Pressure Harry Reid to Audit The Fed

From Campaign For Liberty:

The first volley in our battle to get Harry Reid to hold an up or down, roll call vote on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill (S. 209) starts in just a few short hours!

At 10am eastern today, the Senate Banking Committee will hold a hearing on Janet Yellen's nomination to be the next Fed Chair.

It is possible at least one senator will discuss Audit the Fed and ask Yellen how she can justify allowing the Fed to operate in the dark.

Campaign for Liberty has been providing key staffers of Committee members with information on why auditing the Fed is so important, as part of our efforts to advance the Audit the Fed bill on Capitol Hill.

Over the past several months, Campaign for Liberty's legislative team has also met with other key Capitol Hill staff to brief them on Audit the Fed and deliver your petitions in support of the bill.

And our outreach is making an impact...

Since September, the number of House cosponsors on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill, H.R. 24, has climbed from 152 to 169!

And the number of Senate cosponsors on S. 209 has gone from 24 to 27.

Our staff has done this while also being heavily engaged in battles over government funding, the debt ceiling, and efforts to stop ObamaCare, as well as fighting to stop the National ID program and the Internet Tax Mandate from advancing in the House.

And, of course, our staff has been working hard in a (so far) successful effort to block Representative Mel Watt's nomination to head the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

My staff informs me that many of those they meet with comment on how effective Campaign for Liberty members have been in putting the heat on Congress and making Audit the Fed a major national issue.

But now is the time for all of us to ratchet up our efforts!

So, if you are able, please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 today to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb.

As you know, Senator Rand Paul has put a hold on the nomination of Janet Yellen to be Federal Reserve Chair while requesting that Harry Reid finally agree to hold an up or down, roll call vote on Audit the Fed.

This gives us our best opportunity yet to force every senator to publicly say whether they stand with the nearly 75% of Americans who support Audit the Fed or with the special interests, Wall Street fat cats, and high-priced DC lobbyists.

Fed sympathizers are pulling out all the stops to thwart our efforts, and they are being aided by the Federal Reserve's cheerleaders in the financial media.

We saw during the government shutdown how many so-called "conservative leaders" both in and out of Congress cut and ran when the statists put the heat on.

That is why we must turn up the pressure on Congress!

Campaign for Liberty staff will keep working the Hill to increase support, but we need your help.

Our strength comes from grassroots Americans like you - not from connections to well-off special interests or Big Media.

So please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 today!

Raising $85,000 will allow us to run a full-scale email and mail program to mobilize more Americans to our cause;

With an additional $60,000, we can purchase Internet, radio, and full-page ads in targeted states;

And finally, hitting our $250,000 goal will enable C4L to run hard-hitting TV ads.

After today's hearing, the Senate Banking Committee will likely vote on Yellen's nomination next week, with the full Senate debating it shortly after Thanksgiving.

So Campaign for Liberty needs to finalize its plans as soon as possible to make sure our efforts have maximum effect.

That is why it is vital you please make your most generous contribution to Campaign for Liberty's Audit the Fed Money Bomb today!

Stay tuned for updates on Campaign for Liberty's progress in getting more senators to Stand with Rand and force Harry Reid to finally hold an up or down, roll call vote on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill (S. 209).

We can't win this fight without you.

So please contribute to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb today.

Thank you for your continued support!

In Liberty,

John Tate
President

P.S. Campaign for Liberty's legislative team has been working hard to increase support for Audit the Fed on Capitol Hill.

And we will keep doing so until Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill passes and the American people finally learn the truth about how the Federal Reserve is benefiting big-spending politicians, Wall Street special interests, and even foreign governments and central banks at the average American's expense.

With Senator Rand Paul's hold on Janet Yellen's nomination to be Fed Chair, we have our best opportunity ever to make Harry Reid hold an up or down, roll call vote on Audit the Fed.

Janet Yellen's confirmation hearing begins in a few hours. The Senate Banking Committee is likely to vote on the Yellen nomination as early as next week, with debate on her confirmation starting shortly after Thanksgiving.

After all you and I have done, we cannot allow this opportunity to slip through our fingers.

So please make your most generous contribution of $15, $10, or $5 to our Audit the Fed Money Bomb today!
