Campaign For Liberty celebrates its eighth anniversity
From Campaign For Liberty:
Did you see the recently-released list of pro-liberty groups targeted by former IRS official Lois Lerner?
Among the groups on the IRS’s “hit list” were Campaign for Liberty state groups from Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wyoming!
I hate to say it but this is hardly surprising.
Since our founding eight years ago, C4L has been repeatedly subjected to government harassment.
Just months after our founding, a taxpayer-funded “fusion center" released a report labeling Campaign for Liberty supporters as potential terrorists.
Our state leaders and activists have been subjected to persecution and intimidation from elected officials, bureaucrats, and their flunkies.
And the IRS even tried to force us to turn over the names and other personal information of some of our donors.
In one sense, this bullying and harassment of Campaign for Liberty is a compliment.
After all, if you and I weren’t effective in battle, statist politicians and bureaucrats would spend less time targeting us.
Of course, we refuse to give in to their tactics. Instead, every time some government agency or politician threatens us, our response is the same:
DOUBLE DOWN!
With Campaign for Liberty closer than ever to passing Audit the Fed, rolling back the Surveillance State, and stopping ObamaCare expansion and other state-level power grabs, we are more determined than ever to not cave in.
And I know you feel the same way.

Politicians say you don't care about the Federal Reserve. Prove them wrong

It's been a lonely journey at times.
For many years, the majority of my Congressional colleagues -- even other members of the House Committee on Financial Services -- could simply not understand why I devoted so much of my time and energy talking about the Federal Reserve.
"Ordinary Americans do not care about the Fed!" they'd scoff.
Then came the fall of 2008...
... The Fed-created housing bubble burst. The market collapsed. And the truth about the destructive power of the Fed was unleashed on millions of those "ordinary Americans."
It was the perfect storm.
And after the smoke and shock subsided, anger and a sense of betrayal predominated.
Americans realized the Fed was single-handedly responsible for the boom-bust cycle.
As a result, a record-number of Americans came to support auditing the Fed.
But I knew their personal support would not be enough, unless it was FELT by their representatives in Congress. And to achieve that, their demands had to RING OUT LOUDLY in the House and Senate.
That's where Campaign for Liberty comes in!
Fortunately, I'd just finished forming C4L for the exact purpose of mobilizing pro-liberty activists to put the heat on politicians.
And my staff and I agreed that passing Audit the Fed should be our #1 priority.
So for the past 8 years, C4L members have flooded Congress with petitions, faxes, emails, and phone calls insisting Congress stop dragging their feet and pass Audit the Fed.
Our success since 2008 has been nothing short of remarkable.
Not only has Audit the Fed twice passed the House of Representatives by an overwhelming majority, this January we came just seven votes shy of breaking Harry Reid's filibuster, passing the bill in the Senate, and sending it straight to President Obama's desk.

Hold politicians accountable

Audit The Fed is finally here

Audit the Fed is scheduled for a vote next Tuesday, January 12.
This is the best chance you and I’ve had yet to finally audit the Federal Reserve.
With this breaking news, Federal Reserve apologists are on high alert and are already working overtime to make sure you and I don't have the votes needed to succeed in the Senate.
They know Audit the Fed would EXPOSE the Fed's corruption and cronyism.
So, I've instructed my staff to double down.
I've developed a two-prong approach to counterpunch the Fed's army of lobbyists and derail their scheme to scare and intimidate senators into voting against Audit the Fed when they return next Monday.

Clinton media machine goes after Trey Gowdy
From Stop Hillary PAC:
Hillary is now directly attacking Rep. Trey Gowdy for forcing her to turn over her email server to the Justice Department...
From a Hillary Clinton campaign email yesterday:
"...the committee, led by Republican Representative Trey Gowdy is...a partisan witch-hunt designed to do political damage to Hillary in the run-up to the election."
Friend, Hillary is losing control, and Rep. Trey Gowdy is in grave political danger.
We don't have a moment to lose.
Here's the situation: As you know, Trey Gowdy and his committee were key in bringing Hillary's secret email server into the spotlight, and despite her best interests to control the story, Rep. Gowdy has managed to catch Hillary in her own lies.
Every explanation she's given for her bizarre email practices -- deleting 30,000 emails, using an unsecured private server, emailing top secret content -- has been proven demonstrably false.
And despite multiple requests to appear before the Select Committee on Benghazi for a fully transcribed, under oath interview, Hillary has refused!
After her refusal, the full weight of the Clinton machine is out to crush Rep. Gowdy.
In the last few days Hillary apologist and loyalist are relentlessly attacking Gowdy trying to discredit his investigation. Just look at these few examples:
>>> David Brock of the Pro-Hillary Super PAC is spending millions and accusing Gowdy of "politicizing" the Benghazi murders to "score partisan points.
>>> Democrats on the Benghazi Committee are using taxpayer dollars to attack Trey Gowdy calling his investigation a "politically motivated, $3.7 million fishing expedition."
>>> And Hillary defenders on the Committee have now turned their attacks towards Stop Hillary PAC -- and the almost one million supporters of Stop Hillary PAC -- attempting to intimidate and silence your voice and your support for Congressman Gowdy's good work.
Friend, in my experience as an elected official – for over ten years -- I know this…when your opponents attack you like this, it's time to Double Down!
The truth is, Hillary will do ANYTHING to avoid tough questioning and face accountability for her actions.
