It seems that every group I am in contact with is focused upon one single issue: Stop Senator Harry Reid from gutting the filibuster rule. The filibuster has served the people well over the years at the expense of the statists and other members of the PTB. They know this and now is why they want to completely kill the filibuster or if that is not possible severely weaken it. Yep,it seems filibuster reform is as is popular as a turd in a punchbowl. As your faxes, emails, and phone calls keep pouring into your Senators' offices urging them to oppose Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's latest scheme, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is reportedly looking to cut a deal to water down the filibuster.

Many grassroots activists remember some of the deals McConnell has made over the years, but this might be the worst one yet.

In fact, the vote to gut the filibuster could be the most important vote this Senate takes in the next two years.

You see, reliable sources indicate that Harry Reid knows he does NOT have the 51 votes he needs to completely wipe out the filibuster with the so-called "nuclear option" yet.

Just this week, Communications Workers of America (CWA) union bosses announced a massive spending blitz to pay for television and Internet ads in support of Reid's plan to gut the filibuster.

They know that the filibuster is what has stopped some of their most dangerous legislation from becoming law over the years, including:

Card Check Forced Unionism, which would have eliminated the secret ballot in union organizing campaigns;

Police/Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining, the bill that was designed to FORCE virtually every first responder in the country under union boss control;

Repeal of Section 14b of the Taft-Hartley Act, thereby dismantling all 24 duly-enacted state Right to Work laws at once.

If Mitch McConnell cuts a deal, all of those issues could eventually be back on the table.

The vote could come as soon as Tuesday, so there's not a moment to lose.
