From CREDO:
The FCC is reportedly on the verge of approving the proposed $90 billion mega-merger between Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable,1 which would create a cable and Internet behemoth nearly as big as Comcast. Combined, the new company and Comcast would control two-thirds of the nation’s high speed Internet access.2
The next few days are a critical time to pressure the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to stop this bad deal for American consumers.
Can you help with a quick phone call? We’ll give you everything you need to deliver the message, and automatically connect you to the FCC commissioners who need to hear the voice of the American people.
Make a call to the FCC: Reject the Charter-Time Warner Cable merger. Call for a script and to be automatically connected to key FCC commissioners.
The proposed merger is a bad deal for consumers on a number of fronts:
It was designed to benefit the companies’ executives and Wall Street investors – not consumers. Big cable and Internet companies should be focused on improving customer service, and increasing broadband Internet speeds, not looking toward the next mega-merger that will make Wall Street happy.
If the merger is approved, Charter would take over the New York and Los Angeles broadband Internet markets, and would likely impose price increases on its customers in these diverse communities. This would exacerbate the digital divide by concentrating market power in communities where many people already struggle to afford broadband.
In a recent customer service survey, Charter ranked below hundreds of other companies – even Comcast.3 With even less competition and a captive customer base after a merger, Charter will have little incentive to actually improve customer service.
We need faster, more affordable Internet access – not further consolidation that would put more and more power into fewer hands. I hope you’ll join the broad coalition of progressive groups and activists fighting to stop the proposed merger between Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable by calling the FCC today.
Make a call to the FCC: Reject the Charter-Time Warner Cable merger. Call for a script and to be automatically connected to key FCC commissioners.
Thanks for everything you do.

Support Senator Rand Paul, our rights are on the line
From Rand Paul 2016:
With Rand in the Senate, liberty has a chance.
We've seen it.
Since 2010, he's galvanized the country for civil liberties and against the Obama administration's lawless use of drones.
He's stood strong time and time again against taxpayer handouts to foreign governments.
He stopped President Obama's mad rush to gun control in 2013.
He's fought tirelessly against BOTH parties' out of control spending habits.
He's stood strong against the NSA spying programs.
And forced the U.S. Senate to vote on Audit the Fed and legislation defunding Planned Parenthood.
Rand has fought at every turn to preserve our freedoms and defeat the Washington machine.
I know, especially in these times, we can trust Rand Paul to continue to be the voice for the Constitution in the Senate.
And that puts a target on his back.
Liberal elites and the Washington establishment are working hard to make sure there's no opposition to their big tax-and-spend plans in 2017.
That's why it's so important we meet our $200,000 goal on this End of Quarter Moneybomb.
We know they're ready to come after Rand with everything they've got.
We need to be able to fire back.
We can defeat the Washington machine together.
So please, if at all possible, agree to your most generous contribution of $50, $25 or even $10 right away.
Let's make sure Rand gets back to Washington to restore liberty and the Constitution in America in the next term.

Fuck off Mexico
The Mexican government is mounting a rushed effort to turn as many of their former citizens into American citizens as they can ahead of the November elections. Terrified that Donald Trump could make it much harder for Mexican immigrants to wantonly disregard our laws, the country is opening up their consulates in Chicago, Dallas, and elsewhere to permanent U.S. residents who are eligible for citizenship. And though Mexican officials insist that they are not trying to interfere with the internal affairs of a sovereign country, it is fairly obvious that they want as many Mexicans voting against Trump as they can get.
From the New York Times:
Laura Espinosa, deputy consul in Mexico’s consulate in Las Vegas, said the main goal of the program is citizenship, and while that includes the right to vote, the government doesn’t press people to do so. “Those who use this to vote, that’s up to each individual,” said Espinosa, who confirmed that most consulates have begun citizenship campaigns. “We don’t have any opinion on that, because that would be totally interfering in internal affairs of the country.”
Oh, is the right to vote included in this? My, we had no idea!
The movement to turn immigrants into voters isn’t the only thing Mexico is doing to make sure they keep those remittance dollars rolling in for decades to come. They are also rolling out a PR campaign designed to let Americans know everything Mexicans have done “in business, the arts, and academia in the U.S.” According to Paulo Carreno, who is overseeing the marketing campaign, the goal is less about the 2016 election and more about influencing “a whole generation and those that follow.”
That Mexico is working this hard to oppose Trump should tell American voters something. Why would a sovereign country (whose immigration laws, mind you, are much less forgiving than ours) be so desperate to make sure their citizens can move out? Doesn’t that say something about what’s going on here?
Oh, but this is all about opposing white racism, right? Of course it is.
Republicans have done a terrible job at countering the leftist narrative that says a strong border is akin to bigotry and xenophobia. It’s almost like they believe it themselves. This party is constantly on the defensive. They use phrases like “we just…” Whatever happened to strong conservatives who could stand for the rule of law without sounding as though they’re ashamed of their own policies? Are Ted Cruz and Donald Trump the only ones capable of that?
Could that be why they’re winning?

Rand Paul Could Lose His Seat To A Wealthy Self Financed Challenger! The Polls Are Close!
Patriots For Economic Freedom:
Rand Paul is facing a wealthy self funded liberal! The polls are close and Rand Paul is vulnerable. The Washington establishment is doing everything possible to elect Jim Gray and defeat Rand Paul. Will you help defend Rand Paul's U.S. Senate seat? Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising! All funds will be used to support Rand Paul. Not a cent will be spent on overhead costs or credit card processing.
Rand Paul's opponent is a liberal extremist. If elected, he would be a one of the most radical members of the U.S. Senate. As the Mayor of Lexington, Jim Gray has raised taxes, increased spending, and created new regulations on small businesses. He is an enemy of the Constitution! In Washington, Jim Gray would work to pass amnesty, ban private health insurance, and take away guns!
Unlike Jim Gray, Rand Paul always fights for conservative principles. In the Senate, he works to shrink government, stop amnesty and defend the Second Amendment. As a conservative, Rand Paul understands the need to cut spending and balance the budget. He knows that the American dream won't be around for future generations if action is not taken. Will you help re-elect Rand Paul to the U.S. Senate? Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising! All funds will be used to support Rand Paul. Gay Democratic Mayor Jumps In Senate Race Against Rand Paul
Jim Gray wants to restore the American dream for Kentucky families, but he knows it’ll be an uphill battle.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be facing a challenge from a prominent Kentucky Democrat come the election in November.
Lexington Mayor Jim Gray, 62, said Tuesday that he believes he has a shot at defeating the Republican incumbent despite that state’s widespread disapproval of President Barack Obama.
“I feel like that there’s an environment in Washington that’s toxic, and people across the country, and including Kentucky, are looking for alternatives,” Gray told the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The second-term mayor, who is gay, said he believes Paul is vulnerable because he is simultaneously running for president. Gray said he decided last week he would challenge the senator, and that he doesn’t believe voters will take issue with his sexual orientation.
Rand Paul is one of the strongest conservatives in the Senate. He is not part of the status quo and he cannot be controlled by lobbyists. Unlike most of Washington, he ran for office as a political outside with a successful career in Medicine. Rand Paul is dedicated to restoring liberty in America and solving the debt crisis!
Re-electing Rand Paul is crucial to maintaining a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate. If Rand Paul is defeated, it is likely that Democrats will take control of the Senate in 2016. That would be a disaster! If a Democrat takeover happens, amnesty will pass and spending will increase. Conservatives must do everything possible to stop a Democratic takeover. Will you help re-elect Rand Paul to the U.S. Senate? Please contribute $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more, to support Rand Paul with voter outreach and advertising! Oppose H.R. 2976
From Public Advocate:
The radical Homosexual Lobby is showing their true colors.
They're pushing a more extreme bill that will literally redefine marriage.
You see, Rep. Lois Capps' (D-CA) so-called "Amend the Code for Marriage Equality Act" (H.R. 2976) would erase the terms "husband" and "wife" from all federal documents.
Instead of using Real Marriage terms, the bill would replace them with pro-Homosexual "genderless" terms such as "spouse" or "partner."
Rep. Capps even falsely claimed that the terms "husband" and "wife" are somehow offensive to homosexuals.
But this is more than just paperwork.
This latest bill exposes the radical Homosexual Lobby's true end game -- to eradicate Real Marriage once and for all.
I've always predicted radical homosexuals wouldn't stop trying to pervert Real Marriage after they ushered in homosexual "marriage" across the nation.
Each victory is just another stepping stone towards implementing their entire radical agenda.
They know by eliminating Real Marriage, there will be fewer pro-Family Americans blocking their attempts to force homosexuality as the national standard.
I've been exposing their true agenda for over 35 years as President of Public Advocate.
And I've rallied millions of pro-Family Americans with Public Advocate's grassroots programs.
That's why I'm counting on action from Public Advocate supporters today.
I've prepared your "Don't Erase Real Marriage" petition for you to sign right away.
I'm also hoping I can count on you to chip in $10 or $25 in order to help me expose their radical plan to end Real Marriage in America.
There are thousands -- even millions -- of Americans who would also sign this petition to their U.S. Senators and Congressmen.
Will you help me be their voice in Congress by chipping in $10 or $25 to help Public Advocate collect their petitions?
Thank you.
For the Family,
HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the United States
P.S. The radical Homosexual Lobby is seeking to destroy Real Marriage by passing a bill erasing "husband" and "wife" from all federal forms.
If this passes, they will soon make it a "hate" crime to even use the terms "husband" and "wife" in public.
Please sign your "Don't Erase Real Marriage" petition right away and consider chipping in $10 or $25 to help Public Advocate defeat this bill before it's too late.
You may remember Lois Capps from the movie "They live".

Support the National Right To Work Act
From the National Right To Work Committee:
I'll get right to it.
The deadline to collect petitions urging the Senate to hold a vote on the National Right to Work Act is just 48 hours away.
And with the November elections fast approaching, nothing strikes fear into the hearts of union bosses more than losing their grip on the ten billion dollar a year warchest stuffed with forced-union dues.
This stockpile of cash has funded Big Government politicians for decades.
Jimmy Carter.
Bill Clinton.
Barack Obama.
The mess created by Big Labor's handpicked politicians sticks with us today.
And the first step of the cleanup is putting members of Congress on the record.
Will they stand with the overwhelming majority of Americans who believe in worker freedom?
Or will they side with Big Labor and their disastrous agenda which holds down wages, wrecks our economy and installs puppet politicians in office?
So I'm counting on your immediate action to swamp Congress with a wave of grassroots activism.
Please sign your petition before time runs out.
The deadline is just 48 hours away and it's vital I count on every Right to Work supporter to make their voice heard.
After you complete your petition, please chip in a contribution to help your National Right to Work Committee contact two million Americans by email, social media, direct mail and phone calls to turn up the heat on Congress to hold a vote on the National Right to Work Act.
Time is running out, so please act right away.
Sincerely,
Mark Mix
P.S. Your Committee's program to secure public, roll-call votes on the National Right to Work Act is underway.
I'm counting on you to help your National Right to Work Committee reach our goal of 50,000 petitions before the March 28th deadline by completing yours today.
After you complete your petition, please chip in a contribution of $10 or $25 to help your National Right to Work Committee keep the pressure on Congress to hold a vote on this crucial legislation.

Donald Clinton
I'm glad I'm supporting Ted Cruz for President. Donald Trump is such a lowlife sleeze. He has gone too far and has probably lost some support. I know he lost my respect. This is what I am referring to. Apparently Trump has low friends in high places. In this case that would be National Enquirer’s CEO David Pecker, who lives up to his name. Pecker has been running interference for Trump for a long time now and I'm sure they will publish anything favorable to Trump. They probably have nothing to worry about considering Trump will probably cover their liability IOW Trump will pay off the awards and attorney fees in a lawsuit. That is a sweet deal for the National Enquirer since it won't cost them any money. It will, however, cost them a lot reputation wise. The National Enquirer is a tabloid rag and they have been sued in the past. They may have recovered financially but they never were able to shake off their "libel" image. Like I said Trump is just another New York asshole who thinks he can buy the presidency. I would have voted for Trump if he got the nomination but not now. He is Hillary in drag. If Trump gets the nomination I'm voting third party. Do you think the Democrats are scared of Trump? Hell no,they are hoping he wins because he will rule like Hillary. Not only that but the Democrats publically said they fear Trump. Bullshit, they favor Trump. It is Cruz they fear. Don't believe me. Okay, where did you hear that the Democrats fear Trump? From the Democrats themselves. If the Democrats truly feared Trump they wouldn't publicize it. At least not to the general media. They would keep it to themselves. The Democrats may be evil but they are not stupid. If the Democrats truly feared Trump you would have heard it from Rush Limbaugh not the Democrats. Trump is a dirty dealer and has no business being President. Both he and Hillary are unworthy of the Presidency.

Tell the FCC to make broadband internet access available to all
From Demand Progress:
Tell the FCC to ensure more Americans have reliable access to the Internet.
By the end of the month, the FCC is expected to vote on whether to expand access to broadband Internet and narrow the digital divide.
It’s astonishing: Nearly 1 in 5 Americans does not have broadband access to the Internet. That’s the digital divide in action.
Most of us rely on the Internet for so much in our daily lives. Everything from job searches, to health care, to homework, to – as Demand Progress members know – taking political action all require Internet access.
The number one factor holding families back from getting online? Cost. And studies show that communities of color are hit hardest.
The FCC has a chance to help close this gap. It’s voting this month on whether to expand the Lifeline program – originally created in the ‘80s to help low-income families afford basic phone service – to cover broadband Internet.
Tell the FCC to narrow the digital divide by expanding broadband Internet affordability for low-income families.
The FCC recognized three decades ago that telephone access was necessary to fully engage in society. Now, the Internet has become at least as critical to life in the 21st century as the phone was in the 80’s.
Closing the digital divide and increasing access for low-income families can create more economic opportunities, promote greater democratic participation, and foster a more just society.
Now, the FCC needs to hear from you, the public.
FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler and Commissioner Mignon Clyburn have already put forth a proposal to modernize Lifeline and expand it to broadband.1
We need to make sure that when the FCC votes, it does the right thing. Making broadband more affordable means low-income families aren’t left further behind when it comes to accessing job opportunities, education, and essential health services.
Will you contact the FCC and let the commissioners know you support increasing broadband access?
Thanks for taking action,

Four friends versus The People's Candidate
Do you know who is not in that photo? Do you? Care to guess? This is who:
Ted Cruz stands with the people. He is the true leader of America. He won't hand the election over to Hillary. The liberals are supposedly scared of Donald Trump. Bullshit. They are really afraid of Ted Cruz that is why they are hoping you'll vote for Trump. Trump is all hot air while Ted Cruz is a proven leader. When was the last time Donald Trump filibustered on the Senate floor for 21 hours to preserve your Constitutional rights? That has never happened with Donald Trump but it has happened with Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz has taken on the Washington establishment. He has stood up to them. Trump is one of them. Trump is an insider posing as an outsider. When Cruz goes to work each morning the Senate is in session he is going into lion's den. Cruz has begruding respect from them because he has tamed the lions. Trump has nothing to worry about because he is one of the lions. Go with a trusted leader. Don't be taken in my Trump's bloviating but instead go with a trusted leader. Go with Ted Cruz because Ted Cruz is TrusTED.
Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland is pro rainbow mafia
From Public Advocate:
I have bad news.
I've found troubling information about President Obama's pick for U.S. Supreme Court Justice that could shred the right to Religious Liberty as we know it.
As I predicted, Merrick Garland is no friend of Religious Liberty.
You see, as Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Garland already voted to destroy Religious Liberty.
In the case, Priests for Life v. United States Department of Health and Human Services, Garland voted to force Priests for Life to comply with the ObamaCare "morning after pill" mandate against their deeply-held religious belief.
It's clear pro-Family Americans can't count on Garland to defend Religious Liberty.
That's why it's important the Senate refuses to confirm his nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.
If Garland is confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice, he will be voting on crucial cases regarding Religious Liberty over the next decade.
I've recently written you about the case, Stormans v. Wiesman where I filed Public Advocate's hard-hitting amicus brief defending Religious Liberty.
Garland could be the deciding vote on whether Christian-owned pharmacies will be forced to become complicit in abortions by requiring them to stock and sell abortion-inducing drugs -- including Plan B and ella.
If we lose this case, Christian pharmacies who do not comply may lose their licenses and be forced out of business.
This case could set a federal precedent against all business owners and charities who defend Real Marriage, as well.
Garland's nomination would be a disgrace to Justice Antonin Scalia's memory.
That's why it's crucial you sign your petition to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and your U.S. Senators right away.
If you already have, please forward this email to your friends and ask them to do the same.
I'm already seeing weak Republican Senators caving and calling on their pro-Family colleagues to vote to confirm Merrick Garland.
That's because the liberal media and radical Homosexual Lobby are calling Garland a "moderate."
But you and I both know that ANY nominee Obama chooses could never be considered a "moderate" by any reasonable consideration.
The liberal media is intentionally calling him a "moderate" only to deceive the public and politicians into supporting Obama's radical pick.
It pains me to think the next Justice could be the antithesis of Scalia.
With Religious Liberty hanging on by a thread, we can't risk having another liberal sitting on the U.S. Supreme Court.
So please, sign your "Hold the Line" petition to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and your U.S. senators.
After that, please forward this email to your friends and family and consider chipping in $10 or $25 right away.

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the United States
P.S. The liberal media and homosexual lobby are trying to hide Supreme Court Justice nominee Merrick Garland's radical opposition to Religious Liberty.
It's up to you and me to bring his past record to light by alerting thousands of pro-Family Americans.

Now corporations are sucking up to the rainbow mafia
From Public Advocate:
Never before has the threat been this dangerous.
The radical Homosexual Lobby has joined forces with over 60 of the nation's biggest corporations to push for passage of the Gay Bill of Special Rights.
General Electric, Nike, and many more multi-billion dollar companies are now linking arms with radical homosexuals to pressure Congress to pass their extreme agenda.
The radical Homosexual Lobby wasted no time celebrating their new superpower in the liberal news media.
Their press releases were designed to strike fear into every member of Congress facing re-election.
Armed with an endless supply of financial support, the radical Homosexual Lobby is now expanding their massive influence.
They're hiring targeted state and district lobbyists with the sole purpose of forcing Congress to pass the Gay Bill of Special Rights.
That's why I hope you sign your petition right now and tell your Senators and Congressman that you are against the Gay Bill of Special Rights.
Introduced by homosexual Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) and Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) H.R. 3185 and S. 1858 will create a special employment status for homosexuals and transsexuals.
And this is the most aggressive version of this bill I've ever seen.
The liberal media even called it "historic" and "comprehensive."
Unless Public Advocate supporters take immediate action, this could go down in history as the end of Religious Liberty in America.
The Gay Bill of Special Rights will force every business -- even faith-based businesses -- to comply with the radical Homosexual Agenda.
These bills are usually filed under the guise of employee discrimination protection.
But don't let that fool you. The ramifications of this bill are dangerous and virtually never-ending.
Christian daycares could be forced to hire transsexuals.
Churches could be mandated to hire homosexual pastors or face legal threats.
That's why it's critical you sign your petition opposing the Gay Bill of Special Rights right away.
It's important I fight back right away.
Public Advocate has always been outspent yet has been very effective with a fraction of the funds compared to the vast resources of the homosexual lobby.
But now Republicans like Senator Mark Kirk are already betraying pro-Family Americans by joining the radical Homosexual Lobby in supporting the Gay Bill of Special Rights.
And I'm afraid if I don't strike back immediately, more Republicans will seek praise from the radical Homosexual Lobby and access to their powerful backers.
Please don't let that happen.
After you sign your petition opposing the Gay Bill of Special Rights, please chip in $10 or $25 right away.
Your generous contribution will help me lead a resistance of thousands of pro-Family Americans against the Gay Bill of Special Rights.
For the Family,
HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the United States
P.S. Over 60 of the nation's largest corporations have created a pro-homosexual superpower designed to pass the Gay Bill of Special Rights before President Obama completes his final year in office.
And if I don't respond with opposition from thousands of united pro-Family Americans, I'm afraid the Homosexual Lobby will finally pass the bill in Congress this year.
That's why I need you to sign your petition opposing the Gay Bill of Special Rights, and chip in $10 or $25 right away to help me recruit thousands of pro-Family Americans against this threat.

Tell the FCC to enforce Net Neutrality no matter what the ISP's say about it
Fight For The Future:
The FCC is deciding right now whether or not to let Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile undermine net neutrality with total impunity.
These companies are trying to see if they can break the law in plain sight and get away with it. If they win, it will endanger the open Internet forever. But the FCC won’t act unless they see an overwhelming public response — help us submit 100,000 comments to the FCC in the next week.
Tell the FCC: Zero-Rating schemes violate Net Neutrality and threaten the open Internet. Don't let Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile get away with breaking the law.
Net neutrality is the basic guiding principle that has made the Internet what it is today. It keeps powerful interests from slowing down or censoring content, and it’s what guarantees us access to the expanse of knowledge that makes the Internet revolutionary.
Last year, the FCC passed the strongest-ever protections for the open Internet, and it happened with such overwhelming public support that companies like Comcast and Verizon can’t publicly oppose net neutrality the way they used to.
Now, Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are trying to work around the rules by doing something called Zero-Rating, even though last year’s net neutrality rules already ban it as a discriminatory pricing model.
The problem is the FCC decided to deal with zero rating on a, "case by case basis," which so far has meant that the FCC hasn’t done a thing. [1]
Companies are using the FCC’s slow response to their advantage, hoping to spread enough propaganda about the programs that the FCC won't ban them. The reality is, though, the FCC will only act quickly if enough of us speak out and demand that they do the right thing.
Tell the FCC: protect net neutrality and stop Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile from undermining the open Internet.
While each company’s Zero-Rating scheme is a little different, they all functionally work the same way. They all claim to offer consumers something for free, when in reality they use arbitrary data caps to gouge customers for more money while striking special deals that let them manipulate the way we all use the Internet.
Internet experts, academics, and free speech advocates agree that these types of practices are harmful to Internet users and undermine our rights. Wired put it pretty succinctly: Net Neutrality is in More Danger than Ever. [2]
The good news is that asking the FCC to stop this is not unprecedented. Not only is Zero-Rating already against the new rules, just last month, India’s telecom regulator banned Zero-Rating schemes based on the danger they pose to free speech and equal access to information.
But that victory in India only came after millions of people spoke out. We need to do the same thing here, and fast.
Tell the FCC: protect the open Internet and ban Zero-Rating. Don’t let Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile undermine net neutrality.

H.R. 2976 will destroy real marriage

Get the Dems to oppose TPP
From The Nation:
The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement is a corporate trade and investment deal that would ship US jobs overseas, undermine efforts to address climate change, undercut Wall Street reform, and raise drug prices. It is opposed by the labor movement, almost all environmental groups, and access-to-medicine groups like Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
So why do so many Democrats still support it?
We’ve joined with Just Foreign Policy, OpenMedia, and many others to call on Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, to publicly oppose the TPP. Will you join us?
Only 28 House Democrats voted for “fast track” legislation to enable the TPP to be completed. One of the 28 was Schultz.
Thanks in part to activists fighting for everything from Internet freedom to access to medical care to workers’ rights, more and more politicians have come out against the TPP, including Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. As a leader of the Democratic Party, Debbie Wasserman Schultz should join them in opposing the TPP, and should pledge now to vote against the agreement in Congress. Her high-profile opposition would be a game-changer in ensuring that the agreement never passes Congress.
Join us now in calling on Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to oppose the TPP.
TPP is also a threat to our Constitution and internet freedoms so don't just dismiss it.

Tell the House Judiciary Committee to move along the Email Privacy Act
From The Free Press Action Fund:
Do you want to know how much of your online life the government can access without a warrant?
Emails, direct messages on Twitter, texts, chat messages, private photos and comments on Facebook and Instagram, your address book and calendar — anything that’s more than 180 days old.
With all the fighting going on right now over our online privacy and security — from NSA overreach to the battle pitting Apple against the FBI — it’s amazing that there’s a bill that would fix this warrantless snooping problem. And it’s the most popular bill in Congress (really — there are 310 co-sponsors).
But the bill’s stuck in limbo. Tell Congress it’s time to pass the Email Privacy Act.
The Email Privacy Act is a much-needed update to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, a law passed 30 years ago.1 That law is full of dangerous loopholes that leave tons of our private communications vulnerable to government searches just because they’re stored in the cloud.
No one likes the old law. If the new bill went to a vote it would pass in a landslide. But it hasn’t even gotten a vote in committee.
Even with a Congress known more for gridlock than progress, moving this bill forward should be a no-brainer.
Tell Congress it’s time to move this bill and protect our privacy rights online.
We need to close these loopholes and work toward a secure digital future for everyone.
Thanks for all that you do—
Sandy, Candace, Matt and the rest of the Free Press Action Fund team
freepress.net
P.S. Think the government has the right to read your emails to your significant other? We don’t either. Tell Congress to pass the Email Privacy Act.
