Let's force Harry Reid to vote on Audit the Fed

By taking action today, you and I can ruin the New Year for Harry Reid, the banksters, crony capitalists, and other statists who benefit from continued Federal Reserve secrecy.

This Monday, the Senate will vote on Janet Yellen’s nomination to be the next Federal Reserve Chair.

Reid initially planned to hold the final vote before Christmas.

But that was before Campaign for Liberty members turned up the heat on the Senate, demanding that senators vote no on Yellen until Reid held a roll call vote on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill (S. 209).

So instead, Reid sent the Senate home for a two-week Christmas "recess," hoping the heat would simmer down over the holidays so wavering senators would feel free to confirm Yellen.

But now we must crank up the heat higher than ever!

So please call your senators today and tell them to vote NO on all votes to confirm Yellen until Harry Reid holds an up or down vote on Audit the Fed.

The December 20th roll call vote on cloture for the Yellen nomination is available at CampaignForLiberty.org so you can see if your senators sided with the nearly 75% of Americans who support Audit the Fed . . .

. . . or with the banksters, special interests, and big spenders who don’t want you knowing how they benefit from the Fed's inflation and bailouts at your expense.

If your senators sided with the American people, tell them to keep it up by voting NO on Yellen's confirmation until we get our Audit the Fed vote.

But if your senators voted with the banksters, Wall Street special interests, and the big spenders who do not want a spotlight turned on the Fed's polices, urge them to stand with the nearly 75% of Americans who support Audit the Fed by voting against Yellen's confirmation until Harry Reid schedules a vote on S. 209.

Already, we have come further in our efforts to get Reid to hold a vote on Audit the Fed than would have been possible only a few short years ago.

Remember, the only reason Reid was able to get cloture on Janet Yellen's nomination before leaving for Christmas was through his blatant violation of the Senate rules requiring 60 votes to cut off debate on nominations.

In fact, while 59 senators voted for cloture on Yellen, this is far fewer than the historically low 77 who voted for cloture on President Obama's renomination of "Helicopter Ben" Bernanke in 2010.

So if we can convince only 10 senators to change sides, we can block Yellen's confirmation until Harry Reid finally allows a vote on Audit the Fed!

And though Reid insisted in December he would not allow the Senate to adjourn until they voted to confirm Yellen . . .

. . . C4L flooded the Senate with petitions, and Campaign for Liberty members like you bombarded the Senate with phone calls, forcing Reid to postpone the final vote until January 6.

Harry Reid may think he bought time for the heat to simmer down by delaying the vote until right after the holidays.

But you and I can prove him wrong . . .
