From The National Right To Work Committee:
Big Labor knows what's at stake.
Since the reelection of Barack Obama in 2012, the union bosses are more emboldened than ever. They enjoy unprecedented access to the White House and control over the federal bureaucracy.
Many of the forced-dues power grabs they were unable to ram through Congress have been achieved through bureaucratic fiat; while at the same time forced-dues advocates like Harry Reid have so-far blocked a vote on our National Right to Work Act time and time again.
But the union bosses and their allies know the political winds are changing.
With Indiana and Michigan becoming the 23rd and 24th Right to Work States, Big Labor has seen their stranglehold weaken.
And make no mistake, the union bosses will do everything in their power to push back.
With Obama as President and Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader, you can be all but certain Big Labor will go after those who oppose forced unionism.
The good news is you and I can fight back against Big Labor’s forced-dues leviathan.
Time is short -- so it's vital you act today.
You see, as it stands, the National Right to Work Act has 103 cosponsors in the House and 16 in the Senate.
But that simply isn’t enough.
That’s why your Committee’s state and national staffs have been working tirelessly on a Cosponsor Push plan to generate the massive grassroots pressure we’ll need to add an additional 24 cosponsors.
This tidal wave of grassroots pressure will allow us to expose the union bosses’ puppet politicians and their stranglehold on American workers.
This plan will allow us to contact the three out of four Americans who think it’s just plain wrong to force workers to pay tribute to union officials as a condition of employment.
And this effort will allow us to tell Americans just how much of Big Labor’s cash -- seized from workers’ paychecks -- is funneled backdoor into buying elections for Big Labors pet candidates.
But none of that will matter if we cannot raise the funds necessary to fully put our plan into action.
My staff has calculated that it will take at least an additional $150,000 to fully implement the Committee's plan of attack.
In order to put this plan into action, however, the National Right to Work Committee must raise every penny of it by December 17.
And I’m counting on you to help reach our goal.
But before you decide, please understand what’s at stake.
Federal law permits big Labor to confiscate over $9 BILLION from American workers every year just to keep a job.
And in return, Big Labor’s political machine spends billions of that money into electing pro-forced-dues politicians who will bow down to the union bosses’ demands.
Right now, union bosses and their cronies in Washington are mapping out the 2014 election cycle -- pinpointing the states and districts they want to control.
They have vowed to use their forced-dues warchest to maintain their iron grip of the Senate and keep a democrat in the White House, while most Members of Congress cringe in fear.
That’s why it’s vital you be a part of this historic effort urging your Senators and Congressman to cosponsor this piece of legislation.
This grassroots effort will allow us to force a recorded vote in the Senate and know just which Senators actually oppose Big Labor’s stranglehold on American workers.
The union bosses believe their forced-dues billions could make the difference in these races -- and I'm afraid they may be right unless you act today.
The good news is your Committee’s four-part Cosponsor Push plan can derail Big Labor’s scheme. With 100% funding, the Committee's plan will:
*** Contact directly by mail and email up to 15 million opponents of forced unionism to urge them they contact their Senators and demand they vote to end forced-unionism;
*** Run newspaper and TV ads, like the one attached, coast to coast, exposing Big Labor’s cronies to the nearly 80% of Americans who oppose forced unionism;
*** Personally brief hundreds of favorable columnists, radio talk show hosts and editorial writers nationwide who can help mobilize public opinion; and
*** Facebook, Google and internet ads, designed to target specific zip codes and households to really turn up the heat.
But none of it will be possible if the National Right to Work Committee does not raise the funds in time to get 24 new cosponsors added to the National Right to Work Act.
You and I both know from experience that Right to Work supporters can make the difference this year and beat back the forced-dues assault of the Big Labor bosses.
But not without the help of good folks like you.
We must raise at least an additional $150,000 to fully implement our plan.
That’s why I hope you'll agree to give your most generous contribution of $25, if possible today.
If $25 is simply too much to ask, then I hope you'll consider a contribution of $15 or $10.
I'm afraid if I don't receive an immediate influx of financial support, I won't be able to implement this aggressive plan to beat back the union bosses’ assault.
Please don't wait to give your contribution. The Committee must have your donation by December 17 in order to properly budget expenses for this Cosponsor Push.
If that doesn't happen, our battleplan to get the National Right to Work Act on the Senate floor for a vote could end up stale.
That means Big Labor’s forced-dues BILLIONS may just allow the union bosses’ hand-picked candidates to gain steam and put a screeching halt to all the work we’ve put in to freeing American workers.
That’s why it’s vital you chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $10 today.
If you and I can mobilize Right to Work supporters across the country to turn up the heat on the politicians to cosponsor a National Right to Work Act, we can derail Big Labor’s forced-dues agenda.
But this may not happen without your help.
So please give your most generous contribution RIGHT AWAY by clicking here.
Funds the Committee receives now will determine how much of our program can be put into action.
My best staffers have estimated it will take at least an additional $150,000 to maximize effectiveness.
And we must have it by December 17. After that it could be too late to book hard-hitting ad spots or mail millions of informative letters.
Can you make a commitment right now, to help us get a vote on the National Right to Work Act?
Since most Americans agree with you and me that forced unionism is wrong, we can derail Big Labor's election schemes if you help me sound the alarm on time.
Our ads will run in targeted States all across the country if funds permit, to shine the spotlight of public opinion on Big Labor’s puppet politicians.
So please, I urge you to chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $10 to help put the Committee’s plan into action.
Big Labor’s schemes are funded by coercion dictated by the political elite and special interests.
They've wrung millions in forced-dues from their captive membership.
And unless brave Americans like you stand up to them and give generously right now, Big Labor will steamroll through future elections, supporting their big-government cronies, unopposed.
With Obama in the midst of his final term, and control of the U.S. Senate up for grabs, I am counting on you to once again join in this fight.
Election Day is just weeks away. Please act IMMEDIATELY.
Sincerely,
Mark Mix
