Oppose forced unionism

From The National Right To Work Committee:

The November mid-term elections are fast approaching.

And Big Labor’s go-to-guy -- Harry Reid -- is faced with the threat of losing his majority in the U.S. Senate.

So you can be sure the union bosses are pulling out all the stops.

In the fight for a National Right to Work law, opponents of forced unionism will face a showdown against the full might of Big Labor.

The stakes for this year couldn’t be higher.

That's why it’s vital that you act at once to ignite massive public support for a National Right to Work bill.

That's why the Committee is launching our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" with the goal of raising $100,000 by Thursday, July 24.

And a generous supporter of Right to Work has agreed to help us get there by matching all first-time contributions dollar for dollar.

I'll give you the link to donate to this critical effort in just a moment.

But first let me explain why RIGHT NOW is the best time to turn up the heat on Congress to force a vote on a National Right to Work Act.

You see, the November 2014 mid-term elections are rapidly approaching.

And there are a number of Big Labor-appeasing Senators -- many from staunchly pro-Right to Work states -- who are faced with tough re-elections.

During the upcoming August recess, these vulnerable incumbent Senators will be busy crisscrossing their state in an effort to win support from their constituents.

As you know, politicians listen most closely to the folks back home when they are out campaigning for votes -- instead of sitting safely in Washington.

That's why -- RIGHT NOW -- is the time when you and I must mobilize the nearly 80% of Americans who support Right to Work to DEMAND their elected officials vote on the National Right to Work Act.

And your Committee is preparing to launch a state-of-the-art grassroots mobilization program designed to do just that.

In fact, my staff is putting the finishing touches on one of the sample TV ads we'd like to run in target states. I'll send you the link to watch the ad as soon as it's finished.

These hard-hitting ads will shine the light of public opinion on fence-sitting Senators.

Just by mobilizing Americans on Right to Work, we can bring the forced-unionism issue to the forefront of the people's minds, and that in itself will increase the effectiveness of our 2014 election year voter education and mobilization program as we approach the November elections.

Of course, the Committee cannot do any of this without your generous financial support.

That's why for this battle to succeed it's vital that you make a generous contribution to our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" IMMEDIATELY.

And remember, your generous contribution will be matched dollar for dollar.

So, if you give a gift of $10, you'll actually be giving $20! If you can sacrifice $25, your generous contribution will equal out to $50!

This support will allow us to have a roll-call vote on a National Right to Work Act.

The last thing Big Labor is counting on is a public, roll-call vote on a National Right to Work Act.

The one-page National Right to Work Act doesn’t add a single word to federal law. It simply strikes those sections that grant Big Labor’s compulsory unionism privileges.

And a roll-call vote right now will put each and every one of Big Labor’s forced dues allies in the U.S. Senate on record in time for the November elections.

With nearly 75% of the American people opposed to forced unionism, just getting a vote is a win/win situation for Right to Work supporters.

You see, every time in the past fifty years when there has been a public, roll-call vote in Congress on whether or not workers should be forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment, Big Labor's puppets have gone down in flames at the ballot box.

For example, in the 1994 elections, 33 members of Congress were tossed out of office by their constituents after voting for Ted Kennedy's Pushbutton Strike Bill -- which would have given union bosses new strike powers to force workers to pay union dues.

And after the 2010 “Card Check” battle, Big Labor politicians were defeated in 11 of the 17 targeted Senate districts and 40 of the 49 targeted House districts.

And staunch Right to Work heroes like Senator Rand Paul, who is leading the charge on our Right to Work bill, were swept into office.

So the politicians in the U.S. Congress will face a choice:

Vote to free America’s workers from the shackles of forced unionism –- or answer to angry voters in November.

Of course, taking on the full might of Big Labor in 2014 won't be easy and you and I have our work cut out for us.

But at this critical juncture in American history, it’s vital you and I seize this opportunity to expose Big Labor's allies in Congress.

That's why it’s vital that you agree to make a generous contribution TODAY

And because a generous supporter has agreed to match your donation, your contribution will doubled!

The fact is, the groundswell for the National Right to Work Act has been building as Right to Work supporters across the country sent petitions, postcards, letters and emails to their Senators and Congressmen, urging action on the Right to Work bill.

But there is still much more to be done.

The Committee must mobilize even more Americans through carefully targeted mailings, emails and phone calls to build pressure on waffling Senators as the vote draws near.

And, in the days leading up to the vote, the Committee also plans to run targeted TV ads in key Senate districts across the country.

I must tell you that the success of this effort is based solely on the support of folks like you.

That’s why I hope you'll agree to give your maximum possible contribution -- $25, if possible today.

If $25 is simply too much to ask, then I hope you'll consider a contribution of $15 or $5.

I'm afraid if I don't receive an immediate influx of financial support, I won't be able to implement this aggressive plan to force a vote on a National Right to Work Act.

Please don't wait to give your contribution.

The Committee must have your donation by July 24 in order to properly budget expenses for the fight.

If that doesn't happen, then Big Labor’s forced-dues BILLIONS may derail our National Right to Work Act without so much as a vote.

That’s why it’s vital you chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $5 today.

And remember, thanks to a generous supporter of Right to Work, your generous contribution will be matched dollar for dollar.

Thank you in advance for your most generous support.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix

P.S. Since most Americans oppose Big Labor’s forced-unionism powers, a public debate on a National Right to Work law is Big Labor’s (and their water-carriers’ in Congress) worst nightmare!

And there's no better time than RIGHT NOW to turn up the heat on Congress.

That's why the Committee is launching our "Election Year TV Ad Vote Blitz" with the goal of raising $100,000 by Thursday, July 24.

So please chip in your most generous contribution of $25, $15 or $5 today.

And because a generous supporter has agreed to match your donation, your contribution will doubled!
