The slowdown was so big it was impossible to ignore. Several members of Congress tweeted about how their phones were ringing off the hook, and we dominated the mainstream news headlines. More than 40,000 websites took part, including many of the most popular sites in the world, and at the peak of the day, there were more than 1,000 phone calls to congress every minute!
This changes everything. Victory is more tangible now than ever before. But we still need to bring it home. Now that we’ve shown our strength, the giant Cable companies that are lobbying tooth and nail to destroy net neutrality will redouble their efforts, and work every connection they have to keep the public’s voice from being heard in Washington, DC.
There’s only one solution: we have to fight even harder, and grow our movement even larger, and we have to be ready to battle for the net for the long haul.

Public Advocate prevails over rainbow mafia

I have good news to share with you!
The Homosexual Lobby's attack on my livelihood as a humble public servant has been thrown out of court.
They have been plotting to remove me from office for several years now because of my work as President of Public Advocate.
Liberals cannot stand seeing a pro-Family advocate serving in a public position.
They tell themselves that the majority of Americans support the radical Homosexual Agenda.
So when I stand in front of the news cameras and speak publicly without fear of repercussion -- well it just drive them nuts!
Their most recent effort petitioned a judge to have me fired because of my outspoken defense of real marriage.
Fortunately, their attempts to use the Southern Poverty Law Center's (SPLC) misclassification of Public Advocate as a "Hate Group" failed miserably.
You see, the SPLC added your Public Advocate to their infamous Hate Map over two years ago for our efforts to defend real marriage.
However, my lawyers subpoenaed the SPLC to justify -- for the first time -- how they prove a group is a "hate group."
And they were exposed for their baseless accusation.
Because the truth is, there is no impartial basis for their "Hate List."
The SPLC targets any group that disagrees with their radical Leftist agenda.
Through it all, I refused to back down to the liberal threats.
And just this week, the independent investigator and the judge both agreed that the charges were groundless and dismissed the case.

Good news from the National Right To Work Committee
From the Right To Work Committee:
I knew I could count on you to stand up to the Obama Labor Board.
Monday, April 7 was the last day to submit comments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) regarding its proposed ambush elections scheme.
You sent a loud and clear message that concerned citizens like you who are paying attention to this behind-the-scenes "rule-making" oppose the union-boss power grab.
I submitted a petition against the proposed rules signed by approximately 60,000 Right to Work supporters.
Not only that, I estimate that at least a third -- if not half -- of all the thousands of additional comments submitted to the NLRB came from Right to Work supporters like you.
Your National Right to Work Foundation also submitted formal comments of its own, and Foundation staff attorney William Messenger argued against the rule change at the NLRB's public hearing on Friday.
Make no mistake, these changes to union certification election rules are a major part of Big Labor's "Plan B" to sneak through the bureaucratic backdoor what they haven't been able to push through Congress, like the Card Check Forced Unionism Bill.
The NLRB's proposed rules make union organizing campaigns even more one-sided and stifle the rights of employees who may oppose unionization in their workplace.
If the rules are implemented, union operatives will be able to ambush workers with quick-snap elections just days after union organizers turn in "union authorization cards" from a mere 30 percent of the workforce.
And to make it even easier for union operatives to steamroll their way into workplaces, the new rules would force companies to hand over to union organizers the name, address, phone number, email address, and shift schedule of each employee, exposing workers to "home visits" and other intimidation tactics.
The new rules would allow them to withdraw their petition but save the personal contact information of each worker for a full-scale "card check" campaign at a later date.
With your continued support, the National Right to Work Foundation will continue fighting back against ambush elections, card check, and whatever forced-unionism schemes the Obama Labor Boards cooks up next.
The Obama Labor Board's all-out assault on individual workers isn't over and may only intensify in the final years of the Obama presidency.

Watt's nomination goes down in flames

Yesterday, after C4L members flooded the Senate with phone calls, Harry Reid failed to get cloture to bring the nomination of Mel Watt to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency to the Senate floor!
As you know, Watt was a major promoter of the polices that helped lead to the collapse of the housing market in 2008, and he has been a vocal opponent of Audit the Fed, even working to water down and kill the bill.
Watt’s defeat was a major victory considering that, just hours before the vote, I was told by a Capitol Hill insider that powerful lobbyists were pulling out all the stops to get Watt confirmed!
But thanks to you and your fellow members’ efforts, Reid couldn’t muster the votes to bring the nomination to the floor.
This is a historic victory, because sitting members of Congress breeze through confirmation, especially if they have spent their careers carrying water for the powerful housing and banking lobbies.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP leadership, realizing the tidal wave of grassroots opposition, held firm in the face of Wall Street lobbyists and special interests who were pushing this nomination, and only two Republicans (Burr, from Watt’s state of North Carolina, and Portman of Ohio) voted to move the nomination forward.
But Harry Reid pulled a last-minute procedural maneuver so he can try again later to pass Watt’s nomination — and you can bet President Obama and his allies on Wall Street are twisting arms to get the votes to enable Mel Watt to inflate another housing bubble, so we must stay vigilant.
The same special interests supporting Watt are also going all out to rush Federal Reserve Chair nominee Janet Yellen through the Senate and stop our attempts to Audit the Fed.
Though we beat them yesterday, the fight to Audit the Fed won’t be easy.

Some updates, and a request: The House passed CISPA, but that's as far as the bill will go, at least in its present, privacy-obliterating form:

We played a huge part in this, with Demand Progress members sending more that 200,000 emails to Congress in opposition to CISPA.
But the fight isn't over yet. There's a good chance the Senate will take up some sort of cyber security legislation later this year -- but we've cultivated strong relationships with several senators who really do care about privacy rights, so we'll have real standing there when the time comes. And, of course, we won't hesitate to ask you to weigh in.
And as a reminder for those of you who missed the successful conclusion of our week of action earlier this month: We told you about that frightening new proposal that actually would have expanded and harshened the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act -- the law that makes it a potential federal crime to violate a website's fine-print terms of service agreement.
We asked you to help us stop it in its tracks.

It required a mad (exhausting) fury of activism and lobbying, but it looks like we've won this battle.
This rally capped off a couple of weeks of activism in opposition to that expansion proposal and in support of CFAA reform -- which included 150,000 or so emails to Congress, thousands of tweets and phone calls, and a dozen meetings on Capitol Hill with key Congressional offices.
As the Huffington Post reported:
Internet activists won a major victory this week when House Republicans put the brakes on an effort to vote on reforms to federal anti-hacking laws. The reforms had become a legislative flashpoint in the wake of the death of Aaron Swartz, an Internet activist who was facing a bevy of charges under the controversial Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) before committing suicide in January.
So as you can see, our work together is having a concrete impact. The ground has shifted in our favor, on the CFAA, CISPA, and on Internet freedom in general.
We shocked the political establishment by responding to the new CFAA proposal so quickly, and we have ever-growing credibility and clout with policymakers and the media as we make our case about these issues that we all hold so dear.
But we'll of course need to keep pressing forward. We still want to achieve positive reform of the CFAA. We still need to watchdog the Senate as they consider taking up cyber security legislation of their own. We're expecting movement in the Net Neutrality fight in coming months.
And we'll keep working to defend our civil liberties more broadly, as reactionaries try to exploit fear to constrain our freedom and undermine constitutional protections.

Good news from Campaign For Liberty
From Campaign For Liberty:
As I've mentioned to you previously, Campaign for Liberty is growing fast and making great strides to advance freedom. To show you just a few of these success stories, I've had Campaign for Liberty staff contact our state coordinators for updates on some of the battles they've been fighting and some of their victories.
You'll be pleased to know that C4L supporters are having tremendous success, and our state groups are adding new members every day.
Reports are still coming in, but below is an overview of some of Campaign for Liberty supporters' recent successes.
MASSACHUSETTS
Leah Cole, a nurse and young supporter of yours, won the March 5 Special Primary Election for the Massachusetts General Court.
Leah now has an excellent opportunity to win the General Election on April 2nd and head to Beacon Hill.
As I'm sure you recall, your supporters won a number of Massachusetts' National Convention delegates, and even though your campaign has ended, they clearly haven't stopped fighting for liberty.
NORTH CAROLINA
Campaign for Liberty supporters in North Carolina have been busy fighting two major battles this year.
The first battle was to stop the Medicaid expansion called for under ObamaCare.
Last year, former Democrat Governor Bev Perdue accepted federal grant money in exchange for setting up a state and federal Medicaid exchange program.
But North Carolinians elected Republican Pat McCrory in November.
McCrory didn't speak out about Medicaid expansion on his campaign, so Campaign for Liberty supporters immediately began using email, faxes, petitions, and postcards to mobilize on this issue.
After some back and forth about whether ObamaCare was the "law of the land," and a public exchange between the House Speaker and North Carolina C4L State Coordinator Adam Love, McCrory came out against the Medicaid expansion, and the State Legislature passed a bill to opt-out of the Medicaid expansion and a health insurance exchange.
Governor McCrory signed the bill into law.
A second fight has been waged against an effort by the NFL's Carolina Panthers to secure a taxpayer subsidy to renovate Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Panthers originally asked for $62.5 million in taxpayer money - paid for by an increase in Charlotte's Prepared Food and Beverage Tax.
Campaign for Liberty supporters sent emails and made phone calls to the North Carolina House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tem urging them not to hike taxes to fund the Panther's renovation.
Not long after, Governor McCrory issued a statement saying state money was a no-go, and State Representatives from the Charlotte area said tax hikes were off the table.
Instead, they put forward legislation to authorize the Charlotte City Council to re-purpose local tax money to the Panthers.
C4L supporters are currently fighting that bill.
DELAWARE
Since the year 2000, the Appoquinimink School District has literally gotten away with virtually any tax hike or spending increase they wanted. This year, the School District put forth a referendum to increase taxes.
The last time there was a referendum to hike taxes, it passed by a vote of 2,229 to 409.
But thanks to the hard work of C4L supporters, this year was different.
C4L state leaders ran pre-recorded phone calls to 7,300 targeted voters letting them know their property taxes were about to increase by $23 million - more than 24%.
A record 8,934 people showed up at the polls, and the tax hike was defeated 4,633 to 3,301.
GEORGIA
Charlie Gregory, Georgia State Coordinator for your Presidential Campaign, got elected to the State House and has been leading the fight for liberty in the General Assembly.
Despite threats and intimidation from the establishment, Charlie hasn't backed down and is fighting hard to protect liberty.
Because Representative Gregory voted against one of their gun-control schemes, I've been told the establishment is withholding funds from his district as "punishment" for opposing gun control.
The good news is, C4L supporter David Stover won a recent special election for State House in Georgia, so Charlie is no longer the lone voice fighting for constitutional government.
Georgia also held their Republican County Conventions last week to elect delegates to the upcoming District and State Conventions.
Numerous Campaign for Liberty supporters were elected as delegates to both the State and District Conventions, and many even got elected to positions within the Party.
Here's a brief summary of some of their successes.
In Coweta, the third largest GOP in the state, C4L dominated, taking both the Chair and the Vice Chair positions. In Warner Robbins (Houston County), the stronghold of the 8th District, C4L supporters won the majority of delegates.
In Fayette County, C4L folks swept all leadership positions within the County Party. In Bibb County, C4L folks made gains and got a resolution passed demanding passage of Charlie Gregory's HB 26 - the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act.
And in Dekalb, C4L supporters defeated a massive property tax increase.
IOWA
Friends of liberty have made tremendous strides in the "First in the Nation" state of Iowa in getting elected or reelected to major offices within the state Republican Party.
A former high-ranking officer of the Iowa GOP went on record talking about how many people "from the Campaign for Liberty" have taken over prominent positions, and that comment came before their latest election, when one of your supporters was elected as co-chair of the Iowa GOP!
Members of our movement now hold the chair, co-chair, Executive Director, Organization Director, and Finance Chair positions in the Iowa GOP.
MISSOURI
In Missouri - the largest caucus state in the nation - grassroots liberty activists mobilized and successfully elected an anti-establishment candidate as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, beating Senator Roy Blunt's hand-picked candidate.
NEVADA
In Nevada, liberty-minded Republicans gained control of the majority of the state and municipal party leadership.
MAINE
In Maine, Washington State, and many other states and localities across the country, the same holds true, as liberty-minded activists are getting elected to positions of party leadership.
OTHER STATES
Colorado C4L supporters fought hard and got protection from Indefinite Detention out of Committee, but, unfortunately, they lost by one vote on the floor. However, they have a great base to build on for future success on this issue.
In Maryland, C4L supporters defeated a red-light camera bill.
Conclusion
The American people are FED UP with the Big Government, big spending status quo in Washington.
Our liberty movement has never been so strong.
And Campaign for Liberty is just getting started.

Leah Cole, a nurse and young supporter of yours, won the March 5 Special Primary Election for the Massachusetts General Court.
Leah now has an excellent opportunity to win the General Election on April 2nd and head to Beacon Hill.
As I'm sure you recall, your supporters won a number of Massachusetts' National Convention delegates, and even though your campaign has ended, they clearly haven't stopped fighting for liberty.
NORTH CAROLINA
Campaign for Liberty supporters in North Carolina have been busy fighting two major battles this year.
The first battle was to stop the Medicaid expansion called for under ObamaCare.
Last year, former Democrat Governor Bev Perdue accepted federal grant money in exchange for setting up a state and federal Medicaid exchange program.
But North Carolinians elected Republican Pat McCrory in November.
McCrory didn't speak out about Medicaid expansion on his campaign, so Campaign for Liberty supporters immediately began using email, faxes, petitions, and postcards to mobilize on this issue.
After some back and forth about whether ObamaCare was the "law of the land," and a public exchange between the House Speaker and North Carolina C4L State Coordinator Adam Love, McCrory came out against the Medicaid expansion, and the State Legislature passed a bill to opt-out of the Medicaid expansion and a health insurance exchange.
Governor McCrory signed the bill into law.
A second fight has been waged against an effort by the NFL's Carolina Panthers to secure a taxpayer subsidy to renovate Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Panthers originally asked for $62.5 million in taxpayer money - paid for by an increase in Charlotte's Prepared Food and Beverage Tax.
Campaign for Liberty supporters sent emails and made phone calls to the North Carolina House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tem urging them not to hike taxes to fund the Panther's renovation.
Not long after, Governor McCrory issued a statement saying state money was a no-go, and State Representatives from the Charlotte area said tax hikes were off the table.
Instead, they put forward legislation to authorize the Charlotte City Council to re-purpose local tax money to the Panthers.
C4L supporters are currently fighting that bill.
DELAWARE
Since the year 2000, the Appoquinimink School District has literally gotten away with virtually any tax hike or spending increase they wanted. This year, the School District put forth a referendum to increase taxes.
The last time there was a referendum to hike taxes, it passed by a vote of 2,229 to 409.
But thanks to the hard work of C4L supporters, this year was different.
C4L state leaders ran pre-recorded phone calls to 7,300 targeted voters letting them know their property taxes were about to increase by $23 million - more than 24%.
A record 8,934 people showed up at the polls, and the tax hike was defeated 4,633 to 3,301.
GEORGIA
Charlie Gregory, Georgia State Coordinator for your Presidential Campaign, got elected to the State House and has been leading the fight for liberty in the General Assembly.
Despite threats and intimidation from the establishment, Charlie hasn't backed down and is fighting hard to protect liberty.
Because Representative Gregory voted against one of their gun-control schemes, I've been told the establishment is withholding funds from his district as "punishment" for opposing gun control.
The good news is, C4L supporter David Stover won a recent special election for State House in Georgia, so Charlie is no longer the lone voice fighting for constitutional government.
Georgia also held their Republican County Conventions last week to elect delegates to the upcoming District and State Conventions.
Numerous Campaign for Liberty supporters were elected as delegates to both the State and District Conventions, and many even got elected to positions within the Party.
Here's a brief summary of some of their successes.
In Coweta, the third largest GOP in the state, C4L dominated, taking both the Chair and the Vice Chair positions. In Warner Robbins (Houston County), the stronghold of the 8th District, C4L supporters won the majority of delegates.
In Fayette County, C4L folks swept all leadership positions within the County Party. In Bibb County, C4L folks made gains and got a resolution passed demanding passage of Charlie Gregory's HB 26 - the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act.
And in Dekalb, C4L supporters defeated a massive property tax increase.
IOWA
Friends of liberty have made tremendous strides in the "First in the Nation" state of Iowa in getting elected or reelected to major offices within the state Republican Party.
A former high-ranking officer of the Iowa GOP went on record talking about how many people "from the Campaign for Liberty" have taken over prominent positions, and that comment came before their latest election, when one of your supporters was elected as co-chair of the Iowa GOP!
Members of our movement now hold the chair, co-chair, Executive Director, Organization Director, and Finance Chair positions in the Iowa GOP.
MISSOURI
In Missouri - the largest caucus state in the nation - grassroots liberty activists mobilized and successfully elected an anti-establishment candidate as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, beating Senator Roy Blunt's hand-picked candidate.
NEVADA
In Nevada, liberty-minded Republicans gained control of the majority of the state and municipal party leadership.
MAINE
In Maine, Washington State, and many other states and localities across the country, the same holds true, as liberty-minded activists are getting elected to positions of party leadership.
OTHER STATES
Colorado C4L supporters fought hard and got protection from Indefinite Detention out of Committee, but, unfortunately, they lost by one vote on the floor. However, they have a great base to build on for future success on this issue.
In Maryland, C4L supporters defeated a red-light camera bill.
Conclusion
The American people are FED UP with the Big Government, big spending status quo in Washington.
Our liberty movement has never been so strong.
And Campaign for Liberty is just getting started.

Good news indeed. If the statists want somewhere to play their games look outside of the USA. Better yet they should just go to some deserted island somewhere.
