From Rand2016:
The days of my colleagues just ramming legislation through the U.S. Congress without reading them has to end.
Who can forget those words from 2010 when Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi stated, “we have to pass the [ObamaCare] bill so that you can find out what’s in it . . .”?
Members of Congress may not have known what was in the bill then.
But today, the American people are finding out firsthand what’s in the law in the form of cancelled health insurance plans, skyrocketing premiums, new taxes, lost jobs, cut hours and government red tape.
That’s why, late last week, I introduced three different bills designed to put a stop to this madness.
I know my colleagues in Congress will just want to ignore them. But with your action today, my hope is they’ll quickly realize that’s just not an option.
So won’t you please fill out your Congressional Transparency Survey right away to show where you stand?
I hope you will.
I believe these three bills will dramatically improve Congressional transparency by:
***ENDING the practice of Congress unconstitutionally handing unelected government bureaucrats the authority to draft legislation by allowing them to craft major regulations with only token oversight (S.1663);
***STOPPING the practice of packing legislation with multiple unrelated subjects to hide the overall effects of the bill (S.1664);
***FORCING my colleagues to read the bills they’re voting on by requiring bills to be read in their entirety in both houses of Congress (S.1665).
If you agree, I hope you’ll agree to fill out your Congressional Transparency Survey right away.
After all, when it comes to ever-encroaching government spying on our lives you and I hear all the time, “If you’re not doing any thing wrong, what do you have to worry about?
But when it comes to transparency in our federal government, many of those same voices do everything they can to keep their actions behind closed doors!
And I can tell you personally, members of Congress continually support doing the wrong things for America.
ObamaCare is just one prime example.
But what about our $17 TRILLION national debt?
What about the fight over gun control, which is still raging?
What about the 1,300 page so-called “Immigration Reform” bill the Senate rammed through without anyone reading it?
One sure way to put an end to this madness is to force Congress to open its doors, open its books and do its job.
If you agree, please fill out your Congressional Transparency Survey TODAY.
And, if you possibly can, please agree to your most generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, $35, $25 or $10 right away!
As I mentioned, my colleagues will do everything they can to stop these bills from even reaching the Senate floor for a vote.
But your signed survey – along with surveys from millions of other Americans – will help prove to them that you’re insisting on action.
Through email, Internet ads and mail, my plan is to dramatically increase the heat on my colleagues.
But I’m counting on your support to make that happen.
Won’t you agree to a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50 or $35 TODAY?
I know that’s a lot. I know that’s more than you’ve given in the past. But this fight is just that important.
If $ is just too much, please agree to chip in a contribution of $25 or at least $20 right away.
Without your support, there’s no way I can turn up enough heat on my colleagues in Congress to force action.
You’re the key.
The great news is, whether it’s halting President Obama’s push for gun control, forcing his administration’s hand after my 13-hour Senate filibuster or stopping the misguided march to war in Syria, your action is proven to make a difference.
So please fill out your survey IMMEDIATELY.
And, if you possibly can, please agree to your most generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, $35, $25 or at least $10 TODAY!
In Liberty,
Senator Rand Paul

Ted Cruz was right
From Senate Conservatives:
Fellow Conservatives:
Ted Cruz was right. Republicans should have refused to fund Obamacare.
The president's health care law is an unmitigated disaster and now Democrats in Washington are running for political cover.
If Republicans had listened to Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), they could have won this fight and stopped Obamacare. Instead, Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sabotaged the effort and now Americans are paying the price.
That's the bad news, but here's the good news: It's not too late for Republicans to do the right thing.
Obamacare funding expires January 15 and Republicans should not renew it. If Democrats cause another government shutdown to protect this terrible law, Republicans should hold firm and use the showdown to push for full repeal.
The only way to fix Obamacare is to repeal it and the only way to repeal it is for Republicans to stand strong.
NO MORE LIES
President Obama lied when he said Americans could keep their current health plans, but now some politicians say they can fix this problem with yet another mandate on insurance companies.
Politicians who say they can fix this mess without repealing the law are not being honest. The federal government is incapable of managing our health care system and this train wreck will continue until Obamacare is repealed.
Here's what Ted Cruz told Megyn Kelly on Fox News yesterday:
"The bills that the White House and some of the Democrats are talking about are tinkering around the edges. They won't make a difference to the 5 million people who lost their health care already. They won't make a difference to the 90 plus million with employer provided health care. The only way to stop the problems is to admit the idea was fundamentally flawed to begin with. We've got to start over."
VIDEO: Watch Ted Cruz on The Kelly File
The best thing for Republicans to do now is to tell Americans the truth and demand full repeal of the law.
Unfortunately, too many Republicans are defeatists and will accept whatever changes the Democrats propose even if it doesn't solve the problem.
If Republicans aren't careful, they will do exactly what President Obama did and make promises that will be broken.
REPEAL IT OR GO HOME
The Republican establishment in Washington will never admit this, but Ted Cruz and the 2 million Americans who signed the "Don't Fund Obamacare" petition were right.
Obamacare is every bit of the disaster we predicted it would be and the Democrats will abandon it if Republicans hold strong.
The law is increasingly unpopular and the president's job approval rating is at its lowest point since he was elected. For the first time, a majority of voters now believe he is not "honest and trustworthy."
Thanks to conservatives, Republicans are in a strong position on this issue. Now is not the time to go soft. Now is the time to show Americans that there are people in Washington who will fight for them, not lie to them.
Democrats should be given two choices: repeal Obamacare or be defeated in your next election.
ELECT A CONSERVATIVE SENATE
ConservativeSenate.comThe 2014 elections are less than a year away and the first votes in the upcoming Republican primaries will be cast in just a few months. There is no time to waste!
If you think we need more principled fighters like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul to protect our freedoms, please sign our "Conservative Senate" pledge.
It's a chance for you to stand with other Americans in pledging to support conservative candidates with your time, your money, and your vote.
Thank you for your continued support. We'll keep fighting.

SOPA is back
From Fight For The Future:
Yesterday, WikiLeaks published a previously secret chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The document confirms our worst fears: the TPP would force extreme SOPA-like censorship onto the world’s Internet users.
Tell your leaders to say NO to Internet censorship and oppose the TPP
Now we know why the U.S. government worked so hard to keep the TPP negotiations secret: the Obama administration claims to champion Internet freedom and openness, but they’ve been quietly pushing for draconian copyright provisions that benefit Hollywood and giant pharmaceutical companies at the expense of our basic rights and freedoms.
We told the world once that SOPA was a deal breaker. But, now monopolists have found a backdoor to pass it -- the TPP. They’re doing everything in their power to make sure it gets signed. Our time to fight this is short, but there is still hope. Experts say that the TPP negotiations could still fall apart if we keep the pressure on.
The first thing we all need to do is speak out against censorship before it’s too late.
The TPP doesn’t just affect the Internet. It’s bad for the economy, jobs, the environment, food, and even access to medicine. The worst part is that it’s being debated behind closed doors, with no input from human rights advocates or technical experts, but plenty of influence from Industry lobbyists and government bureaucrats.
World leaders are meeting NEXT WEEK to continue negotiations on the TPP. Now that we know what’s in it, it’s clear we have no choice but to stop it completely. And we don’t have much time.
Click here sign the petition to stop the TPP
We spent yesterday combing through the WikiLeaks release, and we hate to say it, but the TPP is even worse than we thought. Here’s a glance of what it contains, read the full documents for yourself here:
* Shutting off our Internet connection and blocking entire websites over claims to copyright infringement -- check.
* Encouraging our ISPs to spy on everything we do on the web and sharing our private data with copyright holders - check.
* Accusing people of copyright infringement without due process -- check.
* Making medicine and medical care harder to get -- check.
* Circumventing protections for workers and the environment -- check.
* Undermining democracy and national sovereignty -- check.

Pressure Harry Reid to Audit The Fed
From Campaign For Liberty:
The first volley in our battle to get Harry Reid to hold an up or down, roll call vote on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill (S. 209) starts in just a few short hours!
At 10am eastern today, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on Janet Yellen's nomination to be the next Fed Chair.
It is possible at least one senator will discuss Audit the Fed and ask Yellen how she can justify allowing the Fed to operate in the dark.
Campaign for Liberty has been providing key staffers of Committee members with information on why auditing the Fed is so important, as part of our efforts to advance the Audit the Fed bill on Capitol Hill.
Over the past several months, Campaign for Liberty's legislative team has also met with other key Capitol Hill staff to brief them on Audit the Fed and deliver your petitions in support of the bill.
And our outreach is making an impact...
Since September, the number of House cosponsors on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill, H.R. 24, has climbed from 152 to 169!
And the number of Senate cosponsors on S. 209 has gone from 24 to 27.
Our staff has done this while also being heavily engaged in battles over government funding, the debt ceiling, and efforts to stop ObamaCare, as well as fighting to stop the National ID program and the Internet Tax Mandate from advancing in the House.
And, of course, our staff has been working hard in a (so far) successful effort to block Representative Mel Watt's nomination to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
My staff informs me that many of those they meet with comment on how effective Campaign for Liberty members have been in putting the heat on Congress and making Audit the Fed a major national issue.
But now is the time for all of us to ratchet up our efforts!
So, if you are able, please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 today to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb.
As you know, Senator Rand Paul has put a hold on the nomination of Janet Yellen to be Federal Reserve Chair while requesting that Harry Reid finally agree to hold an up or down, roll call vote on Audit the Fed.
This gives us our best opportunity yet to force every senator to publicly say whether they stand with the nearly 75% of Americans who support Audit the Fed or with the special interests, Wall Street fat cats, and high-priced DC lobbyists.
Fed sympathizers are pulling out all the stops to thwart our efforts, and they are being aided by the Federal Reserve's cheerleaders in the financial media.
We saw during the government shutdown how many so-called "conservative leaders" both in and out of Congress cut and ran when the statists put the heat on.
That is why we must turn up the pressure on Congress!
Campaign for Liberty staff will keep working the Hill to increase support, but we need your help.
Our strength comes from grassroots Americans like you - not from connections to well-off special interests or Big Media.
So please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 today!
Raising $85,000 will allow us to run a full-scale email and mail program to mobilize more Americans to our cause;
With an additional $60,000, we can purchase Internet, radio, and full-page ads in targeted states;
And finally, hitting our $250,000 goal will enable C4L to run hard-hitting TV ads.
After today's hearing, the Senate Banking Committee will likely vote on Yellen's nomination next week, with the full Senate debating it shortly after Thanksgiving.
So Campaign for Liberty needs to finalize its plans as soon as possible to make sure our efforts have maximum effect.
That is why it is vital you please make your most generous contribution to Campaign for Liberty's Audit the Fed Money Bomb today!
Stay tuned for updates on Campaign for Liberty's progress in getting more senators to Stand with Rand and force Harry Reid to finally hold an up or down, roll call vote on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill (S. 209).
We can't win this fight without you.
So please contribute to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb today.
Thank you for your continued support!
In Liberty,
John Tate
President
P.S. Campaign for Liberty's legislative team has been working hard to increase support for Audit the Fed on Capitol Hill.
And we will keep doing so until Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill passes and the American people finally learn the truth about how the Federal Reserve is benefiting big-spending politicians, Wall Street special interests, and even foreign governments and central banks at the average American's expense.
With Senator Rand Paul's hold on Janet Yellen's nomination to be Fed Chair, we have our best opportunity ever to make Harry Reid hold an up or down, roll call vote on Audit the Fed.
Janet Yellen's confirmation hearing begins in a few hours. The Senate Banking Committee is likely to vote on the Yellen nomination as early as next week, with debate on her confirmation starting shortly after Thanksgiving.
After all you and I have done, we cannot allow this opportunity to slip through our fingers.
So please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb today!

Support Tom Cotton's bid for Senator for Arkansas
Do you want to take back the U.S. Senate?
The Guardian Fund has endorsed freshman Congressman Tom Cotton of Arkansas in his bid for U.S. Senate against Mark Pryor, an entrenched Democrat. Tom is a rising star in the Republican Party and without a doubt one of the brightest spots in American politics today.
The Left knows they're in grave danger of losing control in the Senate if they can't defend this seat, so they're already gunning for Tom. More than a year before Election Day, the Democrat establishment is running ads smearing Tom's record in Congress with lies and trying desperately to destroy his character. These attacks are false and we need to fight back on Tom's behalf right now.
The Guardian Fund is building up an arsenal to defeat the left's attacks against Tom and all of our endorsed candidates and our goal is to raise $250,000 online between now and the end of the year. Your donation today of $25, $50, $100, or more will play a key role in our success.
Click here to invest in the Guardian Fund's critical mission today.
An Army combat veteran who led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Tom Cotton is a man of principle who knows what it means to lead. To say America needs Tom- and more like him -- in the United States Senate to do battle with Harry Reid is an understatement.
That's precisely why the liberal fundraising machine is already funneling money into Arkansas to destroy Tom on the airwaves. Trust me—they're ready and willing to invest millions in this race. Tom is going to need the help of conservatives nationwide to come out on top.
So can I count on you to make sure the Guardian Fund has the resources to defend Tom Cotton and all of our endorsed candidates? Please follow this link to donate $25, $50, $100, or more today.
Thank you in advance for your support of the Guardian Fund and this great patriot, Tom Cotton.
Steadfast and loyal,

Help to repeal Obamacare
From Rand2016:
The numbers are starting to come in and it confirms what you and I knew all along: ObamaCare is a miserable failure.
According to the Wall Street Journal, only 40,000-50,000 people have been able to sign up through the federal website while millions have had their coverage snatched from them because of ObamaCare's regulations.
And the unfortunate Americans being shuffled into the federal exchanges are seeing fewer choices and sky rocketing premiums.
The Administration mouthpieces can blabber all they want about "glitches" and "fixes."
There is only one fix for ObamaCare - repeal.
That's why I need your help right away to turn up the heat on your representative and senators to stand strong in the fight to repeal ObamaCare.
Can I count on your support?
Opponents of ObamaCare must try to stop having it both ways – and stop being afraid of their own shadows.
Instead of trying to appear like they’re fighting, why don’t they actually fight?
If you agree, won’t you please sign your Repeal ObamaCare petition IMMEDIATELY?
With public outrage building against ObamaCare, now is the time you and I CAN force change.
Calls for delay or outright repeal of this law are coming from places you’d never expect – including from organized labor.
The Washington Post reported not long ago that even two-thirds of Democrats believe ObamaCare is all cost and no benefit.
85% of independents agree.
In fact, over the past few weeks - just as I've predicted - more and more mainstream news outlets are saying "ObamaCare is a prescription for a Democratic headache in 2014."
So in the face of numbers like these, will Congress continue to carry water for this failed policy?
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of seeing politicians roll over for President Obama’s job-killing agenda.
The American public's overwhelming opposition to ObamaCare hasn't changed in the three years since President Obama twisted arms and Senate rules to RAM his healthcare takeover into law.
I'm committed to fighting until the day ObamaCare is taken off the books.
I'm confident - with your help - that's a day we can soon realize.
But you and I must prove that we're DEAD serious about winning this fight.
And that means sending a loud and clear signal to my colleagues in Congress to listen to you and repeal ObamaCare.
So won't you please stand with me by signing your Repeal ObamaCare Now petition TODAY?
I hope you will.
And if you can, please agree to a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, or $35.
If that is too much, please chip in a contribution of $25 or $10.
Your generosity will help me turn the American people's overwhelming opposition to ObamaCare into an overwhelming political FORCE Washington, D.C. can't ignore.
Through petitions, phone calls, emails, and more, you and I can put enough grassroots pressure on Congress to force my colleagues to take up the fight to repeal ObamaCare.
But I'm counting on you to take action IMMEDIATELY.
So please sign your Repeal ObamaCare Now petition.
And if you can, please agree to a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, or $35 – or even $10 or $20 – TODAY.
In Liberty,
Senator Rand Paul
P.S. President Obama fibbed when he claimed "If you like your health insurace, you can keep it."
Now millions of Americans are having their health insurance ripped away them because of ObamaCare.
The best fix for this train wreck of a law is to repeal it.
So won't you please stand with me by signing your Repeal ObamaCare petition IMMEDIATELY and agree to your most generous contribution of $250, $150, $50, or $35.
If that is too much for you to afford, please chip in a contribution of $25 or $10 at once.

Help stir up grassroots support for Audit The Fed
From Campaign For Liberty:
This Thursday, the U.S. Senate will begin hearings on the nomination of Janet Yellen to be President Obama’s next Federal Reserve Chair.
So I’m going to put this as bluntly as I possibly can.
With Senator Rand Paul’s announcement that he’s holding this nomination to force Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to allow a debate and vote on Audit the Fed, you and I are facing the best opportunity in 100 years to finally expose this secretive and destructive institution.
Our success or failure all boils down to this: HEAT.
. . . How much heat can we turn up on the U.S. Senate?
That’s why, today, Campaign for Liberty is announcing an emergency Audit the Fed Money Bomb.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 by November 22.
That’s a lot, I know, but that’s what it’s going to take to pay for the mail, email, newspaper ads, and more that you and I will need to force the U.S. Senate on record.
The great news is, you and I have the numbers to win.
In fact, a new Rasmussen poll last week showed that 74% of the American people support a Fed audit!
But polls aren’t enough.
You and I MUST mobilize these folks to take action.
Already, I’m hearing from sources inside the U.S. Senate that they’re receiving phone calls AGAINST auditing the Fed!
My guess is those calls are likely being ginned up by slick K Street lobbyists who understand forcing the Fed to open its books would result in the end of their fat-cat clients feeding off of the government dole.
Let me be clear . . .
The Federal Reserve was Congressman Ron Paul’s top target and priority for over 30 years because this institution serves as the very foundation on which today’s Big Government has been built. Period.
Now, I’m asking you to help me take a SLEDGEHAMMER to that foundation.
Without your support for this Audit the Fed Money Bomb, the fight will be lost before it even begins.
The statists will do anything and everything they can to stop you and me from finally proving to the American people that the Federal Reserve System leads to:
*** Ever-expanding Big Government boondoggles like “ObamaCare.”
Now that politicians have figured out the Fed will just create money out of thin air to pay the bills when taxing and borrowing can’t make ends meet, the floodgates have been blown open wide for BOTH parties’ statist utopian plans;
*** Constant economic crises.
The housing crisis and the resulting chaos is just one example of an economic bubble created by centrally planned interest rates and money manipulation;
*** The destruction of the middle class.
As fuel, food, housing, medical care, and education costs soar, everyone who is NOT on the government dole is forced to make do with less as the value of their money decreases;
*** Currency destruction.
History shows us that riots, violence, and full-scale police states can result when people finally realize their money isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on and REFUSE to accept it.
In fact, I’m afraid this is where we’re headed without your action today.
Right now, our nation is mired in more than $17 TRILLION in national debt.
That’s more than $150,000 per taxpayer.
The secretive Federal Reserve stands behind the scenes, enabling it all while they bail out their cronies both here in the U.S. and overseas.
In fact, earlier this year, news broke that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke bailed out overseas banks to the tune of one TRILLION dollars.
Yet virtually all of the Fed’s actions are done in secret.
What else are they hiding?
How can we allow this rogue institution to continue operating in secret and holding the entire American economy in the palm of its hands?
How can we allow it to continue picking winners and losers, bailing out some and creating money out of thin air to benefit a few while the rest of us pay the price?
If our Republic is to be saved, this MUST end.
But I’m going to need your help.
Of course, I’m not going into this fight naively.
I believe this could be the political fight of our lives.
And with your help, Campaign for Liberty is going to be ready for anything.
But I must have your support during this Audit the Fed Money Bomb.
I know you’ve heard the saying, “No army can stop an idea whose time has come.”
Today, I’m asking you to help me prove that the time to restore the country we both love is now.
To do that, Campaign for Liberty simply must reach our $250,000 goal.
Turning up the heat isn’t easy - or cheap.
So I’ve set three phases for Campaign for Liberty’s Audit the Fed Money Bomb.
Reaching the first $85,000 level will pay for a targeted mail and email program to turn up the heat on certain members of the United States Senate.
But that alone won’t be enough to overcome the statists.
I need to raise another $60,000 to help pay for Internet, radio, and newspaper ads in targeted states.
Phase III, which will enable me to run hard-hitting TV ads turning up the heat on key U.S. Senators – including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid - but requires more than Phase I and Phase II at $105,000.
This is the plan. This is what it will take to force the Senate on record.
Just having a vote on this issue is a win/win for you and me.
Perhaps it passes and then President Obama – a President already embarrassed by the failures of his signature health care initiative – will have to decide if he really wants to veto this bipartisan bill and set his party up for crushing defeat at the ballot box.
Or perhaps it’s defeated, and incumbent Senators have to go back to their home states and explain to voters why they don’t believe in transparency at the Fed.
Good luck with that.
Good luck with finding voters – of either party – who believe crony capitalism, bailouts, handouts, and creating money out of thin air to pay the bills are great ideas.
After the Fed spent decades operating in the shadows, Ron Paul put this issue on the political map in 2008.
Five years later, you and I have a chance to make a giant step – a leap – forward in our battle to Audit the Fed.
But it won’t happen unless you can help Campaign for Liberty turn up enough heat on the Senate to finally force it on record.
So please agree to your most generous contribution of $15 right away to help us reach our $250,000 goal by November 22.
I know that’s much more than you’ve done in the past, but I also know you understand how serious this is.
But if $15 is just too much, please agree to $10 or at least $5 IMMEDIATELY.
To win this fight, I’m going to need all hands on deck.
So please agree to your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or at least $5 right away!
