Media blackout of Rand Paul

From Rand Paul 2016:

The Washington machine has really shown itself this time.

I will not be featured in tonight’s main debate.

In fact, I will not be participating in either of the debates tonight.

The media just wouldn't allow it.

Though the polls show me in a steady 5th place, ahead of Bush, Christie, and Kasich (who will be in the debate), they've decided they would rather choose winners and losers.

They don’t care what the voters want, they have their own agenda.

And that agenda seems to be shutting down my campaign.

Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised after watching the GOP establishment and the national media continuously attempt to slam the door on my dad's supporters in 2008 and 2012.

But I think you know by now, I’m not going to let them quiet this campaign without a fight, and I don’t think you will either.

Will you help show the establishment and the mainstream media that the liberty movement will not be silenced?

If you can contribute just $25 today to our Fight The Media Blackout moneybomb, we can send a big message.

We have a top tier campaign. Over 1,000 precinct captains in Iowa and a 500-membership leadership team in New Hampshire. We’ve proven time and time again that this campaign is here to stay.

Let’s show them one more time.

Stand with me today.

In Liberty,

Rand Paul

P.S. I have plans to discuss the important topics America needs to hear, debate or no debate. Stay tuned for more information about our social media townhall tonight.

I'm less than thrilled with this decision by Fox. I thought they had integrity. If this pisses you off like it pisses me
off then send Fox CEO Keith Murdoch an email at ceo@fox.com and tell him you are upset about the way Rand Paul was treated and that you expect better from them instead of this treatment.

Rand Paul is gearing up for the Iowa caucus

From Rand Paul 2016:

The end of the year is just days away and this is a critical deadline for us.

It’s the last fundraising deadline before the Iowa Caucus.

We have experts in the field in Iowa and I’m confident we can win the caucus, but I’m going to need your help to fund our efforts and make a big statement.

My team put together an end-of-year moneybomb to help get us through the next steps of this campaign. Please watch my video explaining it:

A big fundraising turnout this month is really critical to building momentum heading into 2016. I hope you can chip in and show the media we're in it to win it.

We know I am the only one willing to take on the status quo and stand up for liberty. We need to make sure our fight continues stronger than ever in 2016.

We can win this thing. We just need your help.

Your donation of any size will make a big difference.

In Liberty,

Rand Paul

A thank you from Rand Paul 2016

From Rand 2016:

Following Tuesday’s debate, we asked for your help to prove Rand won by contributing to our $200,000 moneybomb.

You came through! We made our goal!

I wanted to say a quick thank you. I’m so happy to tell Rand about the flood of support that followed his debate performance.

Rand has been fighting for the policies that matter most.

Opposing the big spending omnibus

Securing a vote on Audit the Fed for just a few weeks from now
Supporting legislation that strengthens American security by further screening for refugees from Jihadists countries
Pushing for stronger 2nd Amendment rights for Americans

And now we see, the American people are jumping on board with Rand.

That’s because conservative solutions really make sense. And they really work.

We're in this race to win it - and we will. Iowa and beyond.

I'm happy to Stand with Rand.

Will you continue to stand with us?

Help Rand Paul get on the ballot in all 50 states

From Rand Paul 2016:

$2 million.

It’s a lot of money.

But that’s what some of my opponents are budgeting for state filing fees, signature gathering and delegate recruitment to ensure their names get on the ballot in all 50 states!

Of course, I know they’d love to ensure my name never appears . . .

They’d love it if the ONE candidate’s name who’s committed to fighting for liberty and limited government never appeared as a choice before the American people!

That’s why I’m counting on you to help put my name on the ballot in all 50 states with your most generous contribution right away.

The good news is, while other candidates have to pay high-cost political pros to do this work for them because their stale Big Government messages don’t excite anyone, grassroots patriots all over the country are spending long hours volunteering for my campaign.

That means we should be able to complete this task for just a fraction of the cost of other campaigns.

Of course, we still have to come up with the resources to pay exorbitant state filing fees – which can be as much as $40,000 in South Carolina.

So my campaign has set a $750,000 goal for this critical project.

Sadly, we don't have much time.

But I know we can meet this challenge if every one of my supporters is willing to chip in even a little.

Would you agree to help by chipping in $2.00 or even $1.00 per state with a gift of $100 or $50.00?

Or, if that’s too much, would agree to $0.50 a state and give $25?

Any amount you can give– whether it’s $100 or more, or even $50, $25 or $10 – will make a tremendous difference.

Can I count on you right away?

Please help me reach our $750,000 goal!

Rand Paul wants to stop the left from confiscating your gun

From Rand Paul 2016:

To the national media and Big Government pals, the script is always the same.

Even before facts rolled in about yesterday's horrific shootings in San Bernardino, California that left 14 dead and 17 more wounded, Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama were loudly calling for new gun control schemes.

And the front page of at least one major newspaper this morning says I'm to blame for standing up to past anti-gun measures in Washington, D.C.!

They're exploiting the deaths of innocent Americans to further their plans to dismantle the 2nd Amendment, destroy conservatives, and as we saw today, attack faith and prayer. The victims are just another helpful talking point to the left.

All of this sickens me to the core.

The families of those who died or were wounded deserve more than this.

But all is fair in the liberal war against the Constitution.

And I know more is coming... I know those who try to twist every tragedy to push their Big Government, anti-gun political agenda are not going to give up.

They think our freedom is to blame for every bad that happens. And their proposed solution to every problem is more government -- more liberalism.

I'm not playing by their rules.

And those who are serious about restoring this country can't afford to either.

As we pray for those who lost loved ones yesterday, I'm afraid we must also brace for yesterday's attacks to be compounded with attacks on our liberty.

They've already started. And it's going to get worse.

Rand Paul calls for tighter scrutiny on admitting refugees

From Rand Paul 2016:

These past few weeks have been a huge wake-up call for Americans.

Not just because of the attacks in Paris, which made it clear we should have better policies on refugees, but also because it revealed a lot about my fellow Republican presidential candidates and their tendency to favor big government over individual liberty.

I’m the only one willing to stand up against the status quo -- against a growing government. That’s why they’re trying to silence me.

But I won’t let them drown us out and I know I can count on you to stand with me and make a big impression with my latest money bomb.

We need to raise $200,000 over this weekend to cover filing fees, grassroots efforts, and digital advertising leading up to the next GOP debate.

We know the media has been working to block our message this whole time. And now we know CNN was working directly with Hillary Clinton to smear me!

That was an actual headline that broke right before Thanksgiving: "EMAILS: CNN REPORTER COORDINATED WITH HILLARY AIDE TO SMEAR RAND PAUL . . ."

Official State Department emails revealed that a CNN reporter coordinated with Clinton staffer to launch social media attacks against me for daring to ask Secretary Clinton tough questions during the 2013 Benghazi hearing!

With the December 15 Republican Debate in Las Vegas rapidly approaching, I have to ask...

Is this a reporter concerned with uncovering critical news to bring to the American people? Or is this a partisan who's already in the tank for her Democrat candidate of choice?

We can't allow the media's shenanigans to silence us. We have to break through and take our message of liberty straight to the American people.

If you agree, will you please make your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or even $10 to my campaign's Money Bomb at once?

Let's show them all, conservative policies speak louder than back-room deals, insider emails, and big government by making a contribution for liberty on Black Friday or cyber Monday.

Will you stand with me today and send a big message to all the naysayers?

In liberty,

Rand Paul

Show your support for Rand Paul

From Rand Paul 2016:

The momentum continues to build for Rand!

The last GOP debate was a turning point. People saw that Rand was the only conservative on stage, and since then? He’s been proving it.

He’s introduced a bill to stop dangerous refugees from entering the country, defund welfare from unscrutinized refugees from jihadist countries, and a bill that would allow Americans in Washington, D.C. to own guns as the Second amendment intended.

The polls coming out lately are all positive. Here is the well-respected Reuters poll that is being shown on news channels across the country today.

According to this, Rand Paul passed Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush and moved into 4th place, just two points behind Marco Rubio.

And a new Iowa poll says the same thing - Rand is ahead of Bush, Fiorina, Christie, and Kasich.

Coming into December, this race is going to be a 5-person race. We need to make sure Rand stays in the Top 5.

We’re on the right track already. Rand is on an upward trend in every poll. We just need to keep this momentum going and we can with the help of committed supporters like you.

It turns out that standing for liberty and real conservative principles resonates with people. We’re all tired of the politicians going from talking point to talking point. We’re tired of reckless policies that send our sons and daughters to war. We know that the same old Washington isn’t working for us and we can count on Rand to change it.

Can we count on you to #StandwithRand as our momentum builds?

Marco Rubio is no conservative

From Rand Paul 2016:

The strategy of Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer and the Gang of 8 to support liberal immigration policies would make our country dramatically less safe. They seem to want to put American troops on the ground in the Middle East, but are unwilling to secure our borders here at home.

Rubio’s liberal immigration policies are bad for conservatives, bad for our country, and most importantly, bad for our nation’s security.

That is why Rand fought for an amendment that would’ve allowed Congress to have more oversight on immigration and further scrutinize those allowed in the country to keep America safer. Marco Rubio blocked this amendment, and other conservative amendments because of a backroom deal with liberal Senator Chuck Schumer.

This critical issue is now becoming even more important because of the Paris attacks and the Syrian refugee crisis. Rubio’s liberal immigration policy puts our country even more at risk.

And it gets even worse. Rubio even wanted these refugees to come into our country without Rand’s immigration security amendment.

Here is what National Review said:

In September, Rubio told a South Carolina town hall audience, “We would be potentially open to the relocation of some of these individuals at some point in time to the United States.” But the prospect that terrorists could use the refugee crisis to smuggle themselves into the United States was obvious in September, as was the fact that there is no system of vetting available to us that could mitigate that risk.

Rubio has expressed support for allowing the refugees into our country, opposed Rand’s amendment to strengthen the security measures in immigration policy, and cut a backroom deal with Chuck Schumer to oppose conservatives. This should forever preclude conservatives from supporting Marco Rubio.

We can trust Rand to stand strong for conservative principles, and make decisions that will make our country safer here at home.

Please join thousands of concerned Americans in standing with Rand on his opposition of allowing Syrian refugees into this nation. To sign petition

The critics love Rand Paul

From Rand Paul 2016:

"Rand Went on the Offensive, Reshaped the Debate And Had His Strongest Performance Yet." -- Huffington Post

"Finally the Biggest Rift in the Republican Party Has Been Exposed." -- Washington Post

"Rand Paul Shuts Down Donald Trump, Debate Moderators, and Commercial Breaks." -- Vanity Fair

"Fireworks Erupt Between Marco Rubio and Rand Paul on Military Spending" -- Business Insider

"Rand Paul Drops the Mic on Donald Trump Over China's Participation in Trade Deal" -- Los Angeles Times

"Why Rand Paul Was the Stealth Winner of the GOP Debate" -- The Week Magazine

"Rand Paul had best debate of the campaign." -- Chuck Todd

"The reviews are in and it looks like Rand Paul had a good night. Libertarians say he hit his stride. It was clearly his finest performance of the four debates." -- Matt Lewis, Daily Caller

Those are just a few headlines Americans woke up to this morning describing my performance during last night's Republican debate in Milwaukee.

The battle lines between the Big Government establishment and my campaign have now been drawn.

And for daring to point out the fact that we don't have trillions of dollars to spend on Senator Rubio's new welfare plans or pour into misguided military spending, I'm already being attacked.

That's why I'm counting on you to stand with me by giving as generously as you can to my Debate Victory Money Bomb right away!

The truth is, last night's was the Big Government establishment's worst nightmare. During the debate:

>>> I explained why income inequality is worse where Democrats are in charge and how the Federal Reserve allows the well-connected to live high on the hog while the rest of us see the value of our money slowly evaporate;

>>> I explained why we need to get rid of President Obama's outrageous environmental controls to get our economy moving, and how Hillary Clinton's misguided foreign policy is really no different than several of my opponents;

>>> I showed why my 14.5% flat-tax plan would give every American a tax cut, create jobs and return $2 TRILLION to the American people over ten years.

But exposing Senator Rubio's outlandish spending plans is really what has the Big Government establishment up in arms today.

Their big hope has been, with Senator Rubio, they'll be able to put a new face on failed old Big Government policies of the past.

Like Hillary Clinton, he's supported amnesty. Like Hillary Clinton, he's supported arming Syrian rebels, strengthening ISIS. He's supported toppling Gaddafi in Libya, which strengthened radical Islamists.

Yet, even with our nation $18.5 TRILLION in debt, no one on stage last night dared question if we can afford another two trillion dollars in Congressional spending!

That's how strong the Washington machine's grip is on so many running for our Republican party's presidential nomination.

But the fact is, we can't continue to spend like there's no tomorrow on anything.

Pretending we can only makes us less safe.

The truth is, there's no way to defend this nation from bankruptcy court.

Yet even in my own Republican Party, there are those who refuse to come to grips with our country's fiscal reality.

No one but me was willing to tell the American people the truth.

We need a new direction. We need to destroy the Washington machine that's bankrupting us.

Last night, I showed why I'm the only fiscal conservative in the race.

But I'm counting on your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or even $10 to support my Debate Victory Money Bomb.

If we can reach our $500,000 goal, I believe it will send a massive message to the media and the Big Government establishment that their days are numbered.

So please act at once.

In liberty,

Rand

Rand Paul opposes Marco Rubio's trillion dollar welfare program

From Rand Paul 2016:

I set off fireworks on the Republican debate stage for daring to challenge massive new spending schemes from one of my GOP opponents.

The fact is, America can't afford Senator Rubio's trillion-dollar new welfare program or another trillion dollars in misguided military spending. We just can't.

Plans like these threaten to send our country to bankruptcy court, and actually endanger our ability to defend and protect this country!

In other words, it's anything but conservative.

But it's par for the course in Washington, D.C.

And it's the reason BOTH parties have helped sink our nation $18.5 TRILLION in debt.

I know I'm going to be attacked for daring to stand up to this madness.

But I'm not backing down.

Will you please stand with me by making your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or even $10 right away?

I'm counting on you. This fight is going to get hot.

In liberty,

Rand Paul

There are a lot of similarities between Hillary Clinton and her GOP opponents

From Rand Paul 2016:

I was talking with my wife Kelley this morning and we were discussing the past week on the campaign trail, and the upcoming debate.

She thought I should send a note to my supporters with the same points that I was making to her. She thought you needed to hear it straight from me before before this critical debate. So I penned this note this afternoon and wanted to get it to you right away. I hope you agree with this approach. More updates to come later!

Last week was a big week on the campaign.

The Senate passed in the dead of night a bill to raid social security and add trillions to our debt - they gave President Obama a blank check, and hardly even debated the topic. I stood up on the floor at 3am and protested.

I might have been a bit fired up, as you saw if you watched the speech.

With your help, and the help of Senator Mike Lee, 25 million people watched the video. It went viral and Americans took notice.

Next, I went to the Democrat debate in South Carolina and challenged Hillary Clinton head on for being a NeoCon. She shares the positions on foreign policy of Marco Rubio, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham.

After watching the Democrats debate, it became clear there really isn’t much difference between Hillary Clinton and some of the Republican candidates on the key issues.

•Hillary Clinton wants Amnesty. Marco Rubio partnered with Chuck Schumer to try and pass Amnesty.
•Hillary Clinton agrees with Marco Rubio that we should have American boots on the ground in the Middle East. They both supported the Iraq War, support a no fly zone over Syria that could lead to war with Russia, supported failed policies in Libya, etc. They both support foreign aid to the Muslim brotherhood. There is virtually no substantive difference between them on foreign policy.
•Hillary Clinton supports Obamatrade. Again, most of the Republican candidates, including Marco Rubio, agree with her on that. They want to give President Obama more authority, and trust him to use it correctly.

There is virtually no difference between Hillary Clinton and several other Republican candidates on some of the biggest issues of the campaign. How can you beat Hillary Clinton if you agree with her policies?

The debate is tomorrow night and we are down to just 8 candidates on that stage.

It is by far the most important debate of the campaign.

And now rather than talk about Ben Carson’s college applications, or Marco Rubio’s credit card scandal, we can talk about the real issues facing our country.

•No American boots on the ground in the Middle East.
•A fairer, flatter tax to replace the tax code.
•Audit the fed to provide real confidence in our money.
•No Amnesty. Not now, not ever.

We each get more time to speak because only 8 candidates will be on the stage….this means more time to discuss the issues that truly matter. And I trust Fox Business will do a better job staying on the issues than CNBC.

I am going to "paint in bold colors, not pale pastels."

And I am going to hold these Republican candidates accountable for being Hillary-lite on the critical issues of our day.

If you agree with this approach, I hope you will join me by making a contribution to the campaign. Together, we will take our country back.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul

Rand Paul compares Marco Rubio to Hillary Clinton

From Rand Paul 2016:

I sent a personal note this afternoon that seems to have gotten some attention.
The establishment was surprised that I compared Marco Rubio to Hillary Clinton.

Other candidates may want to talk about Marco Rubio’s use of the Florida Republican Party credit card. I think we should stay focused on the issues. And on the issues there are far too many similarities between Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton.

The fact is that Rubio teamed up with liberals on immigration. He worked with the Hillary wing of the Democratic party -- Senators Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid -- to introduce what has become a forgotten piece of terrible legislation: the “Gang of 8” amnesty bill.

The fact is that Rubio agrees with Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham on putting American boots on the ground in the Middle East, and other foreign policy issues including Obama and Hillary's destabilizing wars in Libya and Syria. He may use rhetoric that challenges her, but substantively they stand together.

Click here to show your support of my campaign by donating $25 instantly.

The media - including the debate moderators - haven’t held Rubio accountable for his past support for Amnesty, or compared his foreign policy positions to Hillary Clinton. But we are going to continue to hold him accountable. These issues matter to the American people, they matter to the cause of Liberty, and we are going to need to ‘paint with bold colors, not pale pastels’ if we intend to defeat Hillary Clinton in November.
I hope you will join me.
Are you with me?
In liberty,
Rand

Support Rand Paul in Auditting the Fed

From RandPaul2016:

The Federal Reserve's cronies and our national media have been on the attack against me for months.

They know I'm determined to expose every ounce of their corruption and cronyism.

And they know I'm going all out to EXPOSE the Fed and its allies in Congress by forcing the U.S. Senate on record on my Audit the Fed Bill.

Will you join this fight and help reach my campaign's $300,000 fundraising goal by tomorrow at midnight?

It couldn't be a better time to double down.

Already, limited audits have shown the Fed doled out $16 TRILLION in sweetheart loans to foreign banks and corporations.

That's more than four times what Congress spends every year under President Obama.

Yet the Fed gets virtually no scrutiny?

If we allow this madness to go on, it will result in absolute DISASTER for the American economy and the U.S. dollar.

I'm ready to finally EXPOSE this racket to the American people!

Audit the Fed will be brought to the floor for a full Senate vote in just a matter of days. And I'm counting on you to help me.

So please agree to your most generous contribution of $20.16 or more IMMEDIATELY!

Rand Paul addresses Obama-Boehner budget deal

From Rand Paul 2016:

"SHUT UP."

That's the message the recent "debt deal" struck by President Obama and outgoing House Speaker John Boehner is designed to send anyone who's alarmed about our nation's $18.4 TRILLION in debt.

Unless you and I can stop this insanity, this "deal" is effectively nothing more than handing big spenders in Congress a blank check to do their worst until we ring in 2017!

Is this the "fiscal conservatism" the American people voted for at the ballot box in 2014? The new ability for members of BOTH parties to keep spending like no tomorrow?

Of course not!

With your help, this is the madness I'm going to rip to shreds during tomorrow night's Republican Debate in Boulder, Colorado.

But I'm counting on your help to bust through the media blackout. Will you please agree to your most generous gift of $20.16 or more right away?

Sadly Republicans betraying their supporters is nothing new. It's a big reason our country is in the mess it's in. It's a big reason for the public outrage we've seen playing out in the polls.

And that anger is 100% deserved.

Our country is in too big of a mess to allow the status quo to continue any longer.

Our party can't afford a "whoops" moment where we nominate a candidate who will either lose at the ballot box or continue politics as usual if elected.

Either of those scenarios would be a complete and total failure for our nation and future generations who are counting on us to protect the freedom and prosperity that should be their birthright as American citizens.

That's why I'm counting on your support to help me bust through the media blackout.

Both the media and the political establishment know I'm the Washington Machine's worst nightmare.

While my opponents love to preen for TV and stroke their own ego, I could care less.

This isn't a TV reality show. It's not a contest to see who has the most Wall Street fat-cats, or party bigwigs backing their campaigns.

Our country needs results. It needs leaders who are willing to fight.

Not the constant stream of failures we're so used to. Not liberal appeasement.

Not the "deals" where BOTH parties in Congress agree to look the other way while their colleagues dole out our taxpayer dollars to their partisan cronies.

Our country needs tried and true limited government reforms designed to restore our constitutional freedoms.

Whether it's spending, spying or President Obama's misguided march to war in Syria, I've proven I'll stand to up members of EITHER party.

My plans to institute a 14.5% flat tax, Audit the Fed, end government spying, repeal ObamaCare, impose term limits on Congress, force Congress to read the bills, and balance the budget would revolutionize Washington, D.C.

But I can't do it alone. I'm counting on you to launch the revolution.

Will you please agree to you a generous gift of $20.16 ahead of tomorrow night's debate? Click Here

Your support can help me bust through the media blackout and bring my message straight to the American people.

In Liberty,

Rand Paul

The Polls show Rand Paul is leading

From Rand Paul 2016:

I am taking a quick break from the road in Texas to give you some breaking news on recent critical polling and to update you on our VERY successful trip to Iowa.

You won't hear this story anywhere else. The media wants to write this story differently.

So I am coming straight to you!

There are less than 100 days until the Iowa Caucuses. Can you believe that?

It is almost time for people to vote and show everyone that pollsters and the media got the story wrong all summer.

Our campaign is starting to feel the momentum on the ground. Recently, I toured several colleges and saw overflow crowds of young people who are invigorated to show up at the Iowa Caucuses.

They want to cut up the Obama credit card that is mortgaging their future and put forward pro-growth policies that will give them the jobs and opportunities they need to succeed.

They have liberal friends who are supporting Bernie Sanders and can't believe that an avowed socialist is near the top of the Democrat contest. They recognize that President Bernie Sanders would make President Barack Obama look like a fiscal conservative.

They know that in the real world, socialism fails and freedom works. The answer to fix Obama's failed policies is not to dive farther left off the cliff into socialism. The answer is to support a candidate who will hold the Constitution in one hand and the Bill of Rights in another.

And the momentum that we are feeling on the ground in Iowa is starting to show up in the polls, in the early states and nationally.

We are gaining ground in Iowa and, in fact, passed Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina.

We are gaining ground nationally according to CNN and Monmouth polls.

The media wants you to believe that the race is over. They want you to believe that Donald Trump is already the nominee. Nothing could be further from the truth. At this time in 2008 Rudy Giuliani was leading. At this time in 2012 Herman Cain was leading.

Now is our chance for a comeback to capitalize on this momentum and show that liberty is alive and well in America.

I am convinced our campaign has momentum.

I know I have the support of the next generation.

Now I am asking you to step up and help us by making a contribution of whatever you can afford to defend liberty across this great country.

With your help, we will capitalize on our momentum and ultimately win the nomination.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul

PS: Thank you so much for your support. There are less than 100 days left until Iowa and this is our opportunity to surge.

The media is blacking out the Rand Paul campaign. I believe the establishment is scared. They've got Ted Cruz to worry about. Cruz is another fine candidate who is just as Libertarian and he has done a lot of good for the country. The establishment candidates,Jeb Bush and Chris Christie are struggling for approval points. I would love it if Christie dropped out of the race. I'm sure a lot of people would, especially those who hate the drug war and don't want to see it revamped, this time only meaner.
