Get the Dems to oppose TPP

From The Nation:

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement is a corporate trade and investment deal that would ship US jobs overseas, undermine efforts to address climate change, undercut Wall Street reform, and raise drug prices. It is opposed by the labor movement, almost all environmental groups, and access-to-medicine groups like Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

So why do so many Democrats still support it?

We’ve joined with Just Foreign Policy, OpenMedia, and many others to call on Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, to publicly oppose the TPP. Will you join us?

Only 28 House Democrats voted for “fast track” legislation to enable the TPP to be completed. One of the 28 was Schultz.

Thanks in part to activists fighting for everything from Internet freedom to access to medical care to workers’ rights, more and more politicians have come out against the TPP, including Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. As a leader of the Democratic Party, Debbie Wasserman Schultz should join them in opposing the TPP, and should pledge now to vote against the agreement in Congress. Her high-profile opposition would be a game-changer in ensuring that the agreement never passes Congress.

Join us now in calling on Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to oppose the TPP.

TPP is also a threat to our Constitution and internet freedoms so don't just dismiss it.
