Sign petition to defund Obamacare

From Rand2016:

Three years.

That’s how long President Obama and his administration had to get his “signature" ObamaCare law ready for “prime time."

Apparently, three years wasn’t enough.

On the Sunday shows over the weekend, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew refused to answer questions about how many people were actually signing up in ObamaCare’s health exchanges.

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney once again dodged questions.

You’d think the Obama administration would be chomping at the bit to brag about the American public’s mad rush to sign up.

But the truth is, that isn’t happening.

The ObamaCare website just flat-out doesn’t work.

The Wall Street Journal reports that according to IT experts who have reviewed the website, “the site appeared to be built on a sloppy software foundation."

As users try to create accounts, the website crashes.

Answers to security questions, used to confirm identities of people who sign up, were missing from drop-down boxes.

After that problem was resolved, the website still couldn't process applications!

One retiree became so fed up with the ObamaCare website, he called in to talk to an ObamaCare customer service representative – only to find out she was unable help him because she couldn’t work with the website either.

Even in states that have set up their own exchanges, there’s hardly a stampede of interest.

Only 326 people in Maryland have signed up.

Does this increase your confidence in our federal government’s ability to run 1/6th of the American economy?

Of course not.

That's why I hope you'll sign your NO FUNDING FOR OBAMACARE Petition right away.

And after you sign your petition, please make a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50 or even $35.

If that is too much for you to afford, please chip in a contribution of $25 or $10 to help me mobilize the grassroots to encourage Republicans to stand strong against President Obama's attempts to bully Republicans into funding ObamaCare.

Sadly, I’m afraid all of this pales in comparison to the steep economic costs you and I are going to end up paying.

For months now, you and I have heard horror stories of dramatically rising insurance premiums and companies laying off workers and cutting hours “thanks" to ObamaCare.

Now, news reports all over the country are reporting that families are being notified their existing insurance is being cancelled.

They can renew – just at dramatically higher premiums.

Today, our nation is approaching $17 TRILLION in debt. ObamaCare alone is expected to add $2.6 TRILLION over the next ten years in money we simply don’t have.

So what is it we’re getting for all of the increased cost?

Judging from the past week-and-a-half, it seems like a giant mess.

Yet President Obama is still refusing to negotiate?

He’s refusing to lift a finger to stop the economic train wreck resulting from his “signature" healthcare bill?

Even Jon Stewart of Comedy Central – hardly a died-in-the-wool conservative – recently grilled Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius over the fact the Obama administration issued a waiver delaying the employer mandate, but won’t allow so much as a conversation about the individual mandate.

This is outrageous.

As a physician, I can tell you one of the fundamental principles of medicine is first, "do no harm."

I’ve always done whatever I could to follow that principle in my medical practice.

If you agree our federal government should start thinking about following it, as well, I hope you'll sign your NO FUNDING FOR OBAMACARE Petition right away.

And if you can, please agree to a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, or $35.

If that is too much, please chip in a contribution of $25 or $10.

Your generosity will help me turn the American people's overwhelming opposition to ObamaCare into an overwhelming political FORCE Washington, D.C. can't ignore.

Through petitions, phone calls, emails, and more, you and I can put enough grassroots pressure on Congress to force my colleagues to take up the fight to defund ObamaCare.

But I'm counting on you to take action IMMEDIATELY.

So please sign your NO FUNDING FOR OBAMACARE Petition.

And if you can, please agree to a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, $35 – or even $10 or $20 – TODAY.

In Liberty,

Senator Rand Paul

P.S. Glitches, layoffs, cut hours, higher premiums . . .

ObamaCare is expected to cost $2.6 TRILLION over the next ten years, and this is what we’re paying for?

If you agree ObamaCare is an economic train wreck, I hope you will sign your NO FUNDING FOR OBAMACARE petition right away.

And after you sign your petition, please make a generous contribution of $250, $100, $50, $35 - or even chip in a contribution of $25 or $10 - to help me lead the fight against ObamaCare.
