Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary Celebrated in Russia
Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- An opening ceremony of the Kimjongilia, Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition was held in Artyom City, Russia on March 20 to mark the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Displayed in the exhibition were photos showing exploits of leader Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
Participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.
Speeches were made there.
The mayor of the Artyom city administration said that Kim Il Sung will always live in the hearts of not only the Korean people but also the progressive people, adding that he turned the DPRK into a powerful nation independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence, shining with Juche and opened a historic chapter of friendship between Russia and DPRK.
The first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Committee of the Russian Youth Union said that humankind is remembering Kim Il Sung, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, who devoted all his life to peace and friendship and solidarity among people.
A secretary of the Artyom Branch of the United Russia Party said that the voices supporting the just cause of the Korean people for the anti-imperialist independence and national reunification are growing stronger worldwide.
The secretary noted that humankind is highly praising Kim Jong Un, the supreme leader of the Korean people, as a world leader.
A performance was given by artists of Artyom City at the end of the opening ceremony.

On North Korea
One of the things I like to discuss is North Korea. Yes,next to gender issues North Korea is of interest to me. I'm not Korean so it has nothing to do with heretige. It has more to do with politics. Communist regimes are of interest because I knew the realities of the cold war. I went through it. The last Stalinist country left is North Korea. You can't say their leadership is sane,not by a long shot. This is the reality: If Kim Cube goes south of the 38th parrell he's going to wish he hadn't. Or maybe not. He knows Mr. Empty Suit in the White House won't do anything. Obama and his administration let the Arab world fall to Al Qadea. Dead ambassador in Bennigazi? What dead ambassador in Bennigazi? Let's sweep it under the rug. Let's see: if we move Fast and Furious over here and Solyndra over there and place racist civil rights violations up on top then we should be able to fit it in. Obama promised a transparent government,as did Bill Clinton,and has delievered the opposite,as has Bill Clinton.
Let's use metaphors to summerize things:

We could rely upon the UN but when you consider that the "UN" actually means "YoU Never going to find a more worthless organization" those hopes are dashed.

He knows the Republicans will retake the White House in 2016 and if the new Republican president is Reaganesque on foreign policy then Kim's time is over and North Korea will have a major problem on its hands so he's getting while the gettings good. Al Qadea did the same thing in the middle east. If Kim Cube does this crap on that Republican's watch North Korea will be bomb out of existence. North Korea will be a giant parking lot and Kim knows it. His rhetoric has put every American and South Korean soldier on alert. There's more to come. Stay tuned.

Reform the CFAA

It's a slap in the face: The whole Internet is clamoring for reform of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act because it stifles innovation and even imprisons activists and innovators like Aaron Swartz. (And could easily have been used against Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and countless others.)
So what are some Republicans in the House thinking about doing? Expanding it, and instituting even harsher penalties.
This is completely unacceptable.

The new law would heighten penalties -- creating the possibility of up to 30 years in prison for a single broadly-defined offense -- make it easy to be considered a conspirator, and entrench law enforcement's assertions that they should be able to put you in prison for violating terms of serivce agreements!
This is an awful affront to all of the work we've been doing and to the cries for justice in the wake of Aaron's passing. Please help us beat this thing down!

I think they should take a civics course because that is NOT how it's done in this country. It's We The People so let's remind them of that. If you agree with us sign the petition. The freedom you preserve may be your own.

A message from Ron Paul

This is getting to be like a bad movie.
You know the ones - where the villain, dead and buried more times than you can count, somehow mysteriously reappears in a place you don't expect him?
Well, here comes. . . a new fight over a biometric National ID card - and if you don't have the card, you can't work.
Right now, freedom-stealing statists Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), banding together with members of both parties, are scheming to sneak a massive power grab into a new "immigration reform" bill.
This bill is a statist's dream - a biometric ID card for every American.
In fact, when asked recently if he favored "a super Social Security card that would have some sort of biometric thing like a fingerprint," John McCain said, "I'm for it"!
That's why it's vital you sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L to make your voice heard on this issue IMMEDIATELY.
I'll give you the link in a moment, but first let me explain exactly what's at stake.
If passed, this dangerous scheme would require a new National ID card that would:
*** Include biometric identification information, such as fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, which could easily be used as a tracking device;
*** Be required for all U.S. workers regardless of place of birth, making it illegal for anyone to hold a job in the United States who doesn't obtain the ID card;
*** Require all employers to purchase an "ID scanner" to verify the ID cards with the federal government. Every time any citizen applies for a job, the government would know - and you can bet it's only a matter of time until "ID scans" will be required to make even routine purchases, as well. That's why it's vital you sign your "No National ID" petition to C4L right away.
Of course, the most dangerous part of the bill is the biometric tracking technology, which would allow federal bureaucrats to track our every move.
Allowing our government to have this much "prying power" in our lives will ultimately result in the TOTAL loss of freedom.
This is exactly the type of battle that often decides whether a country remains free or continues down a slide toward tyranny.
Government goon squads with all our personal information - information they do not need and constitutionally should not have - is a recipe for disaster for our nation.
You see, once "well-meaning" government bureaucrats know exactly how we live our lives, it won't be long until they try to run them.
In fact, it will only be a matter of time until they spend their workdays making sure you and I don't go anywhere, read anything, eat anything, or drink anything they think we "shouldn't be allowed to."
Once that door opens, how long before the statists start telling us what we can teach our children? Or where we can go to church? Or what God we are "allowed" to worship?
It's clear this battle isn't really about immigration.
Whatever you think of that issue, it's simply being used as cover.
This fight is about being able to watch and control your every move.
If there is good news to report, it's that, thanks to the help of activists like you, liberty-minded Americans have been able to render the Big Government politicians' National ID nearly toothless in numerous states across the country.
And C4L has been vital in helping to hold off their attempt to implement their cherished National ID scheme for the last few years.
But the statists are growing nervous.
They know the American people are FED UP with TRILLION-dollar deficits, massive new tax hikes, all-out assaults on our God-given right to keep and bear arms, and their other attempts to control every aspect of our lives.
They see your outrage is producing results, and many of their outrageous schemes are failing.
The American people are rising up in state after state to say "Enough," and brushfires of liberty are sweeping the nation.
So the statists are trying a bipartisan, "backdoor" scheme to impose more control over the American people.
They're hoping that after months of Big Media mouthpieces decrying the "poisonous and partisan politics" in Washington, the American people will jump for joy at the sight of a Democrat from liberal New York and a Republican from conservative Arizona "working together to solve our immigration mess."
Well, you and I know better.
After all, activists can hardly find two Senators with bigger vendettas against the liberty movement than Senator Chuck Schumer and Senator John McCain.
Senator McCain, along with his buddy Lindsey Graham, has very publicly denounced the liberty movement.
As I'm sure you remember, instead of standing with Senator Rand Paul during his historic filibuster, John McCain and Lindsey Graham were having dinner with President Obama.
And the next day, they lashed out against Rand, calling his filibuster "ridiculous."
They've clearly shown they believe we're not welcome in THEIR party.
That's one reason why I'm counting on you to FIGHT back by signing your "No National ID" petition to C4L IMMEDIATELY.
The only way to DEFEAT a new National ID card is to contact Americans from coast-to-coast and explain EXACTLY what's at stake.
They're not going to get the real story from the mainstream media. And they're surely not going to get the real story from the Washington establishment.

Good news from Campaign For Liberty
From Campaign For Liberty:
As I've mentioned to you previously, Campaign for Liberty is growing fast and making great strides to advance freedom. To show you just a few of these success stories, I've had Campaign for Liberty staff contact our state coordinators for updates on some of the battles they've been fighting and some of their victories.
You'll be pleased to know that C4L supporters are having tremendous success, and our state groups are adding new members every day.
Reports are still coming in, but below is an overview of some of Campaign for Liberty supporters' recent successes.
MASSACHUSETTS
Leah Cole, a nurse and young supporter of yours, won the March 5 Special Primary Election for the Massachusetts General Court.
Leah now has an excellent opportunity to win the General Election on April 2nd and head to Beacon Hill.
As I'm sure you recall, your supporters won a number of Massachusetts' National Convention delegates, and even though your campaign has ended, they clearly haven't stopped fighting for liberty.
NORTH CAROLINA
Campaign for Liberty supporters in North Carolina have been busy fighting two major battles this year.
The first battle was to stop the Medicaid expansion called for under ObamaCare.
Last year, former Democrat Governor Bev Perdue accepted federal grant money in exchange for setting up a state and federal Medicaid exchange program.
But North Carolinians elected Republican Pat McCrory in November.
McCrory didn't speak out about Medicaid expansion on his campaign, so Campaign for Liberty supporters immediately began using email, faxes, petitions, and postcards to mobilize on this issue.
After some back and forth about whether ObamaCare was the "law of the land," and a public exchange between the House Speaker and North Carolina C4L State Coordinator Adam Love, McCrory came out against the Medicaid expansion, and the State Legislature passed a bill to opt-out of the Medicaid expansion and a health insurance exchange.
Governor McCrory signed the bill into law.
A second fight has been waged against an effort by the NFL's Carolina Panthers to secure a taxpayer subsidy to renovate Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Panthers originally asked for $62.5 million in taxpayer money - paid for by an increase in Charlotte's Prepared Food and Beverage Tax.
Campaign for Liberty supporters sent emails and made phone calls to the North Carolina House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tem urging them not to hike taxes to fund the Panther's renovation.
Not long after, Governor McCrory issued a statement saying state money was a no-go, and State Representatives from the Charlotte area said tax hikes were off the table.
Instead, they put forward legislation to authorize the Charlotte City Council to re-purpose local tax money to the Panthers.
C4L supporters are currently fighting that bill.
DELAWARE
Since the year 2000, the Appoquinimink School District has literally gotten away with virtually any tax hike or spending increase they wanted. This year, the School District put forth a referendum to increase taxes.
The last time there was a referendum to hike taxes, it passed by a vote of 2,229 to 409.
But thanks to the hard work of C4L supporters, this year was different.
C4L state leaders ran pre-recorded phone calls to 7,300 targeted voters letting them know their property taxes were about to increase by $23 million - more than 24%.
A record 8,934 people showed up at the polls, and the tax hike was defeated 4,633 to 3,301.
GEORGIA
Charlie Gregory, Georgia State Coordinator for your Presidential Campaign, got elected to the State House and has been leading the fight for liberty in the General Assembly.
Despite threats and intimidation from the establishment, Charlie hasn't backed down and is fighting hard to protect liberty.
Because Representative Gregory voted against one of their gun-control schemes, I've been told the establishment is withholding funds from his district as "punishment" for opposing gun control.
The good news is, C4L supporter David Stover won a recent special election for State House in Georgia, so Charlie is no longer the lone voice fighting for constitutional government.
Georgia also held their Republican County Conventions last week to elect delegates to the upcoming District and State Conventions.
Numerous Campaign for Liberty supporters were elected as delegates to both the State and District Conventions, and many even got elected to positions within the Party.
Here's a brief summary of some of their successes.
In Coweta, the third largest GOP in the state, C4L dominated, taking both the Chair and the Vice Chair positions. In Warner Robbins (Houston County), the stronghold of the 8th District, C4L supporters won the majority of delegates.
In Fayette County, C4L folks swept all leadership positions within the County Party. In Bibb County, C4L folks made gains and got a resolution passed demanding passage of Charlie Gregory's HB 26 - the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act.
And in Dekalb, C4L supporters defeated a massive property tax increase.
IOWA
Friends of liberty have made tremendous strides in the "First in the Nation" state of Iowa in getting elected or reelected to major offices within the state Republican Party.
A former high-ranking officer of the Iowa GOP went on record talking about how many people "from the Campaign for Liberty" have taken over prominent positions, and that comment came before their latest election, when one of your supporters was elected as co-chair of the Iowa GOP!
Members of our movement now hold the chair, co-chair, Executive Director, Organization Director, and Finance Chair positions in the Iowa GOP.
MISSOURI
In Missouri - the largest caucus state in the nation - grassroots liberty activists mobilized and successfully elected an anti-establishment candidate as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, beating Senator Roy Blunt's hand-picked candidate.
NEVADA
In Nevada, liberty-minded Republicans gained control of the majority of the state and municipal party leadership.
MAINE
In Maine, Washington State, and many other states and localities across the country, the same holds true, as liberty-minded activists are getting elected to positions of party leadership.
OTHER STATES

As I've mentioned to you previously, Campaign for Liberty is growing fast and making great strides to advance freedom. To show you just a few of these success stories, I've had Campaign for Liberty staff contact our state coordinators for updates on some of the battles they've been fighting and some of their victories.
You'll be pleased to know that C4L supporters are having tremendous success, and our state groups are adding new members every day.
Reports are still coming in, but below is an overview of some of Campaign for Liberty supporters' recent successes.
MASSACHUSETTS
Leah Cole, a nurse and young supporter of yours, won the March 5 Special Primary Election for the Massachusetts General Court.
Leah now has an excellent opportunity to win the General Election on April 2nd and head to Beacon Hill.
As I'm sure you recall, your supporters won a number of Massachusetts' National Convention delegates, and even though your campaign has ended, they clearly haven't stopped fighting for liberty.
NORTH CAROLINA
Campaign for Liberty supporters in North Carolina have been busy fighting two major battles this year.
The first battle was to stop the Medicaid expansion called for under ObamaCare.
Last year, former Democrat Governor Bev Perdue accepted federal grant money in exchange for setting up a state and federal Medicaid exchange program.
But North Carolinians elected Republican Pat McCrory in November.
McCrory didn't speak out about Medicaid expansion on his campaign, so Campaign for Liberty supporters immediately began using email, faxes, petitions, and postcards to mobilize on this issue.
After some back and forth about whether ObamaCare was the "law of the land," and a public exchange between the House Speaker and North Carolina C4L State Coordinator Adam Love, McCrory came out against the Medicaid expansion, and the State Legislature passed a bill to opt-out of the Medicaid expansion and a health insurance exchange.
Governor McCrory signed the bill into law.
A second fight has been waged against an effort by the NFL's Carolina Panthers to secure a taxpayer subsidy to renovate Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The Panthers originally asked for $62.5 million in taxpayer money - paid for by an increase in Charlotte's Prepared Food and Beverage Tax.
Campaign for Liberty supporters sent emails and made phone calls to the North Carolina House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tem urging them not to hike taxes to fund the Panther's renovation.
Not long after, Governor McCrory issued a statement saying state money was a no-go, and State Representatives from the Charlotte area said tax hikes were off the table.
Instead, they put forward legislation to authorize the Charlotte City Council to re-purpose local tax money to the Panthers.
C4L supporters are currently fighting that bill.
DELAWARE
Since the year 2000, the Appoquinimink School District has literally gotten away with virtually any tax hike or spending increase they wanted. This year, the School District put forth a referendum to increase taxes.
The last time there was a referendum to hike taxes, it passed by a vote of 2,229 to 409.
But thanks to the hard work of C4L supporters, this year was different.
C4L state leaders ran pre-recorded phone calls to 7,300 targeted voters letting them know their property taxes were about to increase by $23 million - more than 24%.
A record 8,934 people showed up at the polls, and the tax hike was defeated 4,633 to 3,301.
GEORGIA
Charlie Gregory, Georgia State Coordinator for your Presidential Campaign, got elected to the State House and has been leading the fight for liberty in the General Assembly.
Despite threats and intimidation from the establishment, Charlie hasn't backed down and is fighting hard to protect liberty.
Because Representative Gregory voted against one of their gun-control schemes, I've been told the establishment is withholding funds from his district as "punishment" for opposing gun control.
The good news is, C4L supporter David Stover won a recent special election for State House in Georgia, so Charlie is no longer the lone voice fighting for constitutional government.
Georgia also held their Republican County Conventions last week to elect delegates to the upcoming District and State Conventions.
Numerous Campaign for Liberty supporters were elected as delegates to both the State and District Conventions, and many even got elected to positions within the Party.
Here's a brief summary of some of their successes.
In Coweta, the third largest GOP in the state, C4L dominated, taking both the Chair and the Vice Chair positions. In Warner Robbins (Houston County), the stronghold of the 8th District, C4L supporters won the majority of delegates.
In Fayette County, C4L folks swept all leadership positions within the County Party. In Bibb County, C4L folks made gains and got a resolution passed demanding passage of Charlie Gregory's HB 26 - the Georgia Constitutional Carry Act.
And in Dekalb, C4L supporters defeated a massive property tax increase.
IOWA
Friends of liberty have made tremendous strides in the "First in the Nation" state of Iowa in getting elected or reelected to major offices within the state Republican Party.
A former high-ranking officer of the Iowa GOP went on record talking about how many people "from the Campaign for Liberty" have taken over prominent positions, and that comment came before their latest election, when one of your supporters was elected as co-chair of the Iowa GOP!
Members of our movement now hold the chair, co-chair, Executive Director, Organization Director, and Finance Chair positions in the Iowa GOP.
MISSOURI
In Missouri - the largest caucus state in the nation - grassroots liberty activists mobilized and successfully elected an anti-establishment candidate as Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, beating Senator Roy Blunt's hand-picked candidate.
NEVADA
In Nevada, liberty-minded Republicans gained control of the majority of the state and municipal party leadership.
MAINE
In Maine, Washington State, and many other states and localities across the country, the same holds true, as liberty-minded activists are getting elected to positions of party leadership.
OTHER STATES

Defend the Constituion

This Wednesday, as you know, I stood for 13 hours filibustering Senate business to defend our Constitution.
I could not just sit on the sidelines and allow the Obama Administration to openly disregard the Constitution by claiming the authority to use drones strikes to kill American citizens on American soil without due process.
Thanks to your support, the Obama Administration caved and finally gave me the answer I was asking for in writing.
You and I and millions of Americans stood together to send a clear message to the Obama Administration: We will not tolerate the trampling of our Constitution!
And today, I'm asking you to stand with me, once again, by signing your Defend the Constitution Petition.
You see, the fight to restore liberty in America is far from over!
In fact, several Senators from my own party are defending President Obama and attacking me and those who stood with me, calling us "Wackos!"
This saddens me more than anything. I believe we need more strong men and women in Washington who are willing to fight for the principles you and I hold so dear.
