I’m growing more and more concerned the white-hot fight over gun control in Congress last fall was merely side-tracked by impeachment.
And the really troubling part is it may have given the anti-gun statists a strategic advantage to renew their all-out assault on our Second Amendment freedoms in Congress ahead of the November elections.
You see, the gun grabbers knew a major showdown over impeachment -- hot on the heels of Red Flag Gun Confiscation -- would only deplete our ability to thwart their gun control schemes.

All it will take is some madman shooting up a “gun-free” zone and those same politicians will be clamoring to cut a “deal” and grant Big Government statists BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL powers to:
- Seize law-abiding Americans’ firearms -- with ZERO DUE PROCESS -- through so-called “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation Orders; and
- Create a Nationwide Gun Registration -- aka “Universal Background Checks”. . . to hand Government Goons the names and firearms of every single gun owner in the country.
My friend, do you think it can’t happen where you live?

The majority of the Dems favor marijuana legalization. Unfortunately they also favor feminism,homosexism,affirmative action and gun control. It is the last one that we are tackling today. Mexico has some of the very harshest gun control laws on the books. How has that worked to the advantage of the average Mexican citizen ? It hasn't. There are only two armed factions in Mexico. The federales and local law enforcement along with other government agents on one side (all corrupt)and the armed drug cartels and other criminal organizations on the other. The people are defenseless and at the mercy of a corrupt government and/or the criminal gangs. Is that what you want for America ? If so you are alone. On the other hand if you value America then stand up to the liberal gun control goons and stand with Ron Paul and Campaign For Liberty in defeating them.

Before he leaves office Obama wants to take away your guns

Even with all of the Orwellian madness you and I are seeing today, the statists know achieving the authoritarian utopia they crave depends on finally wiping out the last roadblock standing in their way...
That's the American people's right to keep and bear arms.
Now, with President Obama's time in the White House winding down, I'm afraid the threat of a federal "NO GUN LIST" is growing bigger by the day.
Should President Obama get his way, law-abiding American patriots could find themselves stripped of their Second Amendment rights -- with ZERO recourse.
And just like you and I have seen with government debt, ObamaCare funding, and defending the out-of-control Federal Reserve, I'm afraid BOTH parties will be on the deal!
That's why I'm counting on you to please sign your NO GUN CONTROL petitions IMMEDIATELY.
As you'll see, these petitions draw a line in the sand, insisting that your U.S. Representative and Senators vote "NO!" on any gun control scheme that reaches the floor of Congress.
The truth is, even before last December's shootings in San Bernardino, California (which government spying failed to prevent -- yet again!), President Obama was already claiming gun control would be the "central issue" of his remaining year in office.
Shortly after -- seemingly out of nowhere -- BOTH parties began rallying for a so-called "NO GUN LIST."
Under this gun control scheme, any law-abiding American citizen the federal government places on the federal "No-Fly List" could suddenly lose their Second Amendment rights with no due process as guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment!
Since this list is secret, it would leave citizens with effectively zero legal recourse if targeted by a rogue Attorney General.
Worse, I'm afraid it's no accident.
I'm afraid -- during this critical election year -- members of BOTH parties are anxious to tell the anti-gun national media they "did something" about gun violence and terrorism all at the same time.
Even as you and I see the Middle East burning under ISIS, BOTH parties will never admit the horrific failure of their failed policies.
Instead, their answer is to come after even more of our freedom once again!
Frankly, I'm sick of watching Washington, D.C., blame the liberty of law-abiding Americans for their own Big Government failures.
And it makes my stomach churn to imagine what could happen if our federal government were ever to gain the illicit power of a federal "No-Gun" list.
Any American an administration identifies as a "problem citizen" could easily become a secret target.
That could be just because the government doesn't like the political candidates you support, the church you attend, or the limited government beliefs you hold.
Remember that Missouri Information and Analysis Center (MIAC) document -- an affiliate of the Department of Homeland Security -- that warned about citizens who displayed the Gadsden flag or supported my candidacy for President?
Well, just last year, our federal government issued a warning that stated that these citizens pose a threat "equal to -- and in some cases greater than -- the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention."
Already, the federal "No-Fly List" is infamous for mistakenly including the names of Members of Congress, conservative editorialists, folk musicians, Department of Homeland Security employees and even toddlers.
That's bad enough.
But you and I both know that should our federal government gain this power, the "NO GUN LIST" would be used to target anyone who dares stand up to the statists' authoritarian dreams for the country!
With support of key members of BOTH parties, President Obama could just get the votes he needs to RAM this gun control scheme into law!
That's why Campaign for Liberty staff is preparing an all-out mobilization campaign to FIGHT BACK.

Rand Paul wants get rid of gun control in Washington DC

I don’t think Americans should not be living in fear.
Citizens should not be forfeiting their liberty to the government under the false impression that that is the only way to remain safe.
It’s not. We have options.
I have introduced new legislation in the Defend Our Capital Act of 2015 that will allow American citizens to keep themselves safe -- and therefore keep this country safer.
This bill would remove existing restrictive firearm ownership laws in the District of Columbia, and require the District of Columbia to issue and grant reciprocity for concealed weapons permits for both residents and non-residents.
It’s a true embrace of the 2nd Amendment.
For too long the Americans who live in and visit their nation’s capital have been prevented from defending themselves and their loved ones. No longer should our citizens have to choose between safety or visiting Washington, D.C.
This legislation will immediately improve the security of our country and the safety of those visiting the Capitol by:
Requiring the District of Columbia to begin issuing concealed weapons permits for both residents and non-residents.
Allowing for national reciprocity of conceal and carry weapons permits between states and for carry by active duty military.
Allowing for the carrying of firearms on public, non-sensitive areas of federal property.
Allowing for the purchase of firearms across state lines.
It is not the time to expand the role of government and further crush the individual liberties of the private citizen.
Now is the time to stand strong for the security of our country and make certain that protections are in place to make sure what happened in Paris does not happen here in America.

A setback but not a loss
From The National Association For Gun Rights:
Earlier today, on the vote to proceed to debate on President Obama’s anti-gun agenda, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid succeeded in overcoming Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster.
And 13 NRA "A Rated" Republicans and 9 "A Rated" Democrats voted to help him do it (Plus 2 more NRA "B Rated" politicians).
I’m going to give you a list of these wolves in sheep’s clothing shortly, but our job now is crystal clear -- let these turncoats know that any gun control that passes now is their fault.

*** The so-called “Toomey-Manchin” Universal “Background Check” (NATIONAL GUN REGISTRATION) Bill, which was actually written by Chuck Schumer (D-NY). The S.649 language itself -- even apart from all of these amendments -- includes ATF Witch Hunt provisions designed to terrorize gun owners.
With Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid now calling the shots after invoking cloture on Senator Paul’s heroic filibuster of the motion to proceed, he holds all of the cards as far as timing.
If a vote becomes imminent, rest assured I will alert you IMMEDIATELY.
But there’s one thing I can assure you.
If you and I are going to hold off this madness, we’re going to have to fight back like never before.
It won’t be easy. I believe we can.
But the truth is, all of these assaults could have been turned back this morning.

And if you and I are going to retain any semblance of freedom in this country, the LIES politicians and any group that covers for them tell are going to have to be exposed for what they are.

The good news is, this fight is far from over.
If filibustered, each amendment will have to receive 60 votes to pass.
Then the legislation will have to overcome the 60-vote threshold to proceed to final passage through the Senate.
Perhaps the greatest danger is an insider-cooked "grand deal" that will include some token pro-gun “sweetener” -- a minor protection or fake step forward on gun rights to make it easier for supposedly “pro-gun” Democrats and weak-kneed Republicans to sell to their constituents -- wrapped around BIG gun control changes.
An example would be a mental health protection for veterans.
Another (bad) idea is a national concealed-carry reciprocity law, handing our federal government control over state concealed-carry laws.
President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder want more say over who can’t buy guns.
And they want more names of those who do, so they can set the stage for what every gun owner fears . . .

Earlier today, on the vote to proceed to debate on President Obama’s anti-gun agenda, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid succeeded in overcoming Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster.
