of the late 18th century, Marie Antoinette, the queen wife of King Louis XVI.
Physical and intellectual considerations aside, the resemblance lies in the egotistical, self-entitled lifestyles of the two women. Marie Antoinette had the world at her feet and everything she could possibly desire to satisfy her childish demands — all of which eventually led to her beautifully coiffed cranium being liberated at the guillotine between C4 and C5.
The court of Louis XVI enjoyed everything that money of the day could buy: travel in the finest gilded coaches, the finest clothing styles of the day, private tutored education, unrestrained sex and drugs, prestige, position and power.
Yet that great leveler, the guillotine, brought it all down for even most patrician in French society. Louis, Marie and their entourage never dreamed they might fall from their vaunted positions of privilege, yet fall they did, their heads into the bloodied basket of the scaffold.
How could this happen? How had they lost control? Revolutions are dangerous business.
Nancy Pelosi has refined the craft of politics to a point that would turn the 16th-century Niccoló Machiavelli green with envy.
One dictum from “The Prince,” which Pelosi has certainly memorized, is to never give reason for the lowly masses to laugh or ridicule the queen, for ridicule and humor at the expense of the queen is the beginning of her fall.
The case can be made Pelosi’s fall off her perch began with the election of Donald Trump.
Possessing a low regard for the self-appointed nobility in America, the pompous pontificating pretenders of the Washington, D.C., political class and their billionaire owners, Trump’s very existence has driven the speaker into a curious mental condition, clinically known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, that even the media finds difficult to ignore. But back to the guillotine.
As in the 18th century, the political class and their billionaire owners appear to have forgotten what happened to their class during the French Revolution of 1789-1799: They had their heads chopped off — in public no less. Both the sponsors and the leaders of the Revolution ended up on the gallows.
Revolutions always end with the fomenters’, the leaders’ and the sponsors’ heads in the basket and the current revolutionary turmoil, if successful, can’t possibly end any other way.
Already, the mobs are attacking the homes of their mayoral masters in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and Chicago.
The mayor of Portland has been forced to leave his $840,000 condo-apartment after the revolution came to his “secure” building; he’s been forced to move to an undisclosed location by the very mob he encouraged and empowered.
Even Queen Pelosi has experienced a gathering of the lowly masses outside her multi-million-dollar home back in her district — an incident not far removed from 1789. It scared the hell out of her — or something along that line.
Revolutions are dangerous, especially for the political class.
Now Nancy Pelosi has been unmasked to her salivating, genuflecting public. She’s just another flawed human being pretending to be something she clearly is not, a very dangerous development for a make-believe queen.
Once the mob realizes she, and scores more like her in America’s political Versailles, is what she is, the cries will not be far away: To the scaffold! Off with her head!

Meet the new boss same as the old boss
A powerful House Committee cleared a drug policy reform amendment for consideration on the House floor on Monday. But at the same time, it blocked a separate marijuana reform proposal from advancing.
The measure moving to a full House vote, introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), would eliminate a long-standing rider on a spending bill that prohibits federal agencies from using funds for “any activity that promotes the legalization of any drug or other substance in Schedule I” of the Controlled Substances Act.
The congresswoman argued in a summary of her proposal that the current provision impedes valuable research into substances that have therapeutic potentials such as psilocybin and MDMA. Cannabis is also listed among those substances as a Schedule I drug.
The amendment blocked from advancing to the floor, filed by Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA), would have prevented the Department of Education from denying or limiting “any funding or assistance to institutions of higher education” that allow the use or possession of medical cannabis on campus in states where it is legal.
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), chair of the House Rules Committee, said last year that he was “not going to block marijuana amendments like my predecessor has done.”
“I’m not going to block marijuana amendments,” he said last year shortly after Democrats took back control of the House in the midterm elections. “People ought to bring them to the floor, they should be debated and people ought to vote the way they feel appropriate.”
The rider that Ocasio-Cortez’s amendment would remove has been attached to spending legislation for the U.S. Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and Education since at least 1996.
The congresswoman’s effort comes at an especially relevant time, as jurisdictions across the U.S. are pursuing psilocybin reform with a focus on the fungi’s medical potential. Voters in Denver approved a local measure to decriminalize the substance in May, and last week the Oakland City Council unanimously passed a similar measure that also applies to other psychedelics including ayahuasca, mescaline and ibogaine.
Just before the Rules Committee meeting on Monday, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) signed on as cosponsors of the amendment.

Correa’s amendment on medical marijuana at colleges and universities would have helped undercut a major reason some administrators say they won’t allow even approved patients to bring cannabis on campus: the threatened loss of federal funds over a failure to bar federally illegal drug use and possession.
“It is frustrating that patients who are seeking to improve their position in life by attending college would be forced to choose between their education and their medication,” University of Utah NORML Director Pedro Padilla told Marijuana Moment.
While the Democratic-controlled House has produced several wide-ranging marijuana bills this congressional session, including a cannabis banking bill expected to hit the floor in the coming weeks, it’s apparent that there’s strong interest in advancing reform through the appropriations process.
House Appropriations Committee reports released so far this year call for the expansion of research into medical cannabis, funding the implementation of hemp regulations, tackling the challenges associated with impaired driving, creating an alternative regulatory framework for CBD and ensuring that military veterans don’t lose their benefits due to their involvement in state-legal cannabis markets.
A committee report published on Monday also implored the federal government to reevaluate its employment polices as it pertains to workers who use cannabis in accordance with state law.
McGovern did not say during Monday’s Rules Committee meeting why he chose to block the medical marijuana amendment from advancing despite his previous pledges to allow such proposals to advance for consideration by the full House.
He had joined marijuana policy reform advocates in criticizing his predecessor, then-Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), for consistently impeding cannabis proposals from advancing.
The overall spending bill and amendments made in order will be debated on the floor this week.

Congressional drug prohibitionist arrested for possession of cocaine
WASHINGTON — In September, Rep. Trey Radel voted for Republican legislation that would allow states to make food stamp recipients pee in cups to prove they’re not on drugs. In October, police busted the Florida Republican on a charge of cocaine possession.
“It’s really interesting it came on the heels of Republicans voting on everyone who had access to food stamps get drug tested,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told BuzzFeed Tuesday. “It’s like, what?”
The House over the summer approved an amendment by Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) that would let states drug test people on food stamps. The amendment passed by voice vote, meaning members’ individual yeas and nays were not recorded. Radel later voted in favor of a broader food stamps bill that included Hudson’s measure.
In support of his drug testing legislation, Hudson cited the many state legislatures around the country that had considered similar requirements for other means-tested programs in recent years.
“This is a clear and obvious problem in our communities as nearly 30 states have introduced legislation to drug test for welfare programs,” Hudson said. “We have a moral obligation to equip the states with the tools they need to discourage the use of illegal drugs.”
Most of the state legislation was authored by Republicans. Oftentimes, state Democrats responded by suggesting lawmakers should be subject to tests as well. If the government’s going to make sure recipients of taxpayer-funded benefits are clean, the argument went, then why not also make sure the recipients of taxpayer salaries are clean, too?
In June, Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) made that very suggestion when he questioned why recipients of crop insurance and other government benefits weren’t also targeted for drug tests like people on food stamps.
“Why don’t we drug test all the members of Congress here,” McGovern said shortly before the drug-testing measure passed. “Force everybody to go urinate in a cup or see whether or not anybody is on drugs? Maybe that will explain why some of these amendments are coming up or why some of the votes are turning out the way they are.”
The fate of the food stamp drug testing provision is in the hands of a House-Senate conference committee hashing out differences between food stamp and farm legislation that passed the two chambers. It’s got a chance. Last year, Congress passed a law to let states drug-test some unemployment insurance recipients.
Radel apologized Tuesday for his cocaine bust and said he’d seek treatment.
“I struggle with the disease of alcoholism, and this led to an extremely irresponsible choice,” he said.

Like Lamont Hill said this asshole had no problem taking food out of the mouths of you and your children. He has no problem denying you food because you used medical marijuana to save your life and now that you've come up positive for drugs you are cut off from food stamps. A program you need to feed yourself and your family. This prick asks for love and compassion when it comes to him but he has no problem imposing draconian measures on the rest of us. Grayson the disgrace
Controversial Democrat Alan Grayson has set off a flurry of criticism from conservatives after the Florida congressman sent out a fundraising email to supporters in which he compared the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan.
Grayson’s original comments came during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Politics Nation with Al Sharpton.” Grayson was discussing the tea party’s influence on the Republican Party when he said, “At this point, the tea party is no more popular than the Klan.”
And rather than shy away from that comment, Grayson included them in bold letters on his website with the quote taking readers directly to a fundraising page for Grayson’s re-election campaign.
Grayson’s fundraising page includes the image of a burning cross; it uses the cross as the letter “T” and spells out “tea party” in flaming letters:
"As a black Tea Party activist, I could say that there's nothing more offensive than equating the Tea Party with the Ku Klux Klan,” Jennifer Burke, National Outreach Director for TheTeaParty.net said in a statement emailed to Yahoo News. “The hate speech uttered by sitting congressman Alan Grayson is deplorable, even by the low levels reached in recent years when Democrats routinely call us racists and suicide bombers."
Grayson’s comments were also criticized by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
There’s no excuse for the hateful words and imagery used by Congressman Grayson,” NRCC spokesman Matt Gorman said in a statement. “House Democrats should swiftly and strongly condemn him and return the money he has raised for them. This hate-filled rhetoric has Americans fed up with Washington.”
Grayson is no stranger to controversy. First elected to Congress in 2008, he regularly was an outspoken critic of Republicans and conservatives in general. He was voted out of office after his first term, and many observers expected him to take a role as an activist outside of government. However, Grayson was re-elected in 2012 and is considered a strong favorite for re-election in 2014.
Despite the criticism over his KKK comparison, Grayson has stood by his comments and subsequent fundraising effort. He pointed to offensive comments and signage that appeared at past tea party rallies to justify his own comments.
“Tea Party members have circulated countless altered pictures depicting President Obama and the First Lady as monkeys. Tea Party members also called my fellow Member of Congress, civil rights hero John Lewis, a ‘n***ger,’ and Rep. Barney Frank a ‘faggot,’” Grayson said in a statement. “One could go on and on, because there is overwhelming evidence that the Tea Party is the home of bigotry and discrimination in America today, just as the KKK was for an earlier generation. If the shoe fits, wear it.”
