Gay bill of special rights goes to the House

The next few days could determine the fate of the radical Gay Bill of Special Rights.

It just passed the Senate for the first time ever, and could pass the House at any moment and make it to Barack Obama's desk for his signature.

Will you take action today to help defeat this bill?

Misnamed the "Employment Non-Discrimination Act" (S. 815/H.R. 1755), this dangerous piece of the radical Homosexual Agenda creates special protected class status for homosexuals and guts the religious liberties protected by the First Amendment.

And now, it is closer than ever to becoming the law of the land.

That's why I am readying an all-out grassroots blitz on the House targeted intensely on Republican House leadership.

I'll tell you more about my plan in a minute, but first, I'd like to tell you just how dangerously close we are to passing the Gay Bill of Special Rights into law.

Honestly, you should be afraid of the fact that our religious liberties are in the less-than-capable hands of House Speaker John Boehner.

Because time after time he has sold out conservatives to Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their radical liberal agenda.

By using Democrat and "moderate" Republican votes, Speaker Boehner has continually shown he is willing to sacrifice principle for his own political convenience and comfort.

From the Fiscal Cliff to the pork-filled Hurricane Sandy relief package to countless raising of the debt ceiling, his track record is one of bending over backwards to satisfy Obama's every whim.

His willingness to hold votes he knows conservative Republicans will lose is exactly why he cannot be trusted in this fight.

The Gay Bill of Special Rights is simply too dangerous to just hope and pray that this time Boehner will stand firm.

And that is why I am immediately launching Public Advocate's Emergency Battleground Action Initiative.

Because after months of fighting this bill in the Senate, we may only have days to prevent the same betrayal of our values in the House of Representatives.

That's why I need you to contribute a generous gift of $20 to Public Advocate's Emergency Battleground Action Initiative right away.

I know that seems like a lot to ask, so if $20 is more than you can afford, I hope you'll consider a gift of $15, $10, or even chipping in $5 to help Public Advocate fight the Gay Bill of Special Rights in the House.

Unfortunately, our efforts in the Senate have almost completely drained Public Advocate's finances.

If Speaker Boehner were to announce a House vote on the Gay Bill of Special Rights when the House session resumes on November 12th, I'm worried we won't have the resources to fight it.

Public Advocate's grassroots strategy has a proven track record of success.

But internet banners, action mail items, electronic fax petitions, and other targeted efforts are not cheap.

In fact, I've spent thousands of dollars in the last few weeks alone.

Now don't get me wrong, they are worth every penny.

Just recently, I personally fielded a call from a Senate office begging me to call off my supporters.

In the end, we got the vote we wanted from that Senator.

But as a responsible private citizen (and a committed Christian), I cannot spend money I do not have.

By my estimates, Public Advocate will need to raise at least $50,000 in the next 10 days if we want to be at full strength for the coming fight.

Ever since it was first introduced by radical homosexual Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) over two decades ago, I have led Public Advocate's fight against this freedom-killing piece of the Homosexual Agenda.

If the Gay Bill of Special Rights were to become law, the damage to America's moral fabric, economic freedom, and religious liberty would be instant and severe.

Imagine an America where the government forbids churches, religious schools, and private businesses from running their organizations in accordance to their values...

Where Christian parents no longer have the option of sending their children to private schools that are not forced by law to hire homosexual teachers...

And where business owners must provide services in support of events that directly contradict their morals.

Does that sound like a nation our Founding Fathers would be proud of?

Absolutely not.

It's a fight we simply can't afford to lose.

Because of our struggle against the radical Homosexual Agenda, I have been attacked and targeted with hateful persecution.

My family and I have been threatened on many occasions.

I've spent many sleepless nights fearing for our safety.

But it is a burden I am willing to bear to defend America's long history of religious freedom endowed to us from our Founding Fathers.

Because if we fail in this fight, I know the same hatred and threats I have endured will be unleashed -- with the blessing of our government -- upon every God-fearing man, woman, and child in America who dares to stand up for Christian values.

That has been a nightmare that has haunted me for many long years.

It's what has kept me in the office late into the night.

It's what has driven me on many lonely road trips, spending days and weeks at a time far from my loving family to face the hatred of rabid anti-Family, anti-Christian activists.

To fight against the radical Homosexual Agenda wherever it rears its ugly head in our great country.

But it's also what has taken nearly all of the funds I've been able to muster for this fight.

So please, won't you join my efforts through Public Advocate by supporting our Emergency Battleground Action Initiative with a generous gift of $20, $15, $10, $5, or whatever you can afford?

You can be sure that Speaker Boehner and other "moderate" House Republicans are already searching for ways they can pass the Gay Bill of Special Rights with the least amount of effort possible.

But we won't let the radical Homosexual Lobby take one more step closer to achieving their goal of protected class status.

Please click here to make your generous contribution to our Emergency Battleground Action Initiative right away.

For the Family,

HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.

P.S. Although we were able to stall the Gay Bill of Special Rights in the Senate for months, we may only have a few days to stop its advance when the House resumes its session on November 12th.

That's why I hope you'll help Public Advocate raise $50,000 through our Emergency Battleground Action Initiative by November 17th by giving $20 or whatever you can afford.

This is a fight we can't afford to lose.
