Defeat the Internet Sales Tax

From The National League of Taxpayers:

I’m back in D.C. and ready to do everything in my power to stop the Internet Sales Tax ambush.

But I can’t do it alone.

Organizations like the National League of Taxpayers play a critical role in defeating bad legislation.

That’s why I was excited to hear about their plan to generate a groundswell of grassroots opposition against the Internet Sales Tax.

But they need your help to make it happen.

They’ve set a goal to raise $20,000 by Monday to fund this critical program.

I hope you will help them reach this goal.

Whether you can give $30, $20, or $10, you help will make a difference.

For freedom,

Congressman Steve Stockman

Obamacare reminder

From The National League Of Taxpayers:

Going into the next three months, you and I must not let the American people forget the disastrous reality of ObamaCare.

Widespread canceled coverage.

Massive premium hikes for lower quality coverage.

Employers laying off hundreds of employees, or moving full-time employees to part-time work to escape the heavy burden of ObamaCare.

The Obama Administration knows how politically toxic ObamaCare has become.

That’s why they’ve been trying to bury it with the constant rule changes and delays until after the November elections, in an attempt to give his vulnerable tax-and-spend cronies in Congress some cover.

In fact, even prominent apologists for the president are reaching their breaking point.

Inspired by the endless exemptions Barack Obama keeps conjuring up, the National Journal’s Ron Fournier recently wrote a column titled, “Why I’m Getting Sick of Defending Obamacare.”

And even Kirsten Powers, another prominent pro-Obama apologist, reacted with an “amen, brother.”

Obama’s latest unilateral decree is a two-year delay on imposing the employer mandate on businesses that employ between 50 and 99 people.

This employer mandate will, of course, create a financial incentive for employers to fire current workers and decide against hiring new ones, so they can stay below 99 employees -- but conveniently for Democratic Senators running this fall, not until after the elections.

In fact, even Fournier recognizes the game that Obama is playing.

“Not coincidentally,” he writes, “the delays punt implementation beyond congressional elections in November.”

The fact is, Obama knows that despite the cancellations and job loss we’ve suffered so far, America hasn’t seen anything yet.

The full implementation of all ObamaCare’s expensive, job-killing mandates will be an even bigger disaster, so he wants to delay it until after the coming election, to try and protect his buddies that voted for it.

Obama fears that invoking the anger of concerned taxpayers like you will ensure that ObamaCare’s supporters feel the heat, especially during this election cycle.

That is why between now and November, you and I must do everything possible to keep ObamaCare fresh in the minds of voters, and remember the tax-and-spend members of Congress who voted for it in the first place.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. If you have not already signed your “Repeal ObamaCare” petition, click here to do so right away.

And if you can, I hope you will make a special contribution to expand the reach of our “Repeal ObamaCare” campaign. We receive no government funding.

Obama tries to silence the National League of Taxpayers

From The National League of Taxpayers:

A knock at my door.

Standing there will be IRS "auditors" demanding I turn over the name and address of EVERY National League of Taxpayer member and supporter.

And if I dare to refuse?

We will face outrageous fines that would cripple the National League of Taxpayers during this all-important 2014 election year and force us to shut our doors . . .

I wish this were all just a joke. I wish this was just some political horror story from some third-world dictatorship.

But other organizations have seen this kind of thing in recent weeks.

And I’m afraid the National League of Taxpayers will be one of Obama’s IRS’s next targets.

So I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action.

As you’ll see, I’ve created a special National League of Taxpayers Supporter's Directive.

Won’t you please fill it out IMMEDIATELY?

There’s not a moment to waste.

This is just the next step in President Obama’s all-out WAR on anyone who dares to stand up and FIGHT BACK against his radical agenda.

I know you’ve heard of the outrageous targeting of Tea Party and pro-limited government organizations from President Obama’s IRS ahead of the 2012 election year.

Sadly, that’s FAR from the end of it . . .

For years, the National League of Taxpayers’ members have been in the forefront in the battle to ensure tax-and-spend big government politicians are held accountable.

After all, virtually all politicians CLAIM to be “fiscal conservatives!” Or for “cutting waste!”

But today, our nation is swamped in $17.5 TRILLION in debt due to Washington, D.C.’s out-of-control spending!

So just months ago, President Obama’s IRS concocted outrageous and ultimately unconstitutional new rules threatening the National League of Taxpayers with audits and harassment if we DARED to publish:

“Communications that are made within 60 days of a general election (or within 30 days of a primary election) and clearly identify a candidate or political party.”

Can you imagine how much worse off our national fiscal situation would be if tax-and-spend politicians had no fear of being called out for their votes to RAM through more radical big government boondoggles like ObamaCare?

Fortunately, good folks like you from all over the country stood up and beat back this new IRS rule -- at least for now.

But now Obama’s henchmen at the IRS have come up with a new scheme.

If court action by NLT and other organizations prevail as the courts rule unconstitutional President Obama’s IRS's attempts to stop us from holding their puppet candidates accountable, they’ll just go right after our organization’s contributors!

I’m afraid that’s why the IRS has already gone after other organizations' lists of supporters.

It’s so they can harass and intimidate anyone from even thinking about opposing President Obama’s radical policies or his puppet candidates ever again!

I can hardly put into words how serious this is -- or what horrific ramifications this could have if you and I don’t fight back . . .

That’s why I’ve made the promise to protect the name of every individual contributor and supporter at all cost.

There’s just too much that could go wrong!

Fortunately, both federal law and case law back my position . . .

In fact, I have no doubt that ultimately the courts will rule the IRS’s demands blatantly unconstitutional.

But for President Obama and his ilk at the IRS, I believe this has less to do with winning in Courts than silencing groups like NLT before the Congressional election in November 2014 and the presidential election in November 2016.

After all, court challenges can take years!

And any resources I devote to legal fights these next few years will mean we’ll have fewer resources to devote to holding tax-and-spend politicians accountable this critical election year. Today, that’s really what this is all about.

It’s about crippling and silencing the National League of Taxpayers during this all-important 2014 election year.

After all, President Obama knows the political winds are blowing against tax-and-spenders this election year.

And he will do whatever it takes to hold onto every last bit of power he can!

So I have a decision to make -- a decision I just can’t make today without your direction.

Here are my options . . .

OPTION #1: Do I just write off the November 2014 elections and focus all of the National League of Taxpayers’ resources on the legal fight -- which is probably exactly what President Obama wants;

-- OR --

OPTION #2: I’m not sure I could ever look myself in the mirror again if I did this, but do I just go back on my word and give in to the IRS and turn over individual NLT contributors’ and supporters’ names in order to keep our pre-election mobilization programs going;

--OR --

OPTION #3: Do I make the decision to go ahead and FIGHT back everywhere -- all while knowing I’ll need a massive and IMMEDIATE influx of resources or I could be paving the way for utter DISASTER.

Of course, I know what the right choice is.

But the reality is I can’t fight everywhere without your commitment and generosity today.

That’s why I must ask you to please fill out your National League of Taxpayers Supporter's Directive IMMEDIATELY.

And if the choice you make is OPTION #3, please agree to your most generous contribution right away.

Some people have already given as much as $500.

Others have sent $50 or $100, but no matter how much you give, whether it's chipping in with $10 or a larger contribution of $150, I guarantee your contribution is urgently needed and will be deeply appreciated.

This could not be more serious. Every American citizen who values their freedom has a HUGE stake in this fight.

So please at least consider $50.

And if that’s just too much, please agree to $25 or at least $10 right away.

I'm counting on your action today, and I’m anxiously waiting on you to tell me how to proceed.

I’m afraid time is short. So please act at once.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. Other pro-limited government organizations have seen it.

It's only a matter of time before your National League of Taxpayers receives a trumped up demand from the IRS to hand over our member and supporter list -- or face outrageous fines or even imprisonment.

This is nothing more than another outrageous Obama administration scheme designed to cripple the National League of Taxpayers and other groups before the 2014 and 2016 elections and force us to shut our doors.

So I must ask for your IMMEDIATE direction.

Please fill out your National League of Taxpayers Supporter's Directive and agree to chip in with a contribution of $10 or whatever you can afford IMMEDIATELY!

Defeat the Internet Tax Mandate aka The Marketplace Fairness Act

From the National League of Taxpayers:

They are on the attack again.

And this time, members of both parties are the problem.

Of course, the only thing big-government politicians love more than spending your money is taking away more of it.

Are you prepared to pay taxes to use online services like Google, Facebook, Ebay or Netflix?

How about surrendering even more money to help finance ObamaCare?

If your answer is a resounding NO, then please keep reading.

President Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and unfortunately even a number of Republicans are looking at a new source of "revenue" through the Internet Sales Tax.

Of course, when tax-and-spend politicians introduce controversial legislation, they make sure to give it a name that'll be more receptive to taxpayers.

That's why they're calling it the "Marketplace Fairness Act" in an attempt to hide its obvious implications from you.

But make no mistake. Nothing about this big-government boondoggle is "fair."

You see, the Internet Sales Tax would hand the Federal Government massive new controls over state tax policies and set the stage for government at all levels to tax, regulate and track every transaction you make on the Internet.

The Internet Sales Tax would also create an online regulatory nightmare that will wreak havoc on businesses by forcing them to comply with 50 separate tax codes.

That's why it's critical you sign the petition DEMANDING my colleagues in the House and Senate vote "NO" on the Internet Sales Tax.

I'll give you a link in just a moment, but first, let me explain exactly what's at stake.

Tax-and-spend politicians are foaming at the mouth fantasizing about new spending programs they can create by using additional taxpayer dollars.

Today, instead of finding ways to cut spending and reduce taxes to get our economy going again, members of both parties are moving to squeeze even more money from the American people

Money that they intend to use in their efforts to fund and create more government programs like ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion.

The last thing we need is more taxes for the purpose of implementing more government.

That's why it's so critical you sign your No Internet Sales Tax petition.

And after you sign your petition, please chip in with $10, $15, or more to help fight back against the Internet Sales Tax right away.

The Internet is one of the greatest inventions of our time – and it's one of the last marketplaces where individuals can purchase goods and services with limited government intrusion.

That's why I hope you will help today in keeping the Internet as free from government interference as much as possible.

You see, under the Internet Sales Tax:

*** Obama's Federal Government will use the IRS to force online retailers to pay for their new revenue scheme, all while raising costs for consumers.
*** Tax collectors in one state will have the backing of the Federal Government and the IRS to pursue retailers across state lines.
*** Many of your favorite sites will be flooded out of business due to a tidal wave of new and higher taxes and regulations that threaten the Internet as we know it.

We should be lowering taxes, Ray. Not raising them.

But that will not happen unless I receive your support.

Will you stand by while Obama's IRS and big-government politicians in both parties continue to dig their hands in your pocket?

Or will you sign your No Internet Sales Tax petition telling your Congressman and Senators ENOUGH is ENOUGH?

And after you sign, please consider sending your maximum contribution of $100, $500, or $35 to help me mobilize Americans in our fight against the Internet Sales Tax.

If we don't stop the Internet Sales Tax scheme, every consumer in the country will feel the crippling effects as Congress takes a massive chunk out of American prosperity.

Your support will help alert hundreds of thousands of Americans on the nature of this battle, all while putting pressure on my counterparts in the House and Senate, demanding they vote NO on the Internet Sales Tax.

That's why your support is crucial.

This won't be easy.

But your support is what we need to win.

Please act IMMEDIATELY.

Sincerely,

Steve Stockman
United States Congressman

P.S.are you prepared to pay taxes to use online services like Google, Facebook, Ebay or Netflix?

How about surrendering even more money to help finance ObamaCare?

If your answer is a resounding NO, then please sign your No Internet Sales Tax petition right away.

And after you sign your petition, please consider chipping in $100, $50, or $35 to help mobilize Americans in our fight against the Internet Sales Tax.

Support the Balanced Budget Amendment

From The National League of Taxpayers:

Have you read Senator Rand Paul's email below?

President Obama and his big-spending allies in Congress continue to show their lack of fiscal responsibility as our debt soars past the $17 TRILLION mark.

Federal entitlement costs are out of control. Unemployment is in the double-digits. Yet Congress STILL refuses to balance the budget.

That's why it's critical you sign your Balanced Budget Amendment Petition to your Senators and Congressman, urging them to vote against more spending.

And Ray, if you can afford to chip in a contribution of even $10, it will help your National League of Taxpayers mobilize support for a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Of course, if you can afford to contribute $25, $50, or even $100 or more, I hope you will.

And if you have already signed the petition, please forward this email to friends and family by clicking here.

If we don't stop Congress' reckless spending now, they will always continue to vote for the next bailout, the next tax increase, and the next debt ceiling raise.

Please sign your petition and chip in whatever you can afford.

Let's force Congress to start making serious cuts.

Help support the Balanced Budget Amendment

From the National League of Taxpayers:

Your petitions are making a difference!

Thanks to you and other National League of Taxpayers members, you and I have reached more than 40 cosponsors on H.J. Res. 5 and S.J. Res. 7, a tough Balanced Budget Amendment that would not only require a balanced budget, but also require a two-thirds vote to raise taxes.

But now, you and I must take it to the next level.

My ultimate goal is to force a vote on the Balanced Budget Amendment to put tax-and-spend politicians in Washington on record for or against fiscal sanity.

To do that, you and I must add on as many cosponsors as possible to show House and Senate leadership that you and I are serious about forcing a vote.

You see, one of two things will happen.

We either pass a Balanced Budget Amendment and force tax-and-spend politicians to live within our means.

Or a whole round of tax-and-spend politicians will go down to defeat in the November elections.

Either way, you and I win.

So please, if you haven't already signed your petitions to Balance the Budget, please do so at once.

If you have, please forward this message to a friend, to help us add a tidal wave of cosponsors to help force a vote on the Balanced Budget Amendment.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. If you haven't yet signed your Balanced Budget Amendment petitions, please do so at once.

After signing, I hope you'll also chip in with a sacrificial contribution to help me identify and mobilize additional taxpayers.

Stop the IRS from prohibiting free speech

From The National League of Taxpayers:

We don't have much time, so I need you to act quickly.

The Obama administration is gearing up to leverage the power of the IRS to introduce a new regulation which will SHUT DOWN free speech.

IRS [Regulation IR-2013-92] will subject your National League of Taxpayers to IRS audits and harassment if we publish:

Communications that are made within 60 days of a general election (or within 30 days of a primary election)and clearly identify a candidate or political party.

[IRS Regulation IR-2013-92]

In other words: No public scrutiny by organized citizen groups before an election -- which would prevent me from communicating with you during election season.

And in less than two weeks, your chance to comment on these new regulations will end.

That's why it's critical you make your voice heard and sign your Taxpayer Freedom of Speech Petition right away.

We will flood the IRS office with you and your fellow NLT supporters petitions, letting them know you oppose this unconstitutional attempt to silence free speech.

As you know, the National League of Taxpayers will expose the voting record of tax-hiking politicians who try and keep you in the dark.

If this new IRS regulation goes into effect,I could go to jail simply for communicating to you the voting record of tax-and-spend politicians.

That's why it's critical you make your voice heard before the comment period ends on February 27.

Our national debt is already over $17 trillion with no sign of slowing down.

In fact, just last week Congress voted to raise the debt ceiling - again.

Now more than ever we must continue to make politicians feel the heat and remind them come election time they WILL pay a price if they vote to raise our taxes.

I'm not going to back down from this fight, but I need to know you are with me.

Please sign your Taxpayer Freedom of Speech Petition right away.

And after you sign, please make an emergency contribution of $10, $25, $50, or whatever you can afford to help us collect more petitions and fight back against Obama's IRS.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. The grass-roots pressure you generate is the key to teaching waffling politicians that there are political consequences to piling tax dollars onto the national debt.

We can't let Obama use the IRS to shelter himself and his tax-and-spend allies from criticism during the election season.

Please return your Taxpayer Freedom of Speech Petition, and chip in $100, $50, $25 or whatever you can afford.

Tell Obama not to raise the debt ceiling

From the National League Of Taxpayers:

Seventeen trillion. It’s a ticking time bomb.

As I write you today, that's how much taxpayers are on the line for to feed the tax-and-spend addiction of lawmakers in Washington.

But how would you feel if I told you that all we're doing is whittling away at the interest that our national debt is accruing?

In the last fiscal year we've accrued more than 395.8 billion dollars in additional debt in interest alone.

And that's with an artificially low effective interest rate of 2.4%.

But what is President Obama’s solution to this growing behemoth?

Raise the debt ceiling so we can afford to make our interest payments.

I don't know about you, but I've never found that raising my credit limit just to pay my interest has ever worked long-term when handling my own debt.

But for tax-and-spend lawmakers the prospect of raising the debt ceiling to pile onto our already sky high debt seems to make them almost giddy.

Under the Obama administration, Congress has already raised the debt ceiling SEVEN times.

And now they want to go for eight.

And for what? So we can continue racking up massive amounts of debt for the ever-expanding government programs?

So we can tax our way into oblivion?

That's why it is so important that we hold the line against any new debt ceiling increase.

So if you haven’t signed your “Just Say No” Petition, please do so here.

If you have, I ask you to please forward this email to a friend.

If tax-and-spend politicians can't just continue raising the debt ceiling every time they run out of funds, it would force them to live within their means.

Congress would only be able to spend what it took in.

And that doesn't sound like such a bad thing to us.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. Historically, the interest rate on the federal debt has been at least double the effective 2.4% interest rate, around 5-6%.

And you can expect that we'll be returning to that number, if not passing it.

While an increase of a few percentage points might not initially seem like that much, take a 17 trillion dollar price tag, and you're looking at raising the yearly interest rate from a “mere” $395 billion to a TRILLION dollars in interest payments every year.

Please sign your petition by clicking here.

Tell Congress to ease up on the spending

From the National League of Taxpayers:

Have you read Congressman Steve Stockman’s email below?

Votes on the debt ceiling are coming up on February 7.

President Obama and his big-spending allies in Congress have shown their lack of fiscal responsibility as our debt hits the $17 TRILLION mark.

Federal entitlement costs are out of control. Unemployment is in the double-digits.

That's why it's critical you sign your "Just Say No" Petition to your Senators and Congressman, urging them to vote against more spending.

And if you have already signed the petition, please forward this email to friends and family by clicking here.

If we don't reverse course soon, the consequences will be disastrous.

Gary Paumen

Congressman Steve Stockman

Today, the feds run 79 different welfare programs, 160 programs for housing assistance, 47 for job training, 82 for teacher quality, 80 for transportation assistance, and 56 for financial education.

In return for all that, we still have an official poverty rate of 15 percent.

Yet Barack Obama and his big-spending pals keep binging.

Now, with votes on the debt ceiling coming up in a matter of weeks, it’s vital that, if you haven’t already done so, you immediately sign your “Just Say No” Petition to your Congressman and Senators, which I'll link to in a moment.

The only way to force them to confront the debt head on is by making sure they know the American people won’t stand for more debt.

That’s why it’s vital that you click below to sign your “Just Say No” Debt Ceiling Petition to your Congressman and Senators.

The fact is, President Obama and his big spending buddies in Washington, D.C. have been piling on to our national debt every day, and show no signs of slowing down.

They’ve been spending money we don’t have for so long, some economists are beginning to question not if the U.S. will ultimately have to declare bankruptcy, but when.

If we don’t reverse course soon, the consequences will be disastrous.

You see, as I write you today:

*** The deficit this year is projected at $642 billion with more than $6 trillion added to our debt since 2008;
*** Social Security has already begun to run in the red;
*** The real unemployment rate is more than 14 percent with millions more workers relegated to part time work;
*** Medicare is ultimately destined to totally run out of money while private insurance rates are skyrocketing.

That’s why I hope you’ll sign a special “Just Say No” Petition to reject President Obama's new debt ceiling increase.

The fact is, the $17 trillion national debt we hear so much about is just the tip of the iceberg.

When the government’s unfunded liabilities for Medicare, Social Security, and federal employees’ retirement benefits are counted, America is really on the hook for over $86.8 trillion.

Of course, just as they falsely claimed about the so-called “sequestration of funds” last year, President Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi will say a vote to stop a debt ceiling hike would be an economic Armageddon.

But the fact is, the federal government can still spend $6.7 billion per day without raising the debt ceiling one penny.

Of course, the “solution” to our ongoing fiscal disaster put forward by President Obama and his tax-and-spend allies is to tax ourselves out of the hole.

That’s why it’s vital you sign your “Just Say No” Petition.

And why in addition to that, it’s vital that you help my friends at the National League of Taxpayers with a special contribution.

The fact is, even though many Americans who receive this e-mail will sign the petition, many won’t be able to contribute.

That’s why it’s vital you give $10, $25, $50, $100, or even more if you can.

Your special gift of $35 or even $100 or $500 will ultimately save taxpayers literally billions of dollars in the years to come.

Your donations will help the National League of Taxpayers organize:

***Extensive internet, direct mail, and telephone campaigns to generate at least one million petitions and questionnaires to Congress like the ones that accompany my letter;

***Extensive personal lobbying of key Members of Congress by rank and file National League of Taxpayers members and staff;

***Hard-hitting TV, radio, and newspaper ads to be run in targeted states and districts, mobilizing the American people and detailing the dangers of our soaring debt.

Your donation will help the National League of Taxpayers mobilize up to 10 million Americans and generate a tidal wave of opposition to raising the debt ceiling.

So after clicking here to sign your “Just Say No” Debt Ceiling petition, please help with a contribution of at least $25 or $35.

Some people have already given as much as $500.

Others have sent $50 or $100, but no matter how much you give, whether it’s chipping in with $10 or a larger contribution of $150, I guarantee your contribution is urgently needed and will be deeply appreciated.

The national debt is such an out-of-control behemoth that if we keep on raising the debt ceiling, we will be putting America on a path of permanent decline.

With your help, we can stem the tide of Big Government and stop Barack Obama and his tax-and-spend pals from spending us into oblivion.

Sincerely,
Congressman Steve Stockman
Steve Stockman
United States Congressman

P.S. Federal entitlement costs are out of control while our national debt is skyrocketing.

So please sign your “Just Say No” Debt Ceiling Petition which the National League of Taxpayers has prepared for your Congressman and Senators.

And please send a generous contribution of $100, $75, $50, or $35 to help serve a mandate on the politicians.

Put pressure on to repeal Obamacare

From The National League of Taxpayers:

With so much deception from the administration, it's hard to pinpoint which lie is Obama's biggest:

"If you like your health care plan, you can keep it."

"If you like your doctor, you'll be able to keep your doctor. Period."

"We're gonna work with your employers to lower your premiums."

These bold-face lies are telling signs of what's to come from ObamaCare.

The fact is millions of Americans are losing their health insurance by the hour.

Premiums are skyrocketing. Coverage is being canceled on the spot.

Already, an estimated 4.5 million Americans have had their individual health insurance policies terminated.

Like Deborah Fishericks.

Fishericks is battling kidney cancer and thanks to her employer-provided insurance, she had a sense of comfort knowing she had affordable healthcare she could depend on.

Then, her coverage was canceled.

All thanks to the escalating prices, fees and regulations under ObamaCare.

When looking at ObamaCare's alternatives, she says, "They just go up higher and higher when there is a pre-existing [condition]," she said. "There's so many unanswered questions."

Debra Fishericks's story is one out of millions of Americans wanting answers while fighting to get by with every nickel and dime they can spare.

And it's going to get worse.

According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), 156 million Americans have health insurance through employer-provided coverage.

But when the temporary waivers are lifted (after next November's election) an estimated 50-100 million of those Americans will see their coverage terminated -- like Debra Fishericks.

It's simply unacceptable.

That's why this year we must fight to force the votes to either repeal ObamaCare completely -- or at least expose vulnerable politicians as the tax-and-spend elitists they are.

So please click here to sign your "Repeal Obamacare" petition and then forward this email on to a friend.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. Millions of Americans are losing their employer-provided health insurance by the hour because of ObamaCare.

Obamacare navigators exposed

From The National League Of Taxpayers:

As if the whole idea of ObamaCare wasn’t a disaster on its face, now we see a problem with ObamaCare’s so-called “navigators.”

Recent undercover videos have caught “navigators” in Texas advising people to lie about their health and income in order to get the biggest taxpayer-funded subsidy possible.

“Don’t tell ‘em” that you smoke, a navigator says. “You lie because your premiums will be higher.”

When asked about unreported cash income, another suggests, “Don’t get yourself in trouble by declaring it now [. . .] Because that’s how they determine what your eligibility is for the grants.”

Another navigator chimes in, “Yeah, that didn’t happen,” and yet another agrees: “Never report it.”

Then at a separate Texas location, more navigators gave the same tips. One in particular summarized the whole message:

“I would just try to get that number as low as you can. It would help you qualify for more stuff as far as aid and stuff like that.”

So far, over 67 million dollars have gone to navigators nationwide.

But the fact is, even if everyone involved in ObamaCare were the salt of the earth, they would still be navigating people toward . . . well, ObamaCare.

Ultimately, ObamaCare is a web of sky-high prices, outlawed insurance, and regulations that will destroy jobs and take medical decisions away from patients and their doctors.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

Sign the Balance the Budget Amendment

From The National League Of Taxpayers:

What kind of future will you have?

What kind of future will your kids, your grandkids, your nieces, and your nephews have?

These are serious questions facing not only you but all of us in Congress.

You see, as I write you today:

*** The deficit this year is projected at $642 billion with more than $6 trillion added to our debt since 2008;

*** Social Security has already begun to run in the red;

*** The real unemployment rate today is more than 14 percent with millions more workers relegated to part-time work;

*** Medicare is ultimately destined to totally run out of money while private insurance rates are skyrocketing.
The fact is, the $16 trillion national debt we hear so much about is just the tip of the iceberg.

When the government's unfunded liabilities for Medicare, Social Security, and federal employees' retirement benefits are counted, American taxpayers are really on the hook for over $86.8 trillion.

The fact is, President Obama and my big spending colleagues in Washington, D.C. have been piling on to our national debt every day, and show no signs of slowing down.

They've been spending money we don't have for so long, some economists are beginning to question not if the U.S. will ultimately have to declare bankruptcy, but when.

If we don't reverse course soon, the consequences will be disastrous.

That's why it's so important you help build a tidal wave of popular support for a long-term solution by supporting a constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget while limiting the growth of taxes and spending.

And why, to deal with our immediate debt crisis, I hope you'll sign the special "Just Say No" Petition below to reject the next debt ceiling increase scheduled to come up in just 9 weeks.

With your help, the National League of Taxpayers plans to generate a tidal wave of petitions to my colleagues.

Of course, just as they falsely claimed about the so-called "sequestration of funds" earlier this year, President Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi will say a vote to stop a debt ceiling hike will be an economic Armageddon.

But the fact is, the federal government can still spend $6.7 billion per day without raising the debt ceiling one penny.

Of course, the "solution" to our ongoing fiscal disaster put forward by President Obama and his tax-and-spend allies is to tax ourselves out of the hole.

The fact is, we can immediately achieve hundreds of billions in savings by:

*** Abolishing the boondoggle Departments of Education, Energy, Commerce, and Housing and Urban Development;

*** Repealing the monstrously expensive ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank financial regulation law;

*** Transitioning Medicaid and food stamps back to the states where they belong and cutting back on the $37 billion spent on foreign aid.

Today, the feds run 79 different welfare programs, 160 programs for housing assistance, 47 for job training, 82 for teacher quality, 80 for transportation assistance, and 56 for financial education.

In return for all that, we still have an official poverty rate of 15 percent.

Yet Barack Obama and his liberal pals keep binging.

Now, with votes on the debt ceiling coming up in a matter of weeks, it's vital that in addition to signing up to show your support for a tough Balanced Budget Amendment, you also sign your "Just Say No" Petition to your Congressman and Senators.

The only way to force them to confront the debt head-on is by making sure they know the American people won't stand for inaction.

That's why it's vital that you click here to sign your "Just Say No" Debt Ceiling Petition to your Senators and Congressman.

And for a long-term solution, also return your Declaration of Support for Senate Joint Resolution 7 and House Joint Resolution 5, a tough Balanced Budget Amendment I have cosponsored along with 44 of my Senate colleagues.

This Amendment would not only require a balanced budget but would require a two-thirds vote by both houses of Congress to raise taxes, and a three-fifths vote to raise the debt ceiling.

As President Reagan so forcefully said, "no nation on earth has taxed itself into prosperity."

That's why I hope you will sign both your "Just Say No" Debt Ceiling Petition and your Balanced Budget Declaration of Support at once.

And why, in addition to that, it's vital that you help my friends at the National League of Taxpayers with a special contribution.

The fact is, even though many Americans who receive this e-mail will sign the petition, many won't be able to contribute.

That's why it's vital you give $10, $25, $50, $100, or even more if you can.

Your special gift of $35 or even $100 or $500 will ultimately save taxpayers literally billions of dollars in the years to come.

You should also know that a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, so there isn't a better time to give.

Your donations will help the National League of Taxpayers organize:

*** Extensive internet, direct mail, and telephone campaigns to generate at least one million petitions and questionnaires to Congress like the ones that accompany my letter;

*** Extensive personal lobbying of key Members of Congress by rank and file National League of Taxpayers members and staff;

*** Hard-hitting TV, radio, and newspaper ads to be run in targeted states and districts, mobilizing the American people and detailing the dangers of our soaring debt.

Your donation will help the National League of Taxpayers reach up to 10 million Americans and generate a tidal wave of opposition to raising the debt ceiling while building long-term support for a Balanced Budget Amendment.

So after clicking here to complete your Balanced Budget Amendment Declaration and sign your "Just Say No" Debt Ceiling Petition, please help with a contribution of at least $25 or $35.

Some people have already given as much as $500.

Others have sent $50 or $100, but no matter how much you give, whether it's chipping in with $10 or a larger contribution of $150, I guarantee your contribution is urgently needed and will be deeply appreciated.

And don't forget that a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, no matter the amount.

The national debt is such an out-of-control behemoth that if we again raise the debt ceiling, it will threaten to put America on a path of permanent decline.

With your help, we can stem the tide of Big Government and stop Barack Obama and his liberal pals from spending us into oblivion.

Sincerely,

Steve Stockman
United States Congressman

P.S. Federal entitlement costs are out-of-control while our national debt is skyrocketing.

So please fill out your Balanced Budget Amendment Declaration of Support and sign your "Just Say No" Debt Ceiling Petition which the National League of Taxpayers has prepared for your Congressman and Senators.

And also, to serve a mandate on my colleagues, take advantage of the special matching grant and send a generous contribution of $100, $75, $50, or $35 at once.

Remember, a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, so there isn't a better time to give.

With the next debt ceiling fight coming up in January, it's vital the Congress face a tidal wave of petitions when they get back, so please click here.

A couple of ways to repeal obamacare

From The National League of Taxpayers:

Hold on to your wallet!

As you know, in 2010 Barack Obama succeeded in shoving through Congress a government-imposed health care system which will require massive new taxes and further balloon the national debt.

That's why I hope you'll sign your emergency petition below to force a Senate vote to repeal ObamaCare right away.

It's vital that you do so at once.

You see, most of my Democrat counterparts in the Senate are running scared.

So just forcing a Senate vote on ObamaCare is a win/win situation.

Either my colleagues and I repeal ObamaCare, or . . .

. . . another group of big-government tax-and-spenders goes down to defeat in the next election.

That’s why President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are feverishly defending it.

But unless you and other opponents of ObamaCare join together, this bureaucratic monstrosity will irreparably damage our health care system and bankrupt America’s taxpayers and small businesses.

Of course, Obama and his ilk originally promised ObamaCare would cost $900 billion. Now the Congressional Budget Office projects it to be twice as expensive, to the tune of $1.8 trillion of your taxpayer dollars.

It takes a lot of government bureaucrats to spend $1.8 trillion.

So many, in fact, that the Congressional Research Service says it’s “impossible” to estimate “the exact number of new organizations and advisory bodies that will ultimately be created” by ObamaCare.

And considering it hasn’t even been fully implemented yet, I fully expect that number to increase, especially as Obama’s minions at the IRS continue to unroll new bureaucratic red tape and regulations.

Our country is already well over $16 trillion in debt.

Before long, the already burdened American taxpayer will be forced to dig even deeper to pay for President Obama's program.

But that’s just the beginning.

The costs to comply will be huge.

Many businesses are already being forced to postpone planned expansion, drop employee health coverage, cut other forms of compensation, or lay off workers.

Some might not survive at all.

And under ObamaCare’s so-called “individual mandate,” government bureaucrats will be able to force you and me to buy expensive health insurance plans we don’t want.

Plans that include coverage for things that, for many people, don’t even apply to them, such as maternity care (even if they don’t have children), and substance abuse treatment (even if they’ve never touched drugs and alcohol).

But worst of all, under the government exchanges being mandated under ObamaCare, not only will they say what will be covered, they’ll also say what won’t.

Under ObamaCare, bureaucrats will be making your medical decisions on what will be paid for instead of you and your doctor.

We already know how government-run medicine works. In other countries, we’ve seen it end with disaster again and again.

As American taxpayers, you and I must ask ourselves the following:

*** Do we want to follow the "lead" of our northern neighbor, Canada, where a human patient has to wait two years for hip replacement surgery, while his dog can have it in 3 days?

*** Do we want to become like Great Britain and have our wives and mothers wait for over two months before receiving a follow-up exam after testing positive on a pap smear?

*** Do we want the kind of health care they have in Sweden where the wait for an ordinary diagnostic heart x-ray can take up to eleven months?

*** Do we want to pull our own teeth, like Jeff Miners from Brega, Australia, who languished on government dental waiting lists while his teeth rotted away?
The fact is, there will be no fixing of ObamaCare. It’s too big and too complicated.

Which is why I’m hoping you’ll click here to sign your petition telling your U.S. Senators to do whatever is necessary to force a vote to repeal ObamaCare outright.

The House of Representatives, of course, has already voted to repeal ObamaCare.

Now, if enough Americans get behind repeal with their signed petitions, you can send a clear message to the Senate, that the American people will settle for nothing less than full repeal.

Senators will be spurred to action, and ObamaCare’s backers will either think twice about risking their careers for a politically-toxic law, or be held accountable for their actions when they run for re-election.

That’s why it’s vital that you click here to sign your petition to your U.S. Senators at once.

And why, in addition to that, it’s vital that you help my friends at the National League of Taxpayers with a special contribution.

The fact is, even though many Americans who receive this email will sign the petition, many won't be able to contribute. That's why it's vital you give $10, $25, $50, $100, or even more if you can.

Your special gift of $35 or even $100 or $500 could ultimately save taxpayers millions of dollars in the years to come.

You should also know that a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, so there isn't a better time to give.

Your donations will help the National League of Taxpayers to organize:

••• An extensive internet, direct mail, and telephone campaign to generate at least one million petitions to Congress like the one accompanying this letter.

••• Extensive personal lobbying of key Members of Congress by rank and file National League of Taxpayers members and staff.

••• Hard-hitting TV, radio and newspaper ads to be run in targeted states and districts, detailing the disasters of ObamaCare and mobilizing the American people.
So after clicking here to sign your petition, please help with a contribution of at least $25 or $35.

Some people have already given as much as $500. Others have given $50 and $100.

But no matter how much you give, whether it's chipping in with $10 or a larger contribution of $150, I guarantee your contribution is urgently needed and will be deeply appreciated.

And don't forget that a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, no matter the amount.

ObamaCare is bad medicine Americans can't afford.

Bad for patients, doctors, small businesses and employees.

With your help, we can stem the tide of Big Government and stop Obama's government-run health care scheme from becoming a reality.

Sincerely,

Steve Stockman
United States Congressman

P.S. Medical and insurance costs continue to skyrocket while our national debt continues to hit the roof.

As you know, the Senate will be the key.

That’s why it’s so vital that you sign your petition right away.

And after doing that, please send your generous contribution of $100, $75, $50, or $35 to take advantage of a special matching grant and help force a final roll call vote in the Senate.

Remember, a generous supporter has agreed to match your contribution, dollar-for-dollar, so there isn't a better time to give.

Repeal Obamacare

From The National League of Taxpayers:

President Obama and his big-spending pals in Washington have been piling on to our national debt with every passing day.

And they’re sparing no expense when it comes to the massive federal-government boondoggle known as ObamaCare.

Obama’s signature healthcare law is already costing the American Taxpayer BILLIONS of dollars.

Businesses across the country have been forced to scale back employee hours, or worse, cut them off completely from their payroll.

You see, American businesses are preparing for the tidal wave of taxes and regulations inside the ObamaCare monsoon.

Higher premiums; canceled coverage; lower quality healthcare . . .the list goes on.

Everyday another story surfaces on the plagues ObamaCare promises to bring.

I’m usually a "glass half full" kind of guy. But there’s nothing positive about a glass filled with endless debt and failure -- all funded on the taxpayers dime.

Plain and simple, the Obama Administration did not plan and prepare for one of the most important aspects of the President’s signature "accomplishment."

And once again our bloated federal government has proven they're incapable to oversee this massive and unprecedented expansion of power.

The fight to get rid of ObamaCare is far from over.

And through your support, the National League of Taxpayers is able to fight against this radical agenda every step of the way.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. You and I have an opportunity.

Thanks to the government shutdown battles, we know specifically which Members of Congress to target, since we saw how the chips fell this last round.

If you and I generate enough pressure, lawmakers will hold the line against Obama and his big-government allies in Washington during the next ObamaCare fight.

Or they'll be learning a lesson in the power of angry voters next election.

If you have not already signed your "Repeal ObamaCare" petition, click here to do so right away.

No to debt ceiling increases

From the National League of Taxpayers:

Obama says he’s happy.

And the mainstream media may be crowing about Obama’s “victory,” but I wouldn’t pull out the bubbly just yet if I were them.

Because the debt ceiling and continuing resolution fights are just getting started.

The fact is, 2/3 of House Republicans voted against the deal, despite the heavy pressure from the media.

And even 40% of Senate Republicans stood firm.

That’s why, if you have not already done so, I’m counting on you to sign your emergency “Just Say No to Debt Ceiling Increases” Petition, which I’ll link to in a moment.

The fact is, the day of reckoning for Congress is just around the corner.

All Congress did was kick the can down the road until January 15, when they’ll have to take up talks on the debt ceiling and the budget again.

And when they do, we must be ready to go all out.

The last vote bought us three more months in which to double down the pressure on targeted Members of Congress.

To get the deal they did, the White House had to rely on all the Democrats who voted, plus a fraction of Republicans.

That leaves us with our work cut out for us before the January 15 deadline.

Now you and I must force Republicans to hold the line.

It’s vital that we generate a tidal wave of petitions between now and January 15 to demand that our lawmakers refuse to cave.

Thanks to the most recent battles, we know specifically which Members of Congress to target, since we saw how the chips fell this last round.

And if you and I generate enough pressure, lawmakers will have to hold the line against Obama’s next debt ceiling increase.

Or they’ll be facing a round of angry voters next election.

So please, click here immediately to sign your “Just Say No” Petition to help me lay a mandate on Congress.

And after signing, if you can, I also hope you'll chip in with a contribution to help us expand the reach of our "Just Say No" campaign.

Sincerely,

Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers

P.S. Please click here to sign your "Just Say No" Petition to pressure Members of Congress to hold the line against the next debt ceiling increase.

And if you can, I hope you’ll also chip in with a generous contribution to help me mobilize more.
